A lazy drive (Closed)

Racing down the streets at full speed Edward smiled as he drove past red lights and cutting off anyone that was in his way. He didn't have a goal in mind in this new city, he just wanted to go faster than he had been driving in Tokyo. However his actions soon caught the attention of the local authorities. With them behind him he smiled as he drove right into the side of a store with a large smart TV in front of it. As the glass shattered from his bike impacting he vanished from the sight of the cops into the digital world. However he wasn't going to spend time in the digital world right now. Just as he entered the digital world he exited as soon as he could.

Exiting the digital world he stopped his bike. He was in a new part of New York that he didn't know very well. However he didn't stop because of his new surroundings. No he stopped as his exit seemed to land him right in front of someone. His bike stood there resting on the sidewalk as he looked at the person before him. He smiled softly at them before speaking. “So wanna go for a ride?” He patted the back seat of his bike wondering what this person would say or do from seeing someone exit out of a TV.

Katelyn watched through passive, unphased eyes. She was familiar with the digital world herself, being a spirit wielder - that wasn't exactly something she broadcasted, though. Then, the stranger asked her a question - wanna go for a ride? Well....why would she? That's stupid. "Not particularly. You might have some luck at the brothel down the road though. More than enough girls. They're all pretty nice too; can't say they're my style though." She said, before continuing down the road - looking through him and not at him, before staring straight ahead.

He kept the smile he had across his face when she calmly said no. He didn't expect to meet someone else who knew about the digital world here in New York. How did he know that she had knowable of the digital world? It was simple, she didn't react to him literally jumping out of a TV before her. He had to chuckle softly at her saying that he should go to the brothel. “Why would I do that when I found a beautiful flower who I can talk to about the digital world. ” Still sitting on the bike he waited for her to say something back to him.

She disregarded the note about her appearance. "I prefer Pokemon, thanks." Kat said, looking at his bike. She did wonder who he was running from, but that was none of her business. Katelyn figured this stranger wasn't about to let her go, so she didn't continue on her path. He had a bike, he could outrun her anyway. "Other than geeking about the digital world, is there anything you want from me?" Katelyn asked bluntly. She preferred to get to the point.

He kept his eyes on her as she stopped walking away from him and asked him what he wanted. “Well for starters I want information, I'm a bit new to this digital world thing so how about this I treat you to coffee and a few pastries and you give me some information.” For once he was being honest about something. He only became a spirit tamer less than a few weeks ago. “So how about it? Besides someone as pretty as you shouldn't be walking alone. You never know what kind of dangerous person you could run into.” He shifted himself on his bike allowing her to see that on his belt he was carrying around his katana.

With the flash of his weapon, she didn't really have much of a choice. This did peak her anxiety, but she had a knack for keeping herself looking smooth; calm, cool, and collected. Nothing really broke past the surface. "I don't have any information for you." She responded sternly now. "I don't know much about it myself." She responded once more; she was being honest. She wouldn't be able to provide him with any useful information. She wasn't sure how this was going to end. "I can walk myself home, thanks." Kat stated curtly, "I'm just around the corner. I'll be on my way." She probably shouldn't have stated that she lived so close. Katelyn wasn't thinking clearly enough to suppress that though - she was already working not to show him any sign of fear. At least that much was working.

With a coy smile across his face he stopped his bike and slowly stepped off of it. He took a small step forward towards her keeping a hand on the hilt of his blade. “Oh is that so? Are you positive that you don't know anything about the digital world I could find useful?” Now he stood right in front of her, standing over her. “Maybe we could have some coffee anyways, you never know what I could find interesting that you might know.” Her having telling him that she lived so close was a mistake, something that he would take note of for later on knowing that eventually he might need to use her for something down the road.

Kat knew how this went, and she knew how it was going to go. She was reluctant, but the only thing she could do was oblige. "Why would I hide what I know from you?" She asked rhetorically, making her way to the bike, as if to prove a point in her truth. "I don't care what happens either way." She said, hopping onto the back seat. "Are you coming or not?" Katelyn got as comfortable as she could - in truth, she was afraid of what could happen to her, but there was something behind the fear that told her it didn't matter. "What is your name?" The best way to reverse the situation is to be the one to start asking the questions.

He simply watched as she sat down on his bike. With a shrug he sat down on the bike himself and started it back up. “The name's Edward, hold on tight to me or you might fall off.” He waited for her to hold on before taking off. He started off slowly before picking up the pace heading back to a part of New York that he knew where there was a little cafe that he had enjoyed a few days before hand. As he drove he spoke to her taking his attention off of the road moving at high speeds to look at his passenger "So what's the name of the cutie holding onto me?”

Katelyn hung on, not responding to his initial note - she figured, what was she supposed to say, nice name? Flirt back? Not her style; Nor did she particularly enjoy this new found stranger. He was kind of subliminally threatening her from the get-go. She watched the city rush by in the motorcycles speed, then perked as he asked her for her name. She had been devising a fake name for herself, ever since she asked for his. She was sure he would ask for her name; She needed to throw him off. "Klara." She responded smoothly. A big perk of hers was that she was an excellent liar. "What brings you here?" She needed to erase any and all tension in the air - any suspicion.

That's a cute name.” His attention was brought back to the road after hearing her name. “Ehh I came here to drive and have some fun, why else would someone come to New York.” This was the truth, but he also came here to cause a bit of mayhem in the gangs of New York. It wasn't long before the cops that he had tried to outrun before saw his bikes and the lights came back on. “Looks like they found me again. So should I outrun them or.....” He didn't say anything else as he waited to see what she would say or do to being chased by the cops.

Katelyn didn't look back at them - she wasn't about to have her face recognized and become an accomplice. "I know where we can go. I've had to get out of some sticky situations myself." She spoke, nodding to him. He wasn't about to bring her down with him. "Cut down this alley at the next light, then follow the path and we should be able to get away." She directed, grabbing her hair that was now flying as he accelerated speed. Kat clenched the sides of the motorcycle with her knees, tying her hair up before latching onto him like a burr once more.

He raised his eyebrow a bit after hearing what she said to him. So she wasn't a goody goody like he thought, this made things much more interesting. He started to slow down his bike a bit allowing the officers to get closer to him. “So are you positive you don't know anything?” He smiled coyly as the parole cars started to gain some ground on him. “It would be a shame to see such a pretty face go to jail. I mean I don't mind, but maybe you might know something that could keep me from getting caught.” This was all a test, he wanted to see if in a situation like this if she would fold or if she had been telling the truth before.

The sound of the siren's roared and echoed, gaining frequency as they came closer. They were distant before, and now they were blisteringly loud. "I don't know anything at all. I told you how we can get out of this situation, but I have no information about the digital world." Katelyn said, keeping her voice level. She wasn't about to sound desperate for this guy. Katelyn hid her face further, not wanting any on-lookers to see her facial features either; the last thing she wanted was to make it on some kind of wanted list. That kind of trouble in her life would be tedious.

It seemed as if she was telling the truth, that or she was bolder than he gave her credit for. Either way he wasn't about to get caught himself by the cops here. He would have to explain how he ended up in New York without any records of traveling overseas from Japan and he wasn't about to do that. Following her advice he speed back up cutting a car off causing it to crash into another car creating a small blockade for them to escape. As he took the road she told him to he found an alleyway that was cut off from the main streets and turned down it before shutting off his bike letting the sounds of sirens pass by them before speaking. “So wanna tell me why someone as charming as you knows how to avoid the cops?”
