Despite the chaotic situation, the fight seemed to be going pretty smoothly. The four of them were handling the Birdramon fairly well. Guess those birds were all bluster, picking on those weaker than them, but falling short when compared to someone their own size."Alright Sable," Hyde spoke to his partner, "Let's show them what we can do!" Sable nodded and the Knight Chessmon took off into a run, darting for a nearby rocky outcrop, one that would take them higher up. With a burst of speed, Sable charged for the end, leaping off the edge and high into the air, launching herself at the nearest Birdramon. Hyde meanwhile held on for dear life. "Gallop Whole!" she yelled out, intent on slamming that damn bird into the ground. Meanwhile, her Big Darts attack should be coming down right about now. It didn't matter which target. All that mattered was that at least one bird was going to hit the floor.

Success! Basil had managed to score a hit, but at the expense of some singed fur. The arbor dragon had been burned a bit from the excess of the Meteor Wing, but he got one of the birds pinned in the air. It started to slowly descend, giving the plant dragon enough time to charge up his next move. Hopefully the others were having as efficient as a time. The jagged mane had finally ceased, replaced with a mane that shone a bright black alongside his eyes. Once the bird had started flapping to try and regain flight, it launched another onslaught of fire, but this time he had a counterattack already.
All of the vines around his person began to surround Basil, forming something like a cage as he floated up in the air. As the next Meteor Wing descended upon him, his Apollo's Blessing was ready. While it didn't stop Basil from getting a few more burns, he forced through it and charge straight ahead, the cage taking most of the damage. He went straightforward, aiming to catapult himself onto the bird like a large cannon to take it right out of the sky with the brambles and spikes left on the cage along with his own tonnage.
