The difference between these three 'quests' is explained below.
MISSIONS Missions are player-created, rather than being staff-created. This is the main and defining difference between a mission and a dungeon. Missions are free-form events hosted by a single player acting as a sort of game master controlling the plot and NPCs of the event against the player characters, whom are the characters that signed up for the event. The rewards vary based on difficulty and is left up to the GM's discretion, though if staff may sometimes step in if rewards are unreasonable.
DUNGEONS Dungeons are staff-created, rather than being member-created. Dungeons are different from missions in this and the fact that they are mapped events rather than free-form ones. A Game Master controls the dungeon and sets out a number of rooms for the signing party to clear. Each of these rooms can be a number of things - a puzzle, a trap, a fight, a boss, treasure, or simply an empty room. After all rooms are cleared or after the win condition set by the GM is met, the dungeon is considered cleared and bonus rewards are gained.
MINIBOSSES Minibosses are very straight-forward. In several areas, there will be large enemies that will require several players to take down. A GM controls the enemy during this fight and attempts to take down the players fighting it. After the boss is defeated, the players gain additional rewards.
