The events that happened that day were strange, but slowly became normal for Zachary. He had become a Digimon Tamer and was partnered to Panthermon, a digimon Zachary originally designed. And now he began the major steps of being a Digimon Tamer.
Step 1. Hide the digimon from the parents
Once things had calmed down in the kitchen and his parents were busy with work or the television, Zachary snuck back to the kitchen to get some food. Since Zachary didn't eat as much, he had plenty of leftovers from that night's meal. Gathering it, and a few extra things from the fridge, he hid it quickly behind him and quietly walked back to his room-- while his parents were not looking. He kept his cool as best as he could, but parents always could tell when their kids were stressed.
He reached his door and soon went inside. He sighed as he entered it, holding the variety of food. There on his bed waiting patiently, was Panthermon. The big black jungle cat of a digimon laid there, his chin on top of his paws crossed against one another. He didn't even flinch as Zachary entered. As he got into the room, he took out the plate of food for his new digimon partner. "Here you go. I hope you like chicken?" Zachary said as he put the plate down on the bed, carefully so he wouldn't ruin his quilt.
Panthermon opened his eyes to look at the food. He looked at it curiously, then turned to Zachary. "You didn't have to do this for me. I can find my own--"
"Don't be silly," Zachary interrupted the cat. "I'm happy to share what I can. "
The smile Zachary had was hard to say no to, as the Panther observed the offering his new human companion gave him. After a sniff at the food, the large cat took a bite of it. It was boneless chicken breast with herbs and spices. Tasting it, a yummy 'hum' sound escaped the cat. He continued to take small bites, enjoying the meal.
Finishing the share he had on his plate, he gulped down what was left. "Thank you. That was quite tasty," the panther replied, licking his lips.
Zachary smiled as he sat down in his chair. "No problem. I may not be able to sneak food all the time though," Zachary said.
"It's fine. If I must I can find some other source, but I appreciate it," Panthermon replied and laid down on the bed once more.
FOr a moment there was a calm silence between them as Panthermon laid there, and Zachary looked at him. He was still reeling from the fact he now had a digimon partner.
