Yana had arrived here drawn by a request for interested fighters or fighter wannabes: Issued by Master Gokuwmon of the Ryūsui Sekken Dojo... But what truly drew Yana wasn't the idea of learning how to fight - she knew that already - but the discipline and peace of mind she hoped to learn from a Digimon martial arts master. Her Sensei (her own mother) could never understand what she had been going through in the Digital world, and even if she did all she could do was try to stop her. Yana realized this need during her adventure in the sewers, and arrived at this course of action a few days later.
Fortunately, Gokuwmon's Dojo was close to her favorite city in the Digital world and the usual place she logged into: Terabyte City. Indeed, the Dojo was in the Nanosphere forests so no more than an half an hour's walk away. To make it even better, the skies were clear and the weather warm and lovely, a gentle breeze rustling the leaves as it passed by. So much it made Yana forget all about the unpleasant reasons that led her to seek out training...
And before she had even noticed, she had arrived... The Ryūsui Sekken Academy... Only it was more than just a simple Dojo. Yana didn't even realize she was already there as she noticed a large wall around her that went as far as the vegetation allowed her to see. Walking along it's side, she eventually came upon an arch with the dojo's sign above it. Inside the courtyard, the vegetation was a lot less dense but still present in a fair amount, and this wasn't even the whole complex! Indeed, it wouldn't be correct to call this a Dojo, but a Martial arts academy; and even then the most surprising part was how despite its size it was still pretty remote, not something one would come upon by accident:
"Wow... It's huge...", Yana commented, jaw dropping slightly as she looked around, half looking for Gokuwmon and half taking in the sights, soon coming upon a large group of students.
The first thing she noticed was how the group was composed of both human and digimon - primarily the latter - and after watching for a while she saw a colossal difference in levels of skill. Some punched and wielded staves with impressive power and dexterity, while others had no idea what they were doing by comparison. Clearly the Academy had recieved many new students as of late...
"There is Gokuwmon!", Ari called out, pointing to the Master digimon, fighting a student with his staff...

◄ HAVEN'T YOU HEARD WHAT BECOMES OF CURIOUS MINDS? Leyton waltzed into the dojo scratching what little bit of stubble he had been growing over the past few weeks, the stupid tournament was taking a lot out of him especially all of the training.
When he saw the message about a dojo, he couldn't pass up the opportunity to test out his newest form, that and make some cash on the side doing nothing but fighting, heck after the pass few days he's felt like a fighting expert having been in just one so far though.
"Helloooo, I'm here for a job," he paused, well well, a hottie and her digimon? Maybe this job would be worth the bruises... "How you doin' hot stuff" HIGHLIGHT CODE

He and his partner were making their way to the dojo. After seeing the details of the job, he decided to take it for a few reasons. A bit of extra training could be just the thing they needed, and the pay seemed just right. He figured that there wasn't much that could go wrong on a job like this. He heard the distant sounds of those training, and couldn't help but grin.
Rias walked next to him, looking over to him as they kept walking. "So we're taking this job after all?" she asked as they were walking into the grounds, coming into view of everything that was going on. Her ears twitched as she seemed to be scanning the sounds around them. "So we're to do a bit of training and then... fight an opposing group?"
"That's about right," he answered as looked over the two others who had already arrived at the dojo. With a small confident grin, he raised his right hand to gave them a small wave. "Well, hey there. Here for the same job I take it?" he said as he placed his left hand into his pocket. Catching glimpse of the young woman, he recognized her on sight. "Well, we meet again," he said with a smile on his face.

60% Experience until Armor Ult 121/200 Posts | Since informing Haru of his past life, the two have had several long talks. These talks stretched across a variety of topics, but largely centered around Vee's former life and expierences. Haru was as surprised as she wasn't. Discovering he'd been a show off in the past wasn't exactly a shock. He did have a bit of a cocky side. Learning he's prioritized speed and strategic planning over brute force was also nothing new.
Discover the trials and tribulations he had gone through to reach each evolution? Who her fought with. Fought for. Trained with or studied under.
Oh all the names mentioned, few seemed to still be around. However, one name stood out to the blonde. Ryusui Sekken... The name of a dojo just outside of Terrabye City. She's passed it several times, heard people talking about it. A Gokuwmon ram the place and he was a tough customer, according to most. More than worthy of his station and the respect of strangers.
"So... You knew this guy?" Haru would ask as they approached the woods where the dojo was situated. Her partner would shrug and rub the back of his head."I mean, I did, but this was a whole other life. I was pretty different back then... Used to be an X-Veemon, thought that because I could fly faster than any champ if ever met meant that I was long of the skies. Came here to bust the dojo... I uhh... I lost pretty bad. Old codger took me in, or he tried to. Teach me about patience, control, ya know, basic martial arts philosophies... "Be like water..." he's say... Gonna be weird seeing him after so long... Didn't leave on exactly the best of terms..." the little blue draconian would declare as the duo entered the dojo, only to be greeted to the site of an all too familiar thin, athletic frame. Haru would lift her hat brim a little and whistle to her friend, moderately surprised to find her here. Apparently, she was talking to two fellows by the look of it. It reminded her that... She didn't know much at all about Yana, really. They were matched fairly well in the athletic department. She had a thing for hand holding... And she could speak Japanese. That was really about it. "Ara~! Yana-san! What are you doing here?" the blonde would cry to her, cupping her hands over her mouth to project her voice above the shouting students.

Yana and Ari weren't the first new students, and they most certainly wouldn't be the last. The white haired male's flattering comment had her blushing and looking away, bring her hands together in front of her chest, "Uhm... H-hello... I'm o-okay...". Fortunately for the shy girl, the next to people who arrived were far more familiar to her, one a lot more than the other. Leon arrived soon after, accompanied by his Renamon partner, "Indeed, hopefully no dinossaurs this time.", she'd comment with a light hearted look. The last time she'd met Leon they wound up fighting agaist hordes of dinosaur Digimon at the Museum of Natural History. Hardly a good place to get to meet new people, so hopefully this time it would be different. "Hello there, Rias; Vee.", Ari greeted, waving at the newcomers.
"Vee...?", confused, Yana looked around, just in time to see Haru walking over to her. Her face suddenly lit up with joy at the sight of the blonde before her, thoroughly delighted to have a chance to spend more time with her, "Haru-chan!!", she walked over to the girl, meeting her halfway, "I wanted to train something new... What about you?", Yana cocked her head curiously, "You look pretty strong already...!"
As the new arrivals had a moment to chat and share impressions, their new master was all but finished with his earlier lesson. Soundly beating his student and giving him more instructions, he handed his staff to another student, leaving the two to practice. He had something else to attend to: New students! And unlike some of the ones he recieved before, these ones looked to be in good physical shape. The well built human males were the prime example, but he could see how even the girl was actually in shape (as was her Gatomon partner), even if some of his own students scoffed at the sight of the seemingly skinny girl and her small digimon.
"Welcome, new students!!", He greeted jovially, "Here to train Ryūsui Sekken with the Grandmaster Gokuwmon-sama? Well, you came to the right place! What are your names?"
"Sekigawa Yana. Please bear with me, sensei.", She introduced herself with a formal bow, even if the master hardly looked as formal, playfully cocky even.
"I'm Ari!"
Grabbing a heap of staves from a vase (all seemingly made of chrome digizoid), Gokuwmon threw one at each of his new students, humans and digimon alike (a smaller staff for smaller digimon like Ari or Vee). Yana struggled with the sudden weight of the staff, but after a few moments got mostly used to it... At least as long as all she did was walk.
"Before anything else, you should all show me what you can do.", he urged them, nodding and pointing towards a small field right next to them. It was filled with rocks, broken tree stumps, and various other obstacles of different durabilities. Yana looked idly at her new fellow students, wondering which of them would take the plunge and go first.
And in the meantime, Gokuwmon just leaned back against a tree, crossed his arms, and watched. He had made his request exceedingly vague for a reason, he wanted to see what his new, potential students would do...

He took hold of the staff that was given to him. Taking a moment to factor it's weight, he carefully moved it around his body as he spun it slowly, adjusting to it's weight. Once he got used to it, he tightened his grip and flicked it back towards his wrist, causing it to rotate along his thumb before catching it with his palm, pointing one end down in front of him. Taking his left hand into a fist before him, he held it parallel to his arm in the form of a bow as he bowed towards him as he introduced himself. "I am Leon Regaros, it is an honor to meet you," he said as he returned from his bow, before glancing at his partner, who was in turn, bowing to the master now.
Rias was holding the staff in a similar matter, bowing before the master as well. Her distinctive red scarf fashioned around her neck shifted as she bowed to the master. Her staff held in her right hand, holding the staff tilted at her side, just how Leon held his. Blue eyes glancing to meet the master. Narrowing her eyes as he stood back up, she spoke gently. "I am Rias," she said as she introduced herself.
Both of them turned to face the obstacle course after taking note of the man who went before them and the amount of strength he demonstrated. While they didn't rely on strength, he knew that their strength was in their team work and Rias using her agility. Letting out an impressed whistle at the demonstration of strength, he began his advance towards the obstacle course.
Rias was close behind as she looked over the course, taking note of the environment before her. Without a word from Leon, she took off, her feet gliding from one wooden peg to another without much difficulty. Her natural agility and balance of her foot work were at show here. She took the staff in hand and readied herself as she gave Leon the notion that she was ready.
Leon used the staff to kick up bits of rock that broke off the stone, before twirling it with his body in carefully aimed strikes. Each one knocking one stone towards Rias, after another. He kept up the pattern of launching them towards her in a continued barrage as he began advancing across the wooden pegs at a casual pace. Feeling the uneven difference between each of the pegs, even some that were left loose and would shift when weight was put on them. He worked hard at keeping his balance as he continued the barrage.
Rias took the staff in hand as the barrage of stones began, she took careful steps among the pegs to dodge a few rocks in the beginning until she lowered her body, twirling the staff around her now as she struck out against those projectile stones. Using the staff to deflect one after another, she was working in tune to how Leon worked. While they knew they probably didn't have as impressive strength, they knew they could work as a team and she was confident enough in her abilities when it came to a game of agility and balance. She continued moving the staff around her body as she turned with it's momentum, keeping the moves fluid in motion. After the final rock flew, she dashed forward in a leap attack, landing a few feet away and swung the staff out in slash like strike, right before Leon. The end of the staff came really close to grazing Leon. Her feet spread apart on the wooden pegs, returning the staff to behind her and giving Leon a respectful bow.
Leon was a bit concerned when Rias went for her strike at him, but gave a sigh of relief along with a half grin once he felt the breeze pass his body with no solid contact. "Good job," he complimented her as he brought his staff back to his side as well before returning a respectful bow to her in recognition. Together, they would hastily begin to leave the field of pegs and back to proper ground.

60% Experience until Armor Ult 121/200 Posts | Ari was the first to greet them, earning an off handed, lazy salure from both Haru and V, mimicking each other without really realizing it. Yana eagerly met the duo half way and explained she was looking to train herself in something new, asking the same question in return, adding in a compliment. Haru looked at V and they shared a state for a moment. The two had been there for his confession about his past life. But they didn't know the details. Haru was silently asking him if he wanted them to know. His lack of any answer was all Haru needed. "Yeah, me too. I'm... Only really good with a bat or a hockey stick or something. Felt it would be good to pick up something new. A little more useful here in the digital world." it was an honest enough lie. V nodded along with his tamer. "She was wonderin about where a human might learn somethin' here, I can't exactly teach her how to uhh, use her head, ya know?"
Pleasantries would have to wait though, as Gokuwmon approached the group, taking his turn to greet them and receive introductions in return. Once the others had spoken, Haru took a brief moment before following suit with Yana, giving the monkey a proper bow. "Uhh, right. Hello. I'm Haruhi..." she'd say offhandedly. It was polite, sure, but she wasn't really here to do any sort of training. V was the one who had wanted to come here. Yet, the little Vernon just gave an off hand salute to the dojo master, remaining silent. It was likely the lack of protest that led to her getting thrown the heavy metal pole. V was to receive one as well but he sionly caught the staff, spinning on it to maintain its speed and chucked it back to where Gokuwmon had retrieved it from. He wasn't sure why he wanted to visit. What he stood to gain from coming here. But he didn't need to train with a weapon he was already familiar enough with. He preceded using his hands anyway.
Haru however shifted her grip all along the staff. It was about twice as heavy as her bat, which made sense it was about twice as long. It didn't take more than a few moments for her to get used to the length, as it wasn't much longer than a hockey stick. She tapped the pole on the floor of the dojo, leaning against it to see how well it held her weight and the thing didn't falter once. While each of Jane's make companions set out hitting the obstacles, Haru spent her time simply moving around with the staff. Once she'd gotten a feel for moving with the added weight, she began to think about how the weight could move. Twirling the staff around was awkward at first but slowly became more fluid as she shifted her grip, finding her center with the stick. Soon what had begun as basic twirls had inadvertently turned into an exhibition.
Holding the staff closer at one end, she swung in wide sweeping arcs, letting the weight carry the stick around her body, even hopping over it as she lowered herself to the ground, moving her hands higher along the staff toward its center gave her the options of either end of the weapon to strike with, and sweeping herself off the floor she'd rise with the lower half of the staff, then bring down the top end diagonally, feeding into a pivot that would strike with the lower half which then seamlessly chained into another upward jab with the top end, moving her hands just slightly lower gave her three quaters of the staff to strike with, and from this hold the young lady would preform a swift strike to the side leading with the top of the rod, only to swing that back to where it had come and further, lifting her legs up into a kick, while driving the staff into the empty air between her legs, changing her grip one final time, ending where she began with both hands at the bottom, shed drive the staff toward the ground and hook her knee around it, kicking off the floor with her grounded leg to spin around the planted pole, easily lifting her weight with its assistance. Once her spin had followed through with its rotation, shed aim for the ground, removing the length from its stationary position and lifting it over her shoulder to slam it into the ground.
Slowly the blonde would come back to her feet, dusting her knees off with a surprisingly genuine smile, happy to feel at home with her new equipment. "Ok! I'm familiar with the tool. What next, coach?" she would ask happily, remembering her time practicing for school sports. Track, Baseball, Hockey, Soccer, Basketball... She could get used to this stick, easy peasy... But then it focused to the girl she called Gakuwmon "coach", something shexhadnt called anyone in quite some time. She blushes a little, feeling herself enter her element clearly warming her heart. V simply smiled from the sidelines, nodding at Haru's impromptu performance. The girl probably couldn't top it by hitting any stionary object, but he Gokuwmon enough to know that he was watching for more than a person's ability to hit something on command.

Yana smiled understandingly at her close friend, even blushing slightly as she looked into her eyes, "Yeah... I know what you mean. Most of the time it's just Ari doing all the work and me watching from the sidelines...", she'd say, looking at the Gatomon with a sad frown even if she didn't look the least bit bothered.
"Good thing you didn't decide to teach her that~", Ari would tease, right before the students got ready for action.
Like Vee, Ari wound up staying behind at first, and the two girls got to watch the initial display.
Gerard went first, putting on a mighty display of strength, not breaking but fully splitting a rock in half with a vengeance. The way he swung the staff implied a decent amount of prior knowledge and experience with it, meaning he'd likely learn their fighting style very easily, at least the purely physical, Yang half. The Yin half would certainly be the real difficulty for him, and to begin drilling it into him, Gokuwmon would plan the best way to teach him. Indeed he could strike hard, but how well could he flow to put even more power between his attacks? And more importantly, to regain his footing following an attack and be ready to counter?
"Your power is defenitely impressive, but being a good fighter requires more than just power.", Gokuwmon commented, crossing his arms and nodding approvingly. He would pick up another staff and throw it his way, "Try this one!" If he grabbed, he would find it to be monstrously heavy, but given the strength he just displayed he should be able to hold it.
Gokuwmon then displayed two simple moves, the most basic of Staff techniques: Simply swinging the staff vertically on either side of his body, and then moving forward while swinging it overhead in either direction, "Practice these two moves for as long as you can!" After exhausting himself with such a heavy weapon, Gokuwmon expected him smashing objects and foes alike without losing his momentum should come as an easy task, setting up the next stage of his training...
Next came Leon and Rias. The tamer and digimon duo worked in unison, destroying rocks left and right. The human easily passed them on to his partner who made short work of them, finishing with a well aimed strike that by all accounts should have hit Leon, and the fact that it didn't displaying a great deal of confidence in each other's abilities.
Their teamwork was top notch: In this Dojo they would hardly train anything of the sort but they wouldn't really need to anyway. Right now the best option to train those two would be to start with their reflexes, in separate, help them improve their ability to spot attacks for themselves. In the end, it would easily assist with teamwork too. But to maximize its effect, he would have to make them train in different ways.
Nodding approvingly, Gokuwmon approached the Duo: "The whole is indeed greater than the sum of its parts. But at some point those parts have to develop separately, so the whole can become even greater."
He then pointed to two groups of students: One was a group of humans practicing with their staves, the other a Fairymon training her forms by herself. Approaching the four humans with his own staff, he signalled them to attack, remaining perfectly still. When the first of them attacked, he countered with a swift strike to his dominant arm, repeating a smilar countering action on the other four. The "matchup" was obviously unfair, but enough for demonstration purposes. None of the strudents were injured and they were ready to keep training:
"Both of you have your own challenge with this exercise: Rias will be patnered with a Champion level, Leon will have four foes. Even in the face of unfavorable odds, your foes must move to you in order to strike: That is more than enough to give you the openings you need to intercept them."
The other students greeted the two with a Bao Quan Li salute (followed by a friendly wave on the fairymon's part): "I'm Fay! Nice to meet ya~!", she greeted Rias, taking her stance with her staff, ready to attack her. It would be hard for Leon and Rias to get a hang on this exercise due to the gap in numbers and power respectively, but being on the defensive and having the opportunity to counter would eventually turn to their favor.
And then came Haru. Perhaps more than Gerard who clearly was somewhat used to wielding a staff, this girl impressed him for her obvious lack of familiarty with the weapon, and how quickly she overcame it. She took her time swinging the staff around, getting the feel for his weight, in the process no doubt observing the other students and seeing what and how they did. In the end, this preparation time was more than worth it.
Though her Digimon was content to watch idly - leading Gokumon to assume she was here to train herself - the tamer executed a long display off staff skill, swinging it around with ease and controlling it well enough to get even half the students gawking.
She had her flow down perfectly at the first try, but apparently lacked power... More importantly, there was something even the wise master couldn't quite place: A certain detachment which he believed would be Haruhi's greatest impediment to growing stronger. A hothead who blindly rushes into battle might fail often, but that passion holds the key to constantly growing stronger, surpassing himself. A detached genious like this girl would fare better than her peers without any trouble, she wouldn't have grown the necessary drive...
And the best way to find it would be to get started with knowing herself a bit better. Nodding approvingly once she came over to him, Gokuwmon pointed towards a few lone poles nearby, in the middle of a pond. There were also some wooden boards beside the lake, which would come into play for the next step in her training: "Good exhibition. Your form needs work, but you're off to a good start. Pick one of those boards and try to balance atop the poles in the lotus position. I'll be with you in a few.", he then chuckled at Vee, "That means you too!"
Before she could learn his style, both master and student both needed to learn more about Haru...
Last but not least was Yana. Similar to Haru, she too had a problem of suppressing her emotions, but hers was entirely different in nature. She simply failed to display any sort of anger as she attacked, and the lack of intensity was clear as day. Picking up the staff and joining her peers, she executed a rather elegant staff form displaying obvious hints of both dance and prior martial arts training, striking poles and rocks every now and then...
All in all, she made it look like she was dancing, not fighting.
Frowning at the wasted potential before him, Gokuwmon wondered how to best get through to her. Opposite to Gerard, she fluttered and drifted over the grounds elegantly, but each and every attack she unleashed lacked substance. He knew this girl would never grow stronger so long as she acted like this... Rejecting your anger isn't the same as beating it, the latter makes you strong, the former makes you weaker.
In the end, his assessment was clear as day: She easily mastered the weight of her weapon, and her footwork had the grace and coordination of a dancer; she could easily master the Yin side of his teachings. But to improve, she had to feel and embrace the spirit to attack.
"H-how was that, master...?", she'd ask sheepishly, bowing after her display
"Hmph...", he scoffed as she turned to him with an expectant look, "Too soft! You lack discipline!!", with these cold words, the Master threw a staff at her, "Here, Polish my shaft!"
The students all laughed and Yana blushed at the comment, with even the Master letting out a chuckle.
"B-but...! It's already clean!", she interjected awkwardly, visibly embarassed for not only being scolded but being made fun of. She cocked her head down and fidgeted slightly, which only made Gokuwmon scowl further.
This girl... She was closer to a sheep than a warrior: Being peaceful doesn't mean to be passive. But how would he be able to drill that notion into her? Even the Idle Ari turned towards her from her training - still swinging the staff at high speed against objects - but for once she didn't look as angry as she might when others hurt her partner. Almost like she understood what he was trying to do...
"That is why I say you lack discipline! Once you're done, clean all of those two. There should be a cloth in there somewhere.", he said, callously pointing towards the jar where all the staves were left in.
With everyone having the next stage of their training, Gokuwmon adressed all of the students even as they went on the various exercises he'd laid out for them:
"Imagine a River... Visualize it... Look at the surface. Now answer: Do you see just a bit of the water flowing, or do you see the whole of it? Flow like the river, crash like waterfall! Never forget: Motion is strength, Speed is power."
"His metaphors suck...", somebody whispered
Yet the master didn't even flinch at the undisciplined student, accurately pinpointing who it was and simply glaring in his general direction:
"You, 2000 pushups!", the master snapped at the jester, confident the culprit knew who he was talking to.
And sure as the sky is blue, a single Ogremon dropped down and started doing pushups...
After this, he would go on to check on Haruhi... Without warning, Gokuwmon picked up one of the wooden slabs, and with a mighty leap, landed right on an unused pole, sitting down on the slab and remaining like that, perfectly balanced with a relaxed look on his face. Clearly this was just about effortless for someone like him...

Leyton caught the staff the master tossed to him, or at least tried to. The piece of equipment once in his grip would sink to the ground pinning his fingers underneath its dense shaft. "Whoa there..." he huffed trying to free himself. "How much does this thing weigh?" he tried his hardest to get it up, something he never really had much of an issue doing before.
While he struggled the others got their items and what not, though Leyton wasn't too focused, he wanted to get this damn staff up. "Come on baby, get up." he managed to inch the rod off of the ground, before having it sink once more trapping his fingers again.

Leon looked to his opponents, rather training partners and gave them a bow. Taking the staff in both hands, he assumed a defensive stance, glancing at each of the others every so often, awaiting for the first strike as he saw the students take their form and surround him. He watched as one of the students charged at him from behind. Taking a step off to the side, he quickly moved the pole and angled it to trip up the charging attacker, before seeing the second attacker come at him. Not having much time to react, he stepped back to arrange the pole before him to block the strike. Knowing he shouldn't stay too focused on one opponent, he pushed the pole up, interrupting their balance. Taking a quick turn, he used the pole to push against the attackers side, pushing them off into the way of the third attacker. This however, left him a bit exposed and he felt a painful impact hit against his leg as the fourth managed to use the length of the pole to his advantage and struck out with it using a thrust strike into his right leg. Wincing in pain, he would try to shake it off as he got ready for their next wave of attacks.
"Okay... three out of four... Gotta do better," he muttered to himself in a determined tone. Moving back into his defensive stance, he took the pole back into his hands.
Rias returned the bow to Fairymon and took her stance, but was not given much time to ready herself as Fairymon began the attack. Taking a charge at her, she managed to take a small leap back, using the staff as she turned it before her to push aside the charging attack. It was a simple strike attempt but it was used to try and test her reflexes. "Not bad, but I won't let myself be defeated easily," she said smugly, turning the pole around some, taking a step forward, forcing the other side of the pole towards Fairymon to try and strike at her. It was blocked by Fairymon using the short amount of staff she had from striking out.

60% Experience until Armor Ult 121/200 Posts | Haru blinked a little at the task given to her. Balance... On a pole? How would that help her form? Not wanting to question it, the girl obeyed, grabbing not one but two boards, one for her and the other for Vee, who unsurprisingly enough was no more interested in training than he had been moments ago. The V-Mon through his hands up with a slight chuckle, a show of surrender and dismissal as he shook his head, "Uhhh nehnehneh, I'm good. I got plenty of balance in my life meng, my chakras are 100% clear I don't-" the blue digimon's protests would be silenced by a board to the head, flung from Haru who was trying to figure out how exactly to get the board atop the staff so she could sit on it. Vee just looked at the girl with a plaintiff stare but resigned himself to his fate, giving Ari and off hand salute. Aproaching Haruhi he'd try to give the girl a bit of a hand but she would have none of it, all the while Yana preformed her own staff dance, not too disimilar to Haruhi's, yet by the end of it Gokuwmon certainly seemed less impressed. It was the mocking laughter of the students that drew the blonde's attention away from the task at hand to glance over to her friend who looked quite dejected to say the least. Vee however simply stroked his chin thoughtfully. The girl hadn't been too bad, really. Sure she lacked passion but then she was just showing off with a stick, the only difference between her performance and Haru's was that she had accidentally shown passion. Usually the girl was quite passive... Then again, of the two, she had always shown more of a spine. Yana was nice but hardly what one might call practical. To Vee it seemed the girl lacked a resolve to what she needed to do, as opposed to what she wanted to do. Something Haru certainly had in spades, it was just a matter of getting her to care, which often took life threatening situations...
While Vee had been distracted, Haru had decided to take the board into her mouth, and use her scarf to assist in climbing up the staff, once at the top a balancing act was required to stand on it, slowly and carefully set down the board, then lower herself into a sitting position. Quite satisfied with her problem solving skills, Haru smiled in spite of herself. It brought her back to her days at gym class. They felt like a lifetime ago, though it had only been a few months... Part of her missed school. She did like learning. Still, she wasn't keen to go back to some strangers who didnt know her, and didn't care about her. How could they, really? Sone wanted to try and replace her parents, a22nd others wanted her to replace their kid... Neither worked and thats still not accounting for the ones that just wanted a check from the state. Whatever the case, she was content to wait out the next two years... How long could that really be?

Still Ashamed of the master's words, Yana was determined to better herself and change his mind. She had seen enough martial
arts films to know how Kung fu masters made their students carry out seemingly menial tasks that ultimately wound up
furthering their fighting abilities. This would be no exception, right? Soon the mockery died down as all of the students
were gradually focused entirely on their own training regimen, and Yana followed suit, occasionally shooting a glance
towards Haru, whose training looked a lot more interesting. She seemed to be wondering how she was gonna sit down on top of a board while balancing it on a pole, Gokuwmon's demonstration hardly giving her anything resembling a hint. She was gonna have to figure it out herself, which she did soon enough. Grabbing the board with her teeth and using her scarf for assistance, she climbed atop the pole the hard way since she lacked the Master's Ultimate level agility on her side.
But despite the more difficult method, she got up there and balanced regardless, but would she be able to hang in there for long?
Yet Yana didn't really have the luxury of focusing solely on her girlfriend's training. Even Ari was still mostly focused on practicing her staff moves, soon to be joined by a friendly Mikemon who joined her in a little sparring. With a senpai who matched her in both size and digivolution level, she now had a proper session cut out for her... While Yana was still busy cleaning poles until they were spot shiny. Having two jars, she took every staff and put it in the same, cleaning them all one by one and putting them back in the empty jar to separate them. It was far more exhausting that it looked, not to mention useless, but she did it anyway...

The new students were fitting in quite nicely, unlike other martial arts schools they weren't really pressured into catching up quickly, and instead allowed to develop at their own pace. Once their greater weaknesses had been trained off, they'd grow into a more traditional training program, like the ones most other students were immersed in. Leyton was struggling with the heavyweight pole in his hands, spending a great deal of time just trying to lift it. His straining effort didn't escape the attentive eyes of some of the other students, particularly a rather cute and playful Ranamon who was also doing a similar training: "What do we have here...? A boy who can't get it up~?", Ranamon would tease Leyton, wielding a staff that shouldn't be much lighter than what he was desperately trying to lift. Letting out a cute giggle, she'd proceed to swing hers effortlessly as if to prove a point. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The separated duo of Leon and Rias was doing a little better, slowly adapting to the new conditions. The tamer held his own pretty well, successfully staving off attacks up until the fourth attacker came, a single strike that knocked him down and stopped his momentum. His opponents would cease their attack immediately, letting him back up for round two. "Do not think,...", one of the men fighting Leon would urge him, taking a moment to let him recover and take his stance once again. Yet at the same time, Rias would be faced with a similar challenge, and in turn her Fairymon sparring partner would similarly correct her fault: "...Feel!", she'd say, rushing forward with a thrust of her staff, soon swinging it around on a wide arc ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As for Haru, Gokuwmon realized she would be the first of the new students to require his full attention. Once he managed to get the girl on the right track, she'd swiftly grow stronger by just training with her fellow students. The question was how to get there. Even mounted atop the board and pole, the focus of his meditation was this human student he could feel striving to climb the pole. She was interesting... One of the most interesting students he had in a long time. Though she appeared calm at the surface, her inner spirit was a sea of passion and conflicting thoughts, something even the girl herself probably failed to acknowledge. The best he could do for her was to help her open up to those feelings more often, which would ultimately boost her fighting abilities. "Glad you could make it.", Gokumon would comment with a smile, even with his eyes closed he visibly realized Haru had reached the goal he set for her and started meditating, "Tell me about yourself... Where did you learn to fight like that?" It might seem like an odd thing to do after he'd just asked her to focus, but this was a challenge in itself. How would Haru fare? Would she be able to remain focused even as she answered the questions, or would she fall down to the lake and have to climb back up? It should let the master learn more about the student, but also help her train her concentration, killing two birds with one stone.

60% Experience until Armor Ult 121/200 Posts | It wasn't hard to center herself on the board, evenly dispersing her weight across the board kept it stable. The only concern she could have was the pole beneath her. She had no real control of it, not with her being as high up as she was. Though to say it actually did concern her would be a bit of an overstatement. If the pole moved, than it moved. If she fell, she fell. Haruhi expressed an almost apathetic sort of acceptance of things she felt she couldn't change. There was little that could be done to stop the staff from falling over, at least on Haru's end, and this mentality made it very easy to concentrate on her thoughts. They were broken only by Gukuwmon's questions. Haru opened an eye to look at the monkey for a moment, closing it and inhaling deeply before letting the air out through her little mouth. "I didn't really fight anything... I was just getting to know my stick... I did the same thing when I tried out for the hockey team... Well not the same, but something very similar. Coach said it was important to learn first how to move with the gear, then we could learn how to properly use it. I just did my best to see how it could move with me is all..." the young blonde girl stated sincerely, trying her best not to upset the delicate balance she had come to create on the top of this pole.
Vee knew this all already. He'd met the girl as she attempted to break into a hotel room, and after a little assistance from him, she opened up a bit about who she was. It's what the V-Mon feeling so guilty for a while, she had shared her past with him, but he hadn't with her until more recently. It wasn't so much that he didn't trust Haru. He just never imagined it would matter. The past was the past, after all. It was better to look toward the future, which Vee was all to ready to do.
