Tankmon had neared the area once he had been given a report. Apparently their target had managed to toss one of his troopers outside of the window before the poor bastard imploded. And the other had went MIA, though the Champion Digimon assumed it had been dispatched as well.
"Don't just guard the entrance! Surround the building! Point your guns at windows and all of the doors! No one gets out 'till we get this bastard."
The troop of Digimon soon slipped free from their original positions once the orders had successfully reached them, clinging to the shadows and closely surrounding the building.

"Old grudges hmm?" Angeli would seem to quietly mumble as she heard from what sounded outside like individuals rushing about, seemingly trying to surround the building. Honestly, she wasn't really concerned with the reason as to why these thugs were trying to kill Hyde at this point, all she knew was that it was going to end up being SOMEONE's job to clear this mess. And honestly, earning a few brownie points in Shin-Sekai's books never hurt. "Fair enough. If they intend to kill us, they best be prepared to die themselves." She'd say with a confident look, glaring back outside. There were definitely many ideas they could try... but perhaps not all of them were viable. They were not sure who or what was outside, nor how many; so rushing through may have been a bit dangerous currently. As Angeli idly thought about this, she noticed something particularly interesting about the front doors, something that could be taken advantage of. "Hmm... those doors seems to be made of glass." The Chromiamon ended up getting a devilish idea one that seemed fool-proof. Swiftly, the Rookie level's form became covered in light and data, her form becoming that of her Zirconiamon form, gems embedded around her glistening beautifully. "Dears, it is time for a science lesson. Have you ever heard of the concept of diffraction?" The Champion level would say with an almost smug look on her face. "Light is a remarkable thing for it is a wave... and like all waves, when it encounters an obstacle that it can still pass through... it spreads out." She'd say as she lifted a front hand towards the doors. "Glimmer Ray."The crown that adorned the beast Digimon's head glew brightly, along with the amethysts that were embedded in the wool around her neck, sending small beams of light that converged into a much larger one before being fired at breakneck speeds at the glass window. Perhaps not the normal use of the attack, but physics deemed it nonetheless effective, as just like a regular beam of light, the one fired from the Champion widened into a cone as it went through the glass dooring, blasting anything that happened to get in the way before dispersing harmlessly. Ah the glory of science! How useful you are! Hopefully with that little display, anybody outside would be either damaged or incapacitated, so they could then rush outside. Without a moment's hesitation, the Zirconiamon dashed towards the doors, intending to burst through.

[attr="class","requiemdestroy"] "Ha..." Alexiel simply sighed and shook his head. Well, he probably should have guessed that. But, Hyde was right, it was best to figure a way out of this for now. Personally, he favoured a more...quieter and less flashy escape, but the other digimon's method worked as well. Can't say he approved of her use of terms, but oh well. It worked, and at the moment, that was all that mattered.
He'd like to have a debate with her on the topic later, though, it'd be nice to see if his teachers had gotten it wrong or there was simply a mix up somewhere along the line. Then again, this was the Digital World...things didn't exactly comply to the laws of Earth. ...Eh, how troublesome.
Either way, he just didn't agree with her running out immediately after that attack, simply because they couldn't be sure how many of Hyde's pursuers were injured, or well, dead. If her attack wasn't successful in incapacitating the ones directly within range of attack them... it wasn't like he cared for her, at least not yet, but it was helpful to have another person on their side.
After all, if she was down, all that was left were two rookie-locked twins, two humans who probably wouldn't be able to defend themselves (one was, after all, quite badly injured, and the other just simply disliked fighting and didn't have the means to protect himself) and the digimon of said injured man, who was likely the only digimon capable of doing any real damage besides the nameless bunny-like digimon. Needless to say, they couldn't lose the carbuncle.
"I'll follow her out." Vesper muttered as he flew to catch up with the white-and purple digimon, leaving Alexiel's side. If anyone tried to attack him, he'd simply just use wind blade to knock them away. He highly doubted he'd needed to do much, but he couldn't be sure till he saw who he was facing. Now all that was left was for Hyde's little group of four - dear oh dear, Leila really didn't want to leave his side, hm? - to get on out so they could get out of the 'danger zone' and get Hyde to safety. That was the goal after all.

Well...this was proving much easier than Hyde had anticipated. The cheesecake baring digimon completely blasted the outside of the hospital. If there were any commandramon waiting for him outside, there weren't now, at least for the time being. With one of the twin Patamons and their purple and white friend heading out to take point, It left Hyde, his rather effeminate helper, and their digimon to take up the rear. "Keep an eye out," Hyde murmured as they headed through the doors, "No doubt there's more of those bastards out there. And if their boss is around, well, let's just say we don't want to be out in the open."Gripping his datagun tightly, Hyde looked around as they stepped out into the street. If any Commandramon came into view, he was opening fire. His gun could at least do damage against those guys. The Commandramon were quick to do so, having lost the two whom had taken point at the door. It was a pitiful loss, especially since the slain Rookie's likely hadn't seen it coming.
"This ain't good."
A single Commandramon whom was situated a fair distance from the area where the chaos was taking place reported to Tankmon by radio who spat out a series of colorful words in response.
"Suppress them!"
After several had been shot or sliced into naught more than data those whom had remained were forced to distance themselves, raising their weapons to make use of their M16 Assassin.

With brutal, but truly beautiful effect; her attack had vaporized the two Rookie levels who had been guarding the doors outside. Laughter could not help but escape the Champion level's mouth as she left the cover that their group had been at, she marching proudly through the doors; not minding if Hyde or the man with the twin mammal Digimon followed close behind. Their chances at survival would be much higher if they also had a hand in killing off these assassins... plus besides, she didn't mind sharing some of their data after this was over and done with. Without a bit of hesitation, the Zirconiamon proceeded to gluttonously devour what data was left of the poor fools who had decided to aid this so-called "operation". At this point, this operation has turned into a slaughter of pigs. The feeling of for once being the one who had power was euphoric to Angeli; and the fact that she still had so much to gain... it practically made her shiver with excitement. Seeing now a few more Commandramon, all with their weapons cocked at her, she let out a truly terrifying laugh. "Oh lovely... A captive audience. No running now ~ A girl can't have their meals running away now, can she? " She'd say, sporting a wicked smile. "Shatter."In a instance, the Zirconiamon shot out several sharp crystalline daggers from the palm of one front limbs, they aimed directly at one of the opposing Commandramon's heart. Should they land their marks, the Rookie level will find the sharp gemstones embedded painfully into his chest. As if puppeteering the stones as if connected to her fingers by strings, Angeli thrusted her hand forward to her; painfully ripping the stones clean out.

[attr="class","requiemdestroy"] Seeing Hyde's datagun, Alexiel debated getting one himself. He wouldn't need to get up close and personal, but he'd still be able to help with the battles they got in, rather than just standing on the sidelines. Only being able to shout out orders was getting to him. All he could do was watch and feel helpless, things he didn't like to do. It just...irked him to be so useless.
"Assault rifles? Bleeeh, annoying little digimon!" Leila hissed, fluttering about agitatedly. The commandramons were really getting on her nerves, and she just wanted to get it over and done with. Couldn't they see the man was injured? He didn't need them bothering him!
Taking in a deep breath, she gathered energy in her mouth, before releasing it at the general direction of the remaining commandramons. She was careful to avoid the one the strange digimon had her crystal in, however. Didn't want to hurt an ally. "Brother! Wind, wind!" She excitedly shouted, as she resumed her flutter around the two humans, ignoring the stare she received from her tamer and brother.
At this, Vesper sighed, simply shaking his head before turning back to their attackers. "All right, all right..." He muttered, a tone of boredom in his voice. Still, he followed his sister's orders, and a spin later, blades of winds flew yet again from the Tsukaimon, heading towards the commandramon his sister had targeted.

Well, at least they were outside now, but now they were out in the open with a bunch of Commandramon ready to try and put a bullet into Hyde. And to be honest, the guy was just getting sick of it. After being helped around like some damn cripple (which he kind of was, but that was beside the point), Hyde as ready to do some fighting of his own. Sable seemed to understand this as well, as she moved to put herself between Hyde and the Commandramon, bringing her shield up. It wouldn't do that much good, considering Hyde was significantly taller than her, but it was the thought that counted.
Being held up by the white haired boy, Hyde brought his arm holding the datagun up. Taking aim at the attacking Commandramon (thankfully, his remaining eye was undamaged), he began opening fire. The gun should be able to inflict some damage upon them. He tried to avoid any of the Commandramon the others were attacking. No sense in stealing people's kills. "Sable!" he yelled out as he fired, "If you see their boss coming, let me know, got it?" "Got it!" she yelled out in response.

[googlefont=Quicksand] DOWN WITH THE SICKNESS  Witnessing the slaughter of one's comrades was a disheartening thing, truly. For the very core was plucked from one and another vanquished by a powerful ray composed of energy.
"This is going to -!"
One Commandramon suddenly grimaced, Hyde's aim truly impeccable as he managed to finish off the already weakened soldier. Once the Digimon had slumped and scattered into data the remaining two visibly panicked, their moral having been utterly ruined and the dream of victory gone. They managed to flee just far enough so to obtain some form of cover behind a few buildings. The one with the radio called in the casualties and the Tankmon barked angrily.
"I'll be down soon! Keep 'em busy 'till then."
"How?"
"Figure it out."
Clutching at his weapon the soldier swallowed thickly, promptly plucked a grenade from his vest and urged his companion to do the same.
"We'll toss while they're pushing forward."
"R-Right. One... two..."
While maintaining cover they exposed their limbs for a moment to toss the item, returning, immediately, to cover afterward.

Carnage. Complete carnage. In a way, Angeli hoped slightly that her higher-ups were watching her. Shin Sekai appreciated individuals who had the raw guts and determination to not be afraid to get their hands dirty... and ripping out the very Digicore of that poor Commandramon certainly qualified. Angeli practically was chortling as she held the still fresh Digicore of the deleted Commandramon. She had to admit, she impressed herself sometimes! A Digicore was more likely to be destroyed from brute force when deleting a Digimon, yet she managed to yank the thing clean out with the most beautiful finesse. She had been already beginning to gorge herself today; but hey... she's in a way been working out! A lil' treat here and there doesn't hurt from time to time. The Zirconiamon smirked maliciously as she opened her mouth, dropping the Digicore right inside; not even bothering to swallow. Technically, it was no different to just absorbing the data; but it certainly was more delicious... However, her gluttonous habits did end up betraying her; she becoming too distracted from greedily consuming data to have noticed that there were still Commandramon around. Two explosions took the Zirconiamon by surprise, she jolting from the shock. A small part of the Champion level's skin was seared, and while she was mostly fine... these grunts have made a grave mistake. Wildly, the Champion level whipped her head towards where the cowards were hiding, her pupils shrinking into pricks. "You... you dare attempt to continue to resist? To ruin my perfect coating?!" The Champion level would mutter angrily; she practically seething. In a instance, the carbuncle took a long leap; right over the cover that the two Rookies had been attempting to use. Furiously, the Champion level thrusted both of her hands at two of the Rookie levels' necks; attempting to pin them to the ground and immobilize them. What happens next would not be pretty if they did not react quick enough.

Well, this seemed to be going easier than Hyde had expected. The Commandramon were getting the floor wiped with them, particularly by the carbuncle digimon who had come in bringing him cheesecake. Of course, it wouldn't remain this easy for long, especially when Hyde felt the ground shake. Sable glanced over, jumping back in surprise. "Boss! Watch out!" Sable suddenly tackled Hyde to the ground as there was a loud 'boom' and a tank shell shot past where Hyde had once been standing. As the shell crashed into a distant building, Hyde glanced over to see the attacker. "Tankmon..."The mechanical digimon gave a cold laugh as he rolled up, stopping some distance away. "Well well, if it isn't the little one eyed shit who cost be victory all those years ago. You look terrible." Hyde growled as he painfully pushed himself to his feet. "Victory you say? If you weren't stupid enough to allow yourself to get distracted, the twelve wouldn't have kicked your little ass. Then again, considering you somehow managed to avoid getting sealed up, guess you weren't really that big of a deal to them anyway."The tankmon growled in anger. "You have no idea how long I've waited for this day. Having to hide from those Olympians all because of you! I'm going to enjoy running you down!" Hyde rolled his eyes. This guy really had a big opinion of himself. "Boss."Hyde glanced down at his partner. "You up for it?" Sable nodded, and Hyde's digivice began to glow. Soon, standing beside him as Knight Chessmon. "Get on my back boss. We'll take care of this." Hyde nodded and with a little difficult, climbed onto Sable's back. The Tankmon laughed. "Bring it on! Let's see how you do without your little white friend helping you!" Hyde growled as he could hear Tankmon's internal engines firing up. He could feel Sable's own anger as well. He was going to regret bringing up Weiss. "Sable, let's wreck this pile of scrap!"Sable nodded, and with a loud cry, charged towards Tankmon, just as the mechanical monstrosity began to charge towards her. Angeli |

Anger was all that Tankmon could think of as he finally drove into scene. All of his troops, turned either into stray wisps of data or about to be brutally slaughtered. Every LAST one of these fools were incompetent. He had hoped that at least ONE of these pansies was competent... but guess not.
Guess you really could only trust a man for a man's job.
The Champion level glared at Hyde and Sable, grinding his teeth furiously. Why could these clowns just DIE already?! Just one bullet in that man's brain; it was all he could ask for! "A LOT of money is on your head ya canadian cyclops! Do you even know HOW much I've spent trying to send you to hell?!" The cyborg would angrily yell; aiming his face towards the centaur-like Digimon. In one loud explosion, Tankmon fired out a missile.
For the two remaining Commandramon, neither Rookie had quite expected for the Zirconiamon to immediately turn on them, she managing to pin the two on the wall they had been using as cover. Gasping for air; both of the small soldier dragons were unable to keep a grip on their weapons; dropping the assault rifles on the ground as they felt their wind pipes being strangled.
Realizing that they were about to die, one managed to get a free hand out; reaching for a D C D Bomb. He hoped to try and fidget it just enough to get the fuse pulled; but he was quickly losing conciousness as he felt the life strangled right out of him. Still, better to take someone out than die futilely.

Angeli glared at the two Rookie levels she had pinned to the ground; murderous intent in her eyes. She was no fool and wished to not be treated as such, so seeing one of the Commandramons try a last-ditch attempt attack on her was in her eyes was rebellion... and like any rebellion; it needed to be quashed. The Champion level firing a blast of light point-blank in the Rookie level's face was a sure-fire way to end that abruptly. With that handled; her attacker dispersed into data; the grenade dropping on the ground intact. The Zirconiamon kept a limb pinned down on the remaining Commandramon as she absorbed the other Commandramon's data, he appropriately enough scared out of his mind It was then that a devilish thought sparked in the mad carbuncle's mind as she stared down below at the now harmless soldier. She grinned malevolently as she reached towards his companion's dropped grenade. Prying open the remaining Commandramon's mouth wide open, he struggling to close it; she with her idle hand pulling the pin and shoving it deep into the Rookie's throat. With her work done, she cackled as she leaped away; ready to see her work in all it's glory.

One of the good things about charging an opponent head on. It made it easier to see if they had any attacks coming at you, like, for example, the Hyper Cannon that Tankmon was firing at them as they charged. "Move!" Sable didn't need to be told twice as she lept over the massive tank shell, the heavy missile shooting underneath them. Landing gracefuly, the two continued to charge towards Tankmon. Hyde glanced over his shoulder, watching as the shell suddenly turned in the air, heading towards them. "Homing shell! Evasive maneuvers!" Salbe glanced over her shoulder, pulling away from Tankmon to try and avoid the shell. She lept up towards a building, catching herself on the wall and bouncing away, just as the shell rocketed into the building with a thunderous explosion. The force even propelled them a bit further in the air as the Knight Chessmon twisted her body, aiming to fall straight towards the Tankmon. "Eat this! GALLOP WHOLE!"GALLOP WHOLE: Sable leaps into the air, coming down with enough force to create a crater with a radius of 5 meters. Anyone caught in this radius (even if the main attack misses them) is stunned for one post and lose any buffs currently applied (passive based buffs are removed for one post. [Cooldown 3 posts] |

Tankmon managed to find a bit of perverse joy out of taunting the KnightChessmon, wishing to make this last fight of her's as painful as possible, chuckling maniacally as he finished his previous attack's clip. He smirked slightly as he noticed her toss a lance in the sky, knowing full well that it was aimed towards him. "Maggots!" He would yell, firing another burst of bullets at the lance as it descended, knocking the weapon harmlessly off course. With that handled, he strafed towards the galloping horse, hoping to catch her off guard. "I'll screw that neck of yours clean off!" He'd yell, lunging towards Sable with one of his hands, hoping to slug her with explosive force.
For Mekanorimon, the machine Digimon for the most part was unconcerned that it's giant punch was evaded; only autonomously whirring in annoyance as it lifts its metallic fist up. A crater was left where it Gyro Break attack missed; a testament to it's strength. However, its size rendered it slow and immobile; making it an easy target for when the Dark Champion's attack hit it square, bathing it in flame.
While damage was definitely done, Mekanorimon itself could not feel pain. A good thing in a way considering it was now wading in flame. Unfazed, it scanned its target menacingly; the lens on it's torso glowing brightly before sending a destructive ray of heat at the Chaigidemon, melting a clean line across the ground as it sped forward.
 Mekanorimon was damaged by Hell Cycle and is wading through the flames. Mekanorimon attacked with Twinkle Beam! [Mekanorimon] [Level: Champion] [Attribute: Virus] Gyro Break on Cooldown for 1 Post [Passives] [Metal Behemoth] - Mekanorimon is a huge behemoth with a heavy amount of offense and defense! (Cooldown: 1 Post) [Meka Bomb] - Leaps into the air, attempting trush enemies with it's incredible weight. On landing, it additionally creates a shockwave for 10 meters; tripping up Champion levels or lower while stunning Champion levels or lower within 5 meters. (Cooldown: 3 Posts) [Rubble Wrecker] - Mekanorimon uses its incredible strength and claws to rip out a large chunk of the earth around him; tossing it at enemies. Can also be used with boulders and other heavy or stationary objects. Deals 50% extra damage.
