The Outer Reaches... the final digi-frounteer. These are the tales of captain Starmon. Their ongoing mission: To explore strange new lands and seek out new allies and enemies. To boldly go to where no mon has-- HEY WAIT I WASN'T DONE YET!!

That was all that Panthermon and Zachary bothered to listen to Starmon's rather outlandish dramatized description of an area in the digital world that had made Zachary curious enough to ask him. Of course, he regretted it as the starmon always tried to make things a bigger deal than they were.

Ever since they had constructed the digital jump-gate in the present home for Nexus, inside the Cloud Fields, on a floating island in them-- Zachary and Panthermon had been using the jump point as a means of getting around. The gate offered a place to teleport themselves anywhere in the digital world. And thanks to their digivice apps made by another member, Jeremy, they could even teleport back with ease. Either way, it made travel in the digital world a lot faster than normal here. (Preludes to the Nexus team events going on)

So knowing that, they thought to explore a new area of the digital world. The Outer Reaches. Though it was supposidly empty space, and dangerous to just go out there, there was some form of anchorage in the space there.

Zachary and Panthermon soon were wisked away in the direction of the outer reaches-- of course they hoped to land in a place where they could survive.

A Change That Was Needed

"It's beautiful, isn't it" Sebastian would say softly, looking through his mask, the young man would turn to Jasmine, his sparrowmon was situated upon the ground beside him, using her small hands to pull herself up to the window to look out. Her eyes widened in amusement, seeing the entirety of the digital world. It was beautiful. "It is" Jasmine would say softly before looking to Sebastian. "But it's beauty...its a lie, we've seen it. We've seen the evil thats down there" Jasmine would say. "Your right, but it doesn't mean theres no beauty and goodness down there too." Sebastian would say. "Your right" she would say ever so gently. With a smile Sebastian would turn away from the view, looking to his digivice. "Anything?" she would ask softly. Sebastian would shake his head. "Typical, us join a group of mercanaries and get a dud contract" she would say with a smile.

Sebastian would laugh. "Thats typical" he uttered, looking to his digivice before sending out his own message. The merc Sebastian Devaroux, or well, that name was gone. Only the main man of the Wild Cards knew it, the rest would simply know Sebastian Devaroux as the Wandering Spade. The man had taken a new identity, a new appearance as such, ever since his battle against Hamelin, or Gepetto, he had decided that an alternative I.d would be better. Something like Batman, a vigilante, he would work from the shadows and with Jasmines new appearance, well, it just made sense, if he was smart people wouldn't find out it was him. He could move on. For the Sebastian and Penguinmon people knew before was dead. The despair, the destruction of his life, it all played a part in changing him, do not get me wrong, he was not evil. He was not dark, he would not kill unless it was the last resort but the fact that he would, the fact that he would kill...that was enough of a difference to change his entire being.

"I guess we should head to the teleporter" Sebastian would say, as he turned the robe he wore turned with him, the entirety of his outfit completely changed his appearance, no more wearing the black and white outfit that placed him as a waiter. The oni mask, red, and terrifying, it all hid his true identity so well, it showed the demon within. He also wore on his lapel a small golden spade like the card signifying his allegience with the wild cards. A red ribbon was upon his arm, tied tightly hiding the mark which had been a curse, now hiding the blessing of Jupitermon. Pacing the digivice enhanced with the card reader granted to him by the god, Sebastian and Jasmine would head towards the transporter. If there job had been cancelled then they would need to fill in and request a new one. "Or we could have a look around"

Light appeared out of the empty space as data gathered-- and soon the transmission was complete within the mechanical hall of the Outcome. The light gathered like something from science fiction-- and shapes took form out of the light. IN a matter of seconds, Zachary and Panthermon appeared and the light faded. Nexus' teleportation effects worked great and luckily it sent them to Outcome without issue. 

"Zachary, you okay?" " the panther asked, looking to Zachary-- but was caught surprised by something.

"WHOAH--!" Zachary gasped, feeling a change in the atmosphere.

They were not touching the ground. They could breathe, they were inside-- but there was no gravity keeping them in place. They were freely floating as Zachary soon found himself afloat in the air, his jacket moving a bit around him as he struggled to find something to ankor himself too. So did Panthermon as the cat floated about, unable to move with his animal like form.

"W-what? Zero gravity?" Zachary asked, as he looked around. They were inside the metallic structure-- but they soon saw a thin strip of glass that looked out of it. Reaching forward, Zachary attempted to "swim' his way towards the wall, seeing a handle that allowed people to grip onto things.

Panthermon and Zachary slowly reached the wall and looked out of the narrow window-- and Zachary's eyes widened at what he saw. "I don't believe it... Panthermon, we really are here. " he said.

Looking out, they could see a large structure around them-- a large space station, like object where they were inside. But more impressive, was the view they got. Among the blackness of space and specks of stars, they could see the world below them. Perhaps not the real world-- the digital world-- but the planet itself below them. And if it was, the real world, it would of been hard to tell the difference because it was all beautiful to the naked eye.

It really made them believe they were out in outer space-- a dream Zachary had thought about many times growing up.

"It's beautiful..." Panthermon said, his paws on the glass as he looked out.

The two would look at the view for a moment, but then Zachary pulled away gently, looking where they were. It was clear they were in some kind of hallway, connecting parts of the space station together. It was very utilitarian, with pipes and wires running through the place. The handles around the room was clearly to allow people to get around in the zero gravity-- to let them get footing so they could push off and get to their destination.

"I wonder who else is up here," Zachary asked, Panthermon still observing the view-- not that Zachary could blame him.
