Yana just smiled and nodded, Faust didn't really look like the type to buy a girl's affections but she also knew that on some level, Karisa might see it that way. Just like Yana always saw the best in people to a fault, Kari unconsciously did the opposite, seeing the worst in even the best intentions.

"I wouln't be too surprised it she enjoyed it...!", Yana responded in kind, covering her mouth as she chuckled slightly.

And with this, Faust went back to shopping for clothes instead of jewelry, and she looked on curiously as she picked something from the shelves, "Aww, that's adorable~!!", Yana commented with a glimmer in her eyes.

Even Ari approached the two, crossing her eyes and nodding approvingly, "I'm sure she'll love that one, no doubt!"

With approval from both of them he smiled at his choice. “You sure you don't like it because it's cat related Ari~” He teased at her while looking into her eyes with a bit of a serious face on, wanting to see how she would react. His words were filled with sweetness, however his eyes blazed and gazed into her own as if he was looking to find some truth she was hiding behind her actions. After she answered or shyed away he would pay for the hoodie and look back to Yana. “It's such a shame to part ways so soon. How about we grab something to eat and talk a bit? We haven't had a chance to talk by ourselves really.” Now that the fun part was over with he had a more important mission in his mind, finding out more about Karisa's so called friend and finding where her loyalties laid. Ari let out a cute girlish giggle at the comment, shaking her head with an innocent smile, "What makes you think that~?", she'd pout sheepishly, before chuckling once more. Faust didn't seem the least bit put off by her casual humour which only motivated the Gatomon if anything.

Meanwhile, Yana's gaze tralied the boy as he would go on to pay for the jacket, having finally completed his mission. With this, Yana was ready for them to go their separate ways. Yet it seemed that Faust had other ideas. If anything, Yana was positively surprised by his interested in hanging out with her some more (most people didnt), and simply blushed with a happy glimmer in her eyes, nodding affirmatively:

"Sure...! That sounds like fun!", she'd answer, her fidgeting gradually growing less frequent. It actually felt good to realize Faust had even a slightest bit of interest in her beyond help with Karisa...

With Yana agreeing to accompany him for lunch he slowly stepped away from the vender with the hoodie for Karisa in a bag. The only question was what should they go and eat? He himself wasn't that picky of a person when it came to food, honestly living the way he did for so many years having a hot meal was a blessing so he didn't care what it tasted like, however he knew that that wasn't true for most people. He didn't know what sort of food Yana like nor what Ari liked either. Only a few steps away from the booth he turned to face them with a soft smile across his face while his eyes looked at them both with kindness. “So I'm not really a picky eater, but I don't know what you two want so if you guys don't have any ideas I'm thinking maybe a little cafe down the street or in Japan. What do you say?”

Faust left the shopping stall and Yana followed suit, with both of them carrying their respective bags. She fanned herself with one hand and looked at the guy, wondering what he'd want to go next... She had just come from the real world and was in no mood to get back there so soon. Even if it was really hot here in Tecton City, Yana would much rather look around a little bit more so she simply shook her head at the last suggestion, "Maybe we can find a shaded place to eat something here?", she'd suggest, looking around for one such cafe or something of the sort, before turning back to faust with a smile.

After all, he had just bought her something plus he seemed happy to hang out with her. Eventually, she spotted what seemed to be a café under a canopy and pointed there: "How about that place...?"

Her response was to be expected, he didn't mind the heat or the sun, but he wasn't so sure of the rest of the world out there. “Yea that sounds like a great idea, smart and cute~ I bet you have all the guys coming after you.” He said in a teasing tone as he followed her into the shaded cafe, making sure to pull out her seat for her and her digimon. Looking at the menu he ordered an ice tea along with a turkey club for himself and would wait to see what the other two would order for drinks and food before he would speak again, this time with more meaning to his words.

“So tell me Yana how long have you been in the digital world? I ask given I'm relatively new to this whole world. “ He smiled as he took a look around seeing a few things out of place, mostly a Troopmon that clearly had the Shin Sekai logo on it wandering around the streets aimlessly. “Huh, more Troopmon of the Shin Sekai.... they seem to be getting bolder and bolder each day. That reminds me are you in any groups?” His eyes went back to Yana as he gave her a somewhat serious glare staring into them wondering what she was about to say.

Predictably enough, Faust's comment had her blush, look away, and fidget with an embarassed tone, "N-no I d-don't...!", she'd retort cutely, earning another giggle from Ari who very much enjoyed Yana's usual reactions. Indeed, Yana got no such attention, at she noticed it, usually being too withdrawn and not really knowing that many people. She smiled politely as he pulled out her seat, sitting down alongside ari, who sat on Yana's lap, "Such a gentleman~", she'd praise

"Not long actually, about a month or two?", she'd look down at Ari, as if looking for confirmation which her digimon didn't give. When the waiter came by to take her order, she got an orange juice and a ham and cheese toast, with Ari ordering the same. Of course, their peaceful afternoon snack just HAD to be interrupted by grunts bearing the Shin Sekai logo, "They better not be here to start another battle...", Yana uttered with a scowl.

Yet Ari just kept eating peacefully, as if she wasn't the least bit worried by anything the Shin Sekai could throw at them, especially not their small fry. Starting wars wasnt' anything they were interested in regardless...

"Hmm, I just joined a Card fighter group called Nexus, have you heard of it? I didn't actually know how to play the game until one of them taught me...", she'd answer absent mindedly, cocking her head slightly, "If you like Digimon Cards, its a good place to be!"

He chuckled at the comment she gave about them starting trouble. It was rare to see a troopmon so far away from their base, but there was no oder given out to invade an area today, however what was more troubling was finding out that she had joined Nexus. He simply smiled and pulled out three cards guaranteed to draw attention. The first of them was a Beelzemon's Berenjena equipment card while the other two were sin cards one of greed the other of pride. “I know the card game very well, though I don't have too many I use these three to get by, what about you? Have anything of interest in your collection?” He asked curious about what she had in her list of cards.

However after hearing what she had to say about her own cards he would turn to look at her with a serious look across his face and a devilish smile. “You know I wouldn't stay in Nexus for very long. Can't say what but something bad is going to happen to them~ I can't guarantee that anyone will be safe for long in their group or in any group at all really~” He slowly took a sip from his ice tea. He kept his smile across his face and looked at Yana. Yana Sekigawa

He promptly pulled out three cards, all of which had Yana gawking and letting out an astonished "Wow!"; all of these cards looked pretty rare! In return, she pulled out the only card she had at the time, a Machinedramon, "This is the only one I have for now...", she'd explain with a sheepish, apologetic tone.

But then the food arrived, and what looked like a fun moment turned rather grim as Faust gave out an ominous warning. About every group being in danger:

"Wha... W-what do you mean...?!", Yana asked with a frightened look, visibly worried for the safety of all her friends in not only Nexus, but all the other groups she had friends in.

She shook her head at the very thought, Yana didn't want to fight... But she didn't want to stand in the sidelines while her friends were injured or possibly even killed. At that point she didn't really care who stood in her way, she would defenitely protect them when the time came, even if her look was all but convincing at the time being.

Ari, however, wasn't nearly as naive and a good bit sharper. Faust was too insightful concerning something he obviously shouldn't know about... She realized he probably meant it as a warning but in the end his words sounded too much like a veiled threat to ignore. The Gatomon figured it best just pointing out an important detail, at least one she and Yana alike hoped he'd deem important:

"You do realize Karisa is part of a group too, right?", Ari calmly noted, not once losing her composure and faint smile, simply taking a nibble from her sandwich.

She could only hope her hunch was right and Faust actually cared for the girl he claimed to love...

He smiled and chuckled at Ari reminding him that Karisa was in a group. “Yes she is, but she isn't in any danger, luckily both me and her have friends in high places~ Never the less Yana there was a reason I brought this up to you, you need to leave Nexus, it isn't safe there and their lead by a fool. That group is dangerous not to others but to it's self. When it falls it's going to take everyone with them in a blaze of glory and it's going to happen sooner than you think.” With those words said he slowly bit into his own sandwich before putting away his cards. There was truth to his words Shin Sekai was planing to rid the world of Zachery and without their leader the ill structured group would fall followed by the Shin Sekai either killing or kidnapping any remaining members for who knows what.

“Take my words as a warning, but also as an offering, I know Karisa cares about you and seeing as you are one of her closest friends I want you to stay safe as well, but I alone can't guarantee your safety, well not without help and involvement from you.” He gave a sweet smile towards her appearing as if he really did want to help her out. “The digital world is a scary and dangerous place even for someone as strong as you.” He placed a soft hand ontop of Ari's head rubbing her ears for a bit. “However if you're willing I know of ways to be safe. Interested?”

Friends in high places huh? Yana cocked her head own gloomily as Ari didn't even flinch as the answer confirmed her suspicions. Faust gave off a bad vibe in the way he issued his warning, and this proved it. He was either fully in on whatever was going to happen or doing a damn fine job at making it seem like it. Yana knew Zachary well enough, even if he wasn't the smartest apple in the bunch he was her friends. His only sin was being too nice, just like Yana herself was.

"That fool is my friend.", her frightened shivering gradually stopped and eventually gave way to something else. Ever since the Seven started pushing their antics to the next level, the more she started accepting that only they should die in the incoming conflict. Threatening Zachary was bad enough... But the whole of Nexus?! Haru-chan was part of it too. Faust's words sunk in more than he'd probably want, and the sight of Haru-chan caught in the middle of a "blaze of glory" didn't leave her mind; just because someone decided she belonged to the wrong group, "Does your protection include each and every one of them? Then I'm not interested... I'll protect them myself."

She had no doubt he actually cared about her, if only a little bit. He wouldn't have spilled this much information otherwise. But at this point Faust lost the trust Yana had in him. As he was busy petting the impassive Ari, Yana's crest and digivice lit up, the tamer herself finally looking up to stare into his eyes with a distant, hateful glare. Anybody could feel this wasn't the same girl as five minutes earlier.

Yana knew very well that these kind of people used all kind of strategies to get an edge on their foes, like attacking digimon during digivolutions and aiming for the tamers. Channeling that desire, Ari digivolved faster than she ever did before; simply because Yana's usual self was too naive to ever do anything about it.

In a flash of holy light, Ari's body shifted and warped into a more human, angelic figure, with one arm pointed straight at Faust's chest, priming a menacing holy arrow, "You probably shouldn't have said that~", Ari observed, not losing her confident faint smile. Fortunately for her, even in this state Yana was driven by unyielding love rather than pure hate...

"Keep talking. Who is doing what, when and why.", Her tone growing graver and more menacing, now it would be Yana's turn to warn. Calmly eating her sandwich with one hand, the other gripped her digivice and slipped under the table, giving clear orders to keep Faust from trying to do the same, "Ari, if you stop seeing his hands, shoot him. If he moves suddenly, shoot him."

Feeling Haruhi being threatened so casually brought out the worst in her and it wasn't even anger this time. Projecting her hatred of the Seven and the Shin Sekai onto a much more palpable, she was determined to get squeeze every inch of information from Faust, with his relationship to Kari being the only reason why he had yet to be shot.

Fortunately the five Troopmon had walked quite a good distance now, even if he cried for help it would still be a while before they showed up to help, even then they still had the Ultimate Ari between themselves and Yana.

To see that Yana had Ari digivolve into Angewoman and point her bow at him was a shock, but something that wouldn't faze him for long. He let out a heavy sigh and shook his head. “So you show your true colors as an agent of Nexus huh?” He let those words sink in for a moment before speaking again. “I not only give you advice and offer to help keep you safe and this is how you repay me? By having Ari point her arrow at me and threatening to kill me in a public cafe in front of people and digimon? No wonder so many want Nexus gone, if this is how the so called heroes act when offered help I can't even imagine what you do to those you call your enemy.”

He stopped speaking for a bit to lift up his ice tea and take a sip from it. “You want to know who is planning on attacking Nexus and getting rid of the Watch? Here's a hint look around you. It's not the Shin Sekai, it's not ringbound, it's not anyone in particular. It's the everyday people getting sick and tired of those irresponsible tamers and digimon doing whatever they want defending their actions by claiming it's for the greater good. For gods sake Yana do you even see what you're doing and what you're becoming? When have you ever heard of a good guy threatening an unarmed civilian for information? Or did you not notice I'm not carrying my sword?”

He stopped to place his glass back down on the table and looked at the both of them with a stern look. “Do you really think that Karisa would forgive you if you did this? Shooting her boyfriend in cold blood in broad daylight without any provocation or aggression and don't think that news of this won't reach her, or did you both think that this wouldn't be seen by the public? Look around at what's going on and who is around you right now.” Edward would stop for speaking for a moment for Ari and Yana to look and see what was going on. While Yana had Ari digivolve into an Angewoman and pointed it's arrow at him, it seemed that they had forgotten where they were. Everyone around them had their eyes at Yana and Ari for what was going on right now. Some of the few humans around had their hands on their digivices ready and even some of the digimon were eyeing the two up.

From the outside view it looked as if Yana and Ari were threatening Edward without reason. All everyone else saw was Edward needed help and protection from the two. When Yana and Ari's eyes came back to meet with Faust's he would sigh once more. “Do you see it now? Do you see the hate and anger towards you two and the sympathy and readiness to help towards me? Tell me Yana would you be willing to not only kill me right here and now, but then have to fight everyone around you because of this? More innocent people who are trying to do the right thing? Would you fight them all just to prove that you were right and this was a just action, even if you thought that for a moment you're no better than the people in the Shin Sekai that you seem so disgusted with.”

It seemed like the more he talked the more he dug himself into a hole, both for lying and for failing to understand everything. Both the girl before him and the situation he was in. Nexus having irresponsible tamers? The organization had only just been founded, Zachary had never really done any jobs under their banner. Lie.

"Im sorry about this, everyone. But some people don't believe you can issue death threats in public and expect them to be ignored. We'll be out of your way before you know it~", Ari would address everyone else in a non menacing tone, though it wouldn't do much, it would be more than enough to state their quarrel was with the man sitting across them and nobody else.

In the meantime, Yana just appeared to ignore every word he said, but she was actually paying attention, and feeling thoroughly disgusted. People sick of irresponsible tamers? They only actually do what needs to be done when terrorists show up to attack cities though. More lies. Yana knew people would turn on her for having Ari do this, but she also knew that if she didn't do it herself, she'd never get him to talk. He might even end up attacking her himself and make a run for it once the odds turned against him. She was starting to understand that she could only face these people by being as ruthless as they were

"Are you done?", Yana would ask with even colder tone, finishing her meal.

In the end, Faust's endless blabbing did yield some useful information. She knew about Shin Sekai, but not of Ringbound... And now she knew about both. She initally suspected Faust to be a misguided type like Rei-chan... But now she knew he was more of a manipulative prick and nothing he said could be trusted. He had the type of mind that would have turned Rei-chan to the darkness in the first place.

"You talk too much... Yet you don't say anything to help your case.", Yana observed, clearly unfazed by all of his blabbering. If anything, the only effect he seemed to be having was fully printing a bullseye on his head, "Ari, light."

○ Saint Air - Forms a halo over her head that glimmers and radiates an overwhelming aura of light. Those Angewomon precieves as allies will feel their strength and stamina restored, recovering 25% Health and dispelling status, while those she precieves as enemies will have 50% reduced speed for 1 turns - 2 if Virus - while enemies higher enemies of Ultimate level or below who look at Angewomon or her halo will be stunned. In addition, attacks aimed at the halo will be absorbed into it, allowing Ari to collect the data and empower her next attack. She can only collect power once per use, and doing so dispels the technique (adds each attack's base power Ari's). COOLDOWN: 4 Posts after effect ends

With these words, Ari pointed her idle hand up, instantly flooding the area with blinding light. With everyone looking at them, the effects would be immediate.

Anyone weaker than ultimate level, looking towards them and bearing a digivice would be stunned, Faust would be stunned regardless. If he somehow wasn't and he tried to digivolve, Ari would use her instant acceleration to intercept and kick off his digivice. From then on, the plan would be simple: Quickly frisking Faust while everyone was dazzled by the overwhelming light, Ari would secure his digivice and any weapon he yet had, and put them in Yana's hand as climbed onto the Angewomon's back. At that point, she would grab the Faust by the scruff of his collar, instantly accelerating skywards, stopping only when the city below them was but a mere dot. The stun would wear eventually half way, and Ari would stop soon, at roughly 5 miles in the air.

And to the onlookers back at the city, all they would be able to see was the trio seemingly vanishing into thin air.

"It's seems you're not understanding anything at all yet. I love Karisa like a sister... Yet being her boyfriend won't let you threaten the one I love and I get away with it.", Yana would explain, as Ari stretched her hand out, holding the powerless Faust, "Enough lies. I want to know who is attacking, when and how."

She no longer had Faust's digivice in her hand, having stored in her backpack early on through the ascent, and instead had her own. Faust had been stripped of anything he could use as a weapon, his only company would be the strong wind whipping their hair around, and the menacing abyss looming below him. A fall from this height would ensure there would be nothing left to bury as he'd become mere specks of dust in Matrix Sandsea...

The tone Yana took when she said was he finished made him realize that what he had said was all for naught, either way he knew one thing after hearing her tone, she was someone that cared deeply about her friends. Finding himself stunned by a bright light he would see that Ari would quickly follow up with this by searching for his things and only find his digivice, he was telling the truth, he had been carrying no weapons nor had he any plans of carrying them at all. What happened next was somewhat to be expected, he was taken into the air and then once more interrogated.

As the stun wore off he smiled happily looking at Yana. At her reaction to what he had said, it seemed as if she would sacrifice everything to protect the ones she cared about. Something that he would only do for Karisa. “It seems I can trust you after all and we're far enough away from snooping ears for them to actually hear what I am going to tell, but just so you know I would never threaten Karisa and if you care for her as much as you say you do calm down for a moment and let me speak.” He took a deep breath and look out into the open sky, “being up here reminds me why I love the digital world sometimes. Anyways as far as who or when the attacks are coming I don't know, if I did I would of told you and been more specific. Yana think for a moment, why would I tell you of an attack and warn you about it so half haphazardly if I knew more. You know how I feel about Karisa and you also know that if you got hurt she would be devastated, I don't want that from her. My words were a warning, the biggest danger to you isn't the Shin Sekai. There are others moving I only hear rumors and whispers as I travel around, but something is going to happen. I can't say why or how, because I don't know, but something will happen.”

Another deep breath was taken as he looked into Yana's eyes, “you can believe me or not, but I haven't lied about myself yet have I? I told you I was unarmed and I was, I invited you out for your help, not for this, I gave you a warning after finding out in a group and even offered to help keep you safe. If I was lying to you why would I do all of that? Heck check my crest, you have my digivice, it's the crest of sincerity. “ He would keep his smile across his face, not one of worry, but one of gratitude that he had found someone else willing to throw everything away to protect Karisa.

There was a certain... Honesty... In being all the way up here. The moment they were devoid of witnesses for Faust to hide behind, it didn't take long for him to change his tune. He didn't lose his arrogance, but at least he no longer dared insult the tamers who fight to save people against terrorists like the Shin Sekai, especially he didn't dare clamor for their deaths anymore. It was actually pretty gratifying to how quickly his self righteous airs were literally gone with the wind. Anyone who believed in killing innocents in the name of a new world deserved nothing but being reduced to dust, even more so if they tried to defend those who did. Her scrutinizing eyes watched him attentively, displaying no reaction even as he stated all he knew were rumours. It felt like too little too late:

"If you had said all of that earlier... Maybe Nana-chan would still trust you.", Ari shook her head disapprovingly

Between his casual statement of Nexus being doomed and only Yana being allowed to save herself, and then his manipulative lies, she had a hard time trusting him. She clicked her tongue at the mention of his crest being Sincerity: the situation they were in with Yana posessing the Love crest should have probably hinted as to why that wouldn't be a foolproof argument.

He could have apologized, he could have admitted he was lying...

Instead, he reassured that everything he said was god's honest truth, including his opinion on what deserved to happen to Nexus and its members. Yana's eyebrow visibly twitched at his last word, signalling her disapproval:

"Of course the real enemy isn't the Shin Sekai, the Seven are just puppets under someone else's control. Does that excuse them killing every innocent in the way? No. Defending their actions is just as bad.", Yana sighed, resigning herself to what she had to do, "In the end I'll just save Karisa from a rotten apple... Rest in Peace."

And with these final words, Ari unclenched her hand, letting gravity do the rest and letting him plummed back down to the desert...

With the way he lied and callously hid behind civilians before - only changing his tune when confronted with the possibility of dying - she thoroughly believed Faust would eventually betray Kari... Whether that moment would come out of simple convenience or because he simply grew tired of her she didn't know.

Fortunately for him, he had actually stated something she knew to be true: Shin Sekai wasn't the real threat, but Plutomon pulling their strings.

Even if Yana's darkness knew what needed to be done, she also knew doing it herself would make Kari feel betrayed anyways, if not by Faust, by herself instead, which could potentially be worse on her mind. After he had fallen a good while, Ari would finally allowed herself to voice her insecurity, fully aware she didn't have the luxury of doing so in front of an enemy, "Are you sure about this, Nana-chan...?"

"No...", she shook her head reluctantly; as much as she wanted to kill him, part of her couldn't allow her to hurt Kari like that, "I doubt this will even accomplish anything, but maybe he'll understand that those who casually clamor for death should expect the same to greet them anytime. Let him fall a bit more. Then we can catch him..."

It seemed many among the Shin Sekai and their sympathizers believed their foes to be sheep who could just be led to the slaughter without question. Maybe this would prove them otherwise. Ari would get moving eventually, plummeting down at full speed.

As Faust approached the ground at terminal velocity - only a mere second instantfrom certain death - he would feel something securing him from the back of his neck. It seemed Ari and Yana had descended from a blind spot and grabbed on to his collar once more. It would probably hurt a lot to suddenly lose speed like that - easily dislocating one arm if not both - and falling on the soft sand would hurt even more. He would crash with a loud thud, leaving a crater and raising a cloud of dust. He would probably not bleed (much) but the impact would probably crack a few bones, but at least he wouldn't die.

Yana and Ari gave him a measure of mercy he most certainly wouldn't have given them if their roles were reversed, and they hovered above the air with Tecton city on the horizon, the tamer stared down and gave her reasons:

"Thank Kari when you meet her, she's the only reason you're still alive. If any harm comes to her, I'll assume its your fault: Should that happen...", Yana quickly grabbed his Digivice and what other stuff she had taken from Faust, callously throwing them onto the desert sand and leaving him to search for them, "...I will find you and I will kill you."

Leaving him to search and go back to the city to retrieve the gift he bought, Yana would go meet Kari immediately. She would hear what just happened from Yana first, forcing him to search for his digivice would ensure he'd still be in the desert a while longer.
