Running from it all my lifetime
The jungle was thick.
Mayumi never thought she would find herself in such a place- the rainforests of earth always seemed so dangerous and terrifying. The unknown of the dungeon was only rivaled by the mass oceans, full of fearsome animals that could kill a human before they even knew what was going on. Deadly, poisonous amphibians one wouldn't even see coming, jungle cats with gigantic fangs, and maneating snakes inhabited those kinds of habitats- and those examples were just out of the creatures humans had discovered.
Mayu shivered at the thought, but pressed on. The Commandramon's eyes wide and open, and her spirit filtered all she needed to know about her environment, giving her the best possible advice- there was a Veggiemon hiding underground nearby, for example, given away by the leaflike crest sticking up out of the ground. Asleep, Champion level- no danger if undisturbed. Steer clear of that plant, it's not a Digimon but if given the chance it would devour all who passed by. Should the Pixel Camo fade, immediately find a place to rest and recharge it.
She was ever so grateful for the nature of her spirit.
But as Command informed her, a Commandramon form wouldn't be enough to sustain her, should a fight be unavoidable. So she hunted for something today, moving as quickly and quietly as she could through the brush. Something called a Digimental, which was clearly explained to her- essentially, it allowed for fraction Digivolution.
What would it look like? Her spirit couldn't tell her that.
But it could tell her that it was dead ahead.
What she found was... it looked like an old, 90's style computer, overgrown with plants. Brow furrowed, she pushed the attempted power button, but received no response. 'This is it?' Command continued to flash on the screen. This was it, for sure. After quickly checking over her shoulder, Mayu pressed the power button again, then held it down. Repeated those steps.
She jumped and nearly squeaked when the screen flickered- it was so dull that she had to strain her eyes to see the text. So, what she needed was in this computer.
Despite her reluctance, Mayu deactivated her Digital form. Commandramon's fingers were too clumsy to properly handle the computer, but she felt naked and exposed without the protection of command. Swallowing, she began to type quickly, squinting and straining her hands as much as she could, as the sounds of the jungle screamed around her.
Permission denied.

The green letters that appeared on screen brought relief for Mayu, who scrambled for her Digivice to scan the code that appeared onscreen. It took a moment to unscramble the computerized text, but it soon revealed itself, in the form of pixelated text and the graphic of a dark green "egg":
CAUTION
She hesitated just for a moment before she heard something massive start to crash through the undergrowth. Whatever it was, it was breaking trees, and stomping around with as much noise as possible. Mayu's heart pounded, and quickly, she executed her transformation.
CRACK!
That one wasn't the trees, it was her limbs. They sorted and elongated themselves into a slightly different fashion- thankfully not drastically different, as it seemed her new form's body was humanlike- and at the same time seemed to grow taller, more armored, heavier. But there wasn't time to take in her new Stingmon body. That thing was getting closer, and she had to hide, now.

Command guided the process of activating the move, and when Mayu looked next, she appeared to be almost entirely invisible. And just in time- the beast that wandered by appeared to be a dinosaur Digimon- Tyrannomon, Command informed her. If one of her forms wasn't a saurian herself, Mayu would have lost her breath at the sight of it. "Where areee ya? I can smellll ya..." Champion level, typically of the fire element. Slow, but vicious and powerful. Constantly looking for something to eat.
The girl stayed entirely still. The sound of her heartbeat pounded in her ears as the massive creature wandered around in front of her, clearly on the hunt. Finally, still sniffing in confusion, the red beast appeared to decide to move on, laughing lowly. "I'll getcha..."

Gladly. Pushing off from the ground, the girl took to the air, though clumsily, shooting up and above the jungle, faltering greatly in her first attempts to fly straight.
