ACT III: VENI, VIDI, VICI (Adam VS Leyton)

They had done it! The trio had won the first round of the evil hosted tournament by the skin of their teeth and after a short rest it was time for the second round against a spirit user named Leyton. During their small rest in the hotel like room they had been given the trio found out that their friend Rei had also made it to the second round and that if they defeated Leyton and Rei won her fight it would be friend against friend. This thought excited Adam and the twins so much that they felt their resolve to win strengthen. It wasn't long until the trio was called into the arena for their fight. As they traveled Adam looked worriedly at his two rookies.

"This guy is  a spirit user so it will be two against one just like last time. We won't know what the arena is gonna be till it forms though so we will have to be careful. If I think you two are in mortal danger I'm calling it quits so no arguing."

The two rookies nodded at their tamer as they entered the unchanged arena. It appeared that the three of them had gotten there first which was good because it gave them a change to mentally and physically prepare themselves before things got ready. Luckily, not wanting his feet to feel like they were gonna freeze off like last time, Adam had borrowed some closed toed shoes from the hotel. Once the trio did a few breathing exorcises Adam held up his digivice which began to glow. This caused both Remy and Renae to be engulfed in green energy orbs as they began to digivolve.

"Renamon digivolve to!...Garurumon!"

"Renamon digivolve to!..Kyubimon!"

Once the digimon finished digivolving and the orbs shattered away the arena began to transform itself because it was almost time for the fight to begin. The trio just watched in amazement as the areana they had walked into transformed into a boiling hot magma chamber with flowing magma coming from the walls. This worried Adam just a bit because it basically made one of Remy's attacks useless though it would probably help the rest of their attacks. All they had to do now was wait.

Leyton entered the arena, the crowd still with anticipation, sadly he had won via count out and couldn’t show what he could really do to the spectators and host of the tourney. This time would be different, this time he would physically and mentally decimate his opponent until they were little more than a defeated mess on the arena’s concrete floor, it didn’t matter who they were or where they come from they were his prey for the day; and figurative meat on the table.



Upon entering the Arena he noticed a little boy between two rather large digimon, twin digimon to be exact. Kyubimon and a Garurumon poor choices for a magma chamber, as they were not only individually weaker than Leyton but would have to be extra careful not to catch their tamer in the crossfire.



The white hair’s hardened eyes studied his opponent, he could take out the Garurumon by shoving him into the lava, once he’s little more than an egg the Kyubimon would be far weaker than Leyton for sure. Though there was one way he could win with far less work.



“Execute,” he muttered eyes focused on the boy, combat could be won in two ways mentally and physically, and both could be utilized when facing a tamer as if you take out the puppeteer, Leyton became engulfed in three bands of data a bright light filling the chamber, the puppets would follow.



Without a word Leyton charged at the boy between the two digimon, his lightning fast speed making him a literal blur, he cocked back his staff preparing a swing, he’d take this kid out without even giving it a second thought, there was no way the two digimon could do anything to protect their tamer other than using themselves as shields but would they be able to withstand a full power attack at the beginning of the fight? “Blitzkrieg!” he roared, in the midst of his blitz, his body became engulfed in static electricity, regardless of who he hit they’d be met with a tirade of attacks.

PASSIVE ABILITIES



champion/h-hybrid digimon are allowed one passive ability at creation.

○ Faster than lightning - Gokuwmon gets a 20% increase in speed.



ATTACKS



○ Waking Shadow - Deftly handles his staff and makes sport of the enemy with its acrobatic movements, unleashing an attack of afterimages that makes it look like the opponent is under attack by a horde of Gokuwmon. (CD:2)

○ Lightning-speed Attack - Pierces his staff into the ground and extends it to a thundercloud in the sky, then accumulates the thunder energy within himself, and rams the opponent like a bolt of thunder. (CD:1)

○ Break Cannon - Fires a red wave of energy from his mouth at his opponent. (CD:1)

○ Blitzkreig - Gokuwmon charges at his opponent full speed, unleashing a tirade of blows from its staff and legs.

This guy meant buisness that was for sure! As soon as the man known as Leyton used the digimon spirit to transform he instantly went after Adam! This was something that the twins would not allow! In a swift movement using her Kitsune's grace she quickly jumped back so Adam could jump on her back. She then with a mighty leap jumped over her foe so that her tamer would be safe. This left the much more tanky Remy to take two of the hits from their foes attacks which hurt but not nearly as much thanks to his guardian like defense and thanks to his agility avoiding one of the Attacks. Once their foes attack ended Remy just grinned.

"Bad move man, no one attacks our tamer and gets away with it!"

As Renae and Adam landed the young tamer jumped off of his digimon's back so that she could help her brother. Even though Adam wouldn't admit it during the fight however he was beginning to feel overly hot, considering where they were that was an understatement but unlike digimon, humans didn't have much environmental protection! As Renae charged at their foe Adam held up his digivice to speak into it.

"Take him down quick guys! It's kinda toasty in here!"

Both digimon just nodded as they lunged toward their opponent and spoke in unison.

"Right!"

As they lunged, Remy's mouth got filled with fire as Renae curled her body to form her dragon wheel flame dragon. This attack rushed forward as Remy's howling blaster was unleashed and the two attack met in the center to form a giant flaming tornado around their opponent to try and burn him on all sides and do major damage at least they hoped it did.

"Flaming tornado!"

As they unleashed their attack, Adam grinned as he panted and sweated more, feeling his throat beginning to dry up.

"You can do it guys!"

"Well shit, this is going to hurt," he scratched his chin,
"blitzkreig!," he roared once more charging at the flaming void, oh god this is going to burn. he charged at the center of flaming vortex as fast as he could. He grit his teeth, his fur becoming lightly singed, a side effect of charging through a mound of fire. 

After barreling through the tornado he charged the Tamer once more, flipping forward and taking in a deep breath, "Break Cannon!" he fired a red virus ridden energy wave out of his mouth and at the Tamer, he was going to kill him or at very least maim him.

This guy would just not let up! Not only was he fast but he was truly gunning for Adam probably thinking that if they took out the tamer then the battle would be won! As the man tried to intimidate the trio as he fired a wave of red energy from his mouth. The digimon probably thought that the twin digimon would lunge in front of the blast to be deleted but instead they had another plan! Remy just took off running for his tamer but instead of jumping in front of him he filled his throat with cold energy and then fired it at his tamer creating a large 15 food ice wall in front of him to take the blast so that his tamer wouldn't be hurt. In such an environment that they found themselves in the ice wall wouldn't last very long at all but luckily it would stick long enough to take such a quick blast before shattering. 

"Ice Wall!"

As Remy landed in front of his tamer, Renae ran toward their foe at a blinding speed like he himself moved. As she ran her many tail tips caught fire from blue flames that she created. Once they were all lit they quickly formed a large blue ball of flames. Once it was formed, Renae used her speed to try and get behind her opponent before launching the blue ball of flame at her foe. As it would get close it would explode into a ring of blue flames that would hopefully do some damage or at the very least stall the spirit user.

"Tengu!"

Adam watched as his digimon fought valiantly to not only protect him but to win the fight. Even though his life was in danger he couldn't help but smile because they hadn't had such a challenge in a long time. The young wild boy would be more excited but the longer they were in this arena they sicker he would become.

"Don't listen to him! Block it out and power on through!"

Perfect! He dug his staff into the ground, "extend!" he commanded as the staff grew in length, allowing him to pole vault over the wall not only avoiding the flames but sending them into the wall of ice. 

Staff still in hand, he retracted it and raised it above his head. "Come here boy!" he lunged at the Garurumon "Walking shadow!" a flurry of shadows followed Leyton as he dived at the blue dog digimon mon. 

Once he hit the ground, a series of silhouettes would surround both Adam and the Garurumon each with a dark staff in hand. Each shadow lunged forward launching a barrage of attacks at the duo;some would kick, others would attempt to jar Adam with their staves.

This guy was good! The Spirit user had managed to vault over the ice wall and over the flames and make his way to Remy and Adam and it seemed that as the man landed in front of the duo however he seemed to multipy and launch a fury of attacks. Adam did his best to dodge the attacks and for the most part was able to due to his athletic training in acrobatics. Remy did his best but since he didn't have hands he took quite a few of the blows until a realization hit him, they were all coming from the same place and there was only one scent! It was an illusion! Realizing this Remy used his teeth to bite down on the hood of his tamers coat and then with all his might flung him into the air. He then looked past the crowd of enemies toward his sister as their tamer turned his body so that he could land on his feet.

"Only one of them's real! They all do damage but only one is the real one! We need to take them out!"

As Adam landed on his feet and skidded a bit to be beside Renae he couldn't stop himself from falling onto one knee. The spirit users attacks hurt and the physical exercian wasn't helping with the heat. Adam panted a bit and looked at Renae and just nodded at her with a smile.

"You know what to do!"

Renae just nodded and using her advanced speed ran towards her many foes. As she ran her many tails once again caught fire but instead of them forming a large ball like last time each individual flame flew towards one of the many clones so that they would hopefully wipe them out. 

"Fox tail inferno!"

As his sister went to work, Remy shut his eyes and decided to let his superior senses take over for him. He ran towards their foe going as fast as he could to get out of the cluster of foes, taking blows as he did. He was using the foes unique scent to locate him without the use of his eyes because even though he was a fire breathing wolf he was still a wolf! As he got closer he lunged for his foe, his fangs frozen over as he tried to sink his fangs deep into the shoulder of the arm which was holding the staff to cause it to develop an ice burn.

"Ice fang!"

Leyton watched as the Kiyubimon destroyed one of his shadow clones silly girl was wasting her time, his clones managed to get the boy on the ground “Now you die-” the previously beaten Garurumon latched onto his shoulder. “Gah!” Leyton cried out his clones vanishing. These guys were better than he thought but he wasn’t going down that easy! He wanted to win, not only for himself but for Ringbound, for his teammates, for Kotemon! He wouldn’t back down now.



The gokuwmon’s arm began to become covered in ice rather quickly as he jerked his arm back from the Garurumon, “Idiot! Break Cannon!” he launched another virus filled blast at the blue dog Digimon, this one would have had to hit at point blank range and injured the beast more than likely, though his arm may be temporarily immobilized it was worth the point blank shot.



Leyton felt his vision begin to blur as he shot the blast at the Garurumon,not due to the pain but something inside of him snapped with the rush of pain.

This was not good! He was pinned! Adam let out a loud grunt as the champion level spirit user tackled him to the ground causing his vision to go a bit blurry from not only exhaustion but from the heat and pain that he was in. Adam couldn't help but grin however as Remy's ice fang connected completely harming the champion that was on top of him though the tamer winced when the wave of energy hit his digimon knocking him back quite a ways. Adam saw the frenzy of blood lust in the mans eyes and knew they had to act fast.

"I shouldn't be the one you're watching!"

Adam then stuck out his tongue like a taunting child in order to distract his frenzied opponent. He was okay with being used as bait because the madder this guy got the more sloppy his attacks became! As he taunted his foe he just looked past him to see Remy force himself to his feet and begin to charge their foe as his sister charged from the front.

"You know, the funny thing about people who live in jungles is, we know how to deal with monkeys!"

Adam then grinned and winked at his foe as Renae lunged at him to slam her head hard into the digimon's body hopefully knocking him back away from Adam so that he could curl up his body.

"Headbutt!"

At the same time, Remy lunged at their foe who would hopefully be knocked off balance, his teeth once again covered in ice. This time however instead of going for the foe's shoulder he was going for the neck. Due to the man being a spirit user it wouldn't kill him by a long shot but hopefully damage him enough that he would have no other choice but revert back to his human form after taking so much damage.

"Ice fang!"

If the trio was lucky, they had this fight won and if not now then it would be soon.

Leyton began to laugh at the boy, was he being arrogant? Cocky? This fight was only going to go one way, just because he was hearing a voice in his head didn’t mean he was going to lose control. He watched as the two digimon came at him in unison, idiots! “Lightning speed attack!” he roared, charging at the boy at blinding speeds body covered in electricity, and dodging the united attacks.

The child was done for, his partners would without a doubt careen into each other leaving little Adam alone to suffer a gruesome attack. Jungle boy's Digimon were in mid attack after all,
they fell for the bait and attack in union just like the white hair wanted after all and if there's one thing Leyton knew  momentum was a hell of a thing once it has you it has you!


The voice in his head began to ring the words KILL HIM over and over, but Leyton blocked them out focused on the jungle boy alone, “You know what they say about us monkeys, we’ll tear your face off!” he cocked his staff back gripping it as tightly as he could muster he put his entire body into one wild swing.

It was crunch time! Adam had managed to get back to his feet by curling his body and rolling back onto his feet. As he rolled he felt the almost unbearable  heat as the hot rocks of the ground below him almost burned through his coat and catching it on fire. As his two digimon slammed into one another they knocked themselves to their knees and looked rather dazed which meant that for the moment Adam was on his own. As his foe gathered electricity onto his staff, Adam quickly removed his coat and tossed it towards the mans staff and his face to hopefully blind him. Adam had had that coat since he was a child but in order to save his own life he had to forsake his most prized possession. Despite trying to blind his foe, the attack landed causing the young tamer and extreme amount of pain but also left their foe quite open

"Ahhh!!"

Adam then groaned as both Remy and Renae ran rushed for their foe as he was the distraction, spreading apart as they ran to take each side of their foe. As they ran they saw that their tamers most prized possession was being used as a sacrifice and a distraction. It would pain them to torch it but if it meant keeping them alive along with their tamer it was worth it. As they charged their foe, Remy started off by firing his blue flames from his mouth.

"Howling blaster!"

As her brother attacked, Renae rushed their foe at top speed and jumped into the air and curled her body igniting it in blue flame and launching it at their foe in the shape of a large blue flame dragon which would hopefully help engulf their foe to end the fight.

"Dragon Wheel!"

Gokuwmon felt his opponent get hit by the attack, though blinded he could tell that this human was apparently extremely durable. The little boy threw his coat over the gokuwmon’s eyes, a distraction? How cute, he felt the two Digimon rush after him another dual attack? Again Idiots!



Leyton dug his staff into the ground as fast as he could, “extend!” the pole extended and took monkey digimon into air. Though he escaped his staff would bare the attacks, cracking in half as the two digimon’s techniques vaporized it. Leyton fell to the ground a few feet away from the boy and took the jacket off of his face.”You break my staff…” he tore the jacket in half “I break you.”. And tore the child’s jacket in half. “Break cannon!” he fired a full powered blast , not at Adam but his partners more specifically the Garurumon. He didn’t need the attack to hit, but if he hit the lava pit beside the two he could delete them both in one shot.


Losing his staff was hurt his offense badly but he could still use all of his attacks after all his fist were just as strong.

As their foe sacrificed his staff in order to jump over their attack,Adam couldn't stop his body from spasming. This guy was beginning to get on Adam's last nerve! As he finally got his body under his control he saw his foe launch another Break cannon attack at his partners. Adam tried to run after his partners but his legs were still to tense. Luckily however both Remy and Renae were on top of things. Seeing that her brother was about to be attacked, Renae used her superior speed to make it to him and use her body to slam into him so that he was moved out of the way. This however left her the target as the attack hit her lower half causing her to fall to the ground. Being as tough as she was however, the young digimon tried to get right back up.

Seeing his sister get hurt caused Remy to snarl and charge at their foe. As he did,Adam finally got control of his legs and quickly ran over to renae who was doing her best to stand back up. To help his digimon, Adam knelt down under her burning his legs a bit and used all of his strength to help her stand back up.

"Come on Renae! You got this! We got this! We have this guy on the ropes!"

Seeing her tamers determination and unwillingness to give up,Renae forced herself onto her feet and then nodded at her tamer with a growl. She then ran at her brother who was charging forward like a train still full of steam. As her brother ran, Renae had her tails catch fire once more and then launched all 9 of the flames past her brother and toward their foe, instead of having them combine into an explosion however she had the flames try and circle him so that hopefully he would have no means of escape this time.

"Fox tail inferno!"

As his sister went to work, Remy filled his throat with blue flames once more and then launched them out of his mouth so that their monkey brained foe would be attacked on all fronts and unlike last time, he had no staff to save him.

"Howling blaster!"

So they wanted to play the speed game? FINE Leyton figured they can ALL play the speed game. Apparently little Adam didn't understand fire 101, if you're fast enough to run through it you're golden. 

Leyton charged at the flames once more, again pushing air through the flames with his speed escaping the ring of fire though this time he was burned far more severely just as the Garurumon's attack hit the ring. 

"You're just... too...slow.." he trailed off looking at the two Digimon and back at the youngster. "Lightning speed attack!" he charged at the boy once more, body again becoming relative to a lightning bolt, "You wanna play speed! You won't dodge this!" the gokuwmon blitzed for the kid again body filled with a higher voltage of electricity, he clenched his fist and cocked it back "You aren't getting your cinderella ending!" even if Kyubimon made it he couldn't get on her back fast enough and there was no way she could tank this attack and not come out badly hurt.

He threw a punch at the boy, not aiming for his head of course but for his chest, if he could tag him once with a good bolt of electricity that'd be ball game. His legs were slowed, obviously he couldn't pull another magic trick. 

As for Leyton his body was aching all over, fur singed, muscles tensed, he would die before he lost this fight.

Damn it! This wasn't good! The trio was on their last legs! As the man ran through the flames once more and charged up another lightning attack, Adam thought he was done for and was ready to meet his maker until he saw a big yellow blur cut across his vision. Having been running while launching her attack, Renae had been close enough to her tamer to use her body as a shield so that he wouldn't die. This shocked not only Adam but Remy as well as Renae's legs finally gave out under the strain of the damage that she had taken. She had enough energy to stay in champion form and possibly get up once more but it was clear that she was close to passing out. Seeing his beloved digimon in such pain began to push Adam past his limits and boundries. Adam just snarled at their foe as Renae kept trying to stand so that she could keep fighting for her tamer.

"You're a rabid monster and you need to be put down! I won't forgive you for this!"

Adam then watched in shock as by some miracle Renae forced herself to her feet in front of him in order to protect him but it was clear that after one final attack from her she would most likely revert to rookie level. She dug her paws into the ground once more and snarled at her foe. She then managed to make her tails catch fire once more as she made the flames once again surround her foe so that he couldn't escape.

"Fox tail inferno!"

In all honesty this last ditch move was meant to do two things. It was meant as a chance for Adam to gain some distance away from his attacker and as a distraction to buy her brother time. As she finished launching the attack, having put all of her remaining champion energy into the attack Renae reverted to her rookie level. As the attack commenced however, Remy rushed his foe, teeth freezing over. As he got close he lunged at the  man and did his very best to sink his teeth into the mans throat, for the very first time going for a kill instead of a knock out. If he managed to land the blow he would dig his claws into the man and not stop pulling at his throat until he was dead. It was clear that it was him or them. As Remy attacked, Adam grabbed Renae with all of his power and did his best to pull her to safety.

"You aren't dying on me."

As Adam felt the murderous intent in Remy's actions,Adam quickly yelled into his digivice.

"Don't kill him! Just power him down!"

Hearing this mid attack, Remy changed his game plan and decided not to go for a fatal wound but just enough to win the fight.
