Today was not his day. Basil was slowly guided by one of the arena staff into the city's oldest structure. The Triton City Arena was packed to the brim with an audience just waiting to see him duke it out with someone else. Frankly, Basil wasn't so sure he was able to provide a good show. The only reason even bothered signing up was for the sake of fighting practice. At least like this, he got to fight, Digimon in the stands got their entertainment, and he got a closed space where he didn't have to worry about dying.
Once he entered the arena, he was exposed to the roaring crowds. The previous fights had apparently left them all charged enough that they were yelling the instant he arrived. Basil covered his ears for a few moments until he'd gotten adjusted to the noise.
"Maybe this won't be so bad..." he mumbled to himself. Once he flew off to the center of the arena, things began to change. The environment of the usual, circular arena he was accustomed to seeing for all of one minute warped and changed before his eyes.
The entire place now resembled a ship caught in rough waters. The tattered, old pirate ship jostled around almost constantly, making Basil a bit dizzy upon his arrival. Even though he told himself that it wasn't really real (even though it looked like it, he could smell the water, too), he had to focus. Just because the place changed didn't mean that he had to slack off.
"Okay Basil, just like you practiced. Breath in, breathe out..." he repeated. He took a deep breath in, slowly bringing the salty smell of the sea into his nostrils before he deep green light overtook his form. The floating eastern dragon soon exploded into a mass of data that expanded and grew until Basil's Adult form appeared next. The massive, armored green dragon placed two of his enormous hindpaws onto the swaying ship, the environment itself forcing him to balance before he fell on his face. Basil decided that hitting the ground was not the best course of action. He slowly floated a few feet above the ground on his hind legs as if he were standing, his full height almost coming up to the underside of the pirate ship's mast.
"Now...where's the other guy?"

AND SAY, HAH, WHAT I WANNA SAY tagged notes I will post more regularly after this post. Also, I need to get upgrades in but they are very minor.
Health: 100% Passive // Time Roulette 1) Any cooldowns Wisemon has is reduced by 1, however the moment it is rolled all cooldowns are refreshed so that it may apply the reduction.
2) Any attacks Wisemon has that deal damage become stronger by 20%, making them hit harder.
3) Wisemon's attacks come out in doubles instead of one, without changing cooldown or post duration. However the second attack is weaker than the first, and any doubled effect move just makes the overall radius larger in combination.
4) Health is regenerated slowly over time. All moves gain an added effect of absorbing 20% of health from the opponent and giving it back to wisemon. - Combat Log - | "I'M HERE!"
There was a sudden yell echoed throughout the vast sea that was once the stadium, followed by a young male trying to catch himself on the rocking ship. The arena had been filled with an audience, which while a breathtaking sight, made him realize just how nervous he was. The staff were pushy-shovey too, something he incredibly disliked. Though he supposed it was so no one could run away, something that he felt disgusted just thinking of; they signed up for it, why chicken out?
And on top of that... He wasn't quite use to this amount of attention. He hoped that this would change as the fight went on, which he was sure of, due to the rocking and gradually sinking boat he was standing on. There was a gigantic dragon floating above it on the other side, and it certainly made him feel a bit puny. The brunette really didn't like that too much, and with haste pulled out his digivice.
"Execute."
Data appeared wrapping around his hand, which was scanned into the back of the digivice. He didn't quite finish the mantra he'd normally do in spirit evolving, and instead just allowed himself to be enveloped in light as his body was changed into that of another creature. And so it did, as the light was swept away by a demon-looking hand, and a humanoid being took the place of the child, hovering a few inches above the boat, wings flapping neatly in a rhythm.
"Shall we start?" His voice seemed to take on a tone like that of a mystic, it sounded older, something much more akin to the form he currently took. However, the terrifying pointed grin that appeared behind the hood didn't look so fitting on the humanoid figure, with a flash of its hand, a translucent book appeared to flip rapidly behind him. When it stopped, the text seemed to glow before it vanished completely; as if it was never there.

"Ooh, finally."
Basil mumbled to himself as someone finally showed up, presumably his opponent. Said opponent was also human, which caught the massive dragon off guard a bit. He'd only encountered another human without a partner, and the last time that happened...
Just as he called it, Basil steeled himself. His mane, normally fluttering in the salty winds of the sea, soon turned still and unmoving. In the right light, one could see them get sharper. The little human fella started transforming as he exploded into a bright mass of data. A robed and winged Digimon soon took their place, their face and entire body obscured by the clothing. They didn't look all that big or menacing, but Basil knew a lot better than to judge that quickly.
"Alright, let's see what you have up your sleeves. Figuratively and literally." he chuckled to himself at the unintentional joke.
However, before he could make a move, something appeared behind the robed Digimon. A massive transparent book with the pages open roared to life. The pages spun madly before they finally stopped on a page filled with Digicode. He couldn't get the chance to read it as it disappeared in the blink of an eye. Whatever it was, that was not good at all, he was going to have to watch out for any books that popped up along with anything else.
With that thought, Basil struck first without a word. His jagged, spiked mane shone in the light of the moon before a myriad of needles, each the size of a hair for someone near two stories. For someone of a much smaller stature, that meant a miniature storm of body impaling spikes careened their way from across the ship. As soon as the Needle Storm had started, the vines laced across Basil's form began to shift and turn, much like his tail as he waited for the robed Digimon to respond. He didn't have the luxury of fast movement, so setting a pace meant a lot more.

AND SAY, HAH, WHAT I WANNA SAY tagged notes I will contact someone about this, but due to the dice roll code not registering the [1-4] range properly, I did it on Random.org. I'll switch to dice roll after. Proof of what I got.Health: 90% Passive // Time Roulette 1) Any cooldowns Wisemon has is reduced by 1, however the moment it is rolled all cooldowns are refreshed so that it may apply the reduction.
2) Any attacks Wisemon has that deal damage become stronger by 20%, making them hit harder.

4) Health is regenerated slowly over time. All moves gain an added effect of absorbing 20% of health from the opponent and giving it back to wisemon. - Combat Log - | With the book spun, the battle was initiated. Before Kiyo could register the situation, the giant dragon's mane turned sharp and jagged, representing a black thorn bush; only recognizable by the light of the moon behind them. His yellow eyes widened as the same spikes shot out of the mane, flying right at him.
This was certainly going to be an exhilarating fight.
The Wisemon found himself having to move quickly if he didn't want to get outright impaled by the incredibly large spears. One wrong move could jab it right through his body, and he didn't want that. While he could block them, the timing that they were coming at him left him little room to bring up the incantation to do so, and as a result found himself attempting to dodge around the giant needles. It was difficult due to the amount, but he felt confident enough to do so...
Until the last few. He found himself in a sticky situation, making it incredibly hard to maneuver around them. He flapped his wings as hard as possible so that he wouldn't get stabbed right in the chest, but instead found himself being jabbed right through the side of his knee, and another into his hip. Code, similar to that of blood, had burst from the wounds and he heard himself scream out in pain as he fell to the ground.
However, he forced himself to concentrate, flapping his wings to force himself to stay afloat so that he wouldn't have to deal with his leg. The young male was quick in retaliation, fueled by determination as another book popped into his head. In a digital language, he spoke out the words for "Sonic Void' as he reached his free hand out. Cloud filled the sky, signifying an oncoming storm. Then, without any other word of warning, a tornado forms around the Wisemon, touching down onto the ever sinking ship, before being launched towards the green dragon.
However, not too long after the first was launched, from the middle of where the first started heading off another one reaching up to 10 feet in height, 8 feet in diameter touched down, and launched itself towards the same target. This attack was a miniature version of the other, and would deal considerably less damage than the other one should it hit. |

Well, the fight seemed to be off to a good start in Basil's case. As soon as the needles had flown off, he heard a rather sharp pained yell from the robed Digimon. A few of the other needles stuck around, piercing the ship like a pincushion around him while others flew off from the vicinity of the ship. Basil recalled that this place was but a simulation, but he hoped that they didn't bounce off into the crowd. He at least hoped there was some sort of defense for the crowd if they could pack that many Digimon as spectators.
At the very least, he knew that either the guy was not fast, or didn't react all that well. Considering it was the first move and he only avoided a few, he must have not been totally prepped for that. That at least meant he didn't have much physical defense, which was obvious since he looked pretty scrawny. Now, all he had to do was keep making the tempo for the fight on his side. Which meant that he could either keep attacking from afar, or make him come in close quarters. He could hear Cherrymon's voice dictating that staying afar was much better. It was usually the same spiel whenever he had to direct humans and Digimon out of the forest.
"But since I'm not in the forest..." Basil thought.
Before he could give the Wisemon any chance to gather itself, Basil sped off towards the other side of the boat, claws at the ready. Before he even mad it to the other side, the Wisemon had already retaliated. Basil could hear the wind whipping and turning, and in no time, a tornado had formed that was more half his full height on his hind legs. Before Basil had a chance to figure out what was going on, another tornado had formed right behind the first.
He couldn't stop his flying on a dime, so he had only one thing to do; work with the momentum. Considering he hadn't even moved from the spot, Basil bent himself and curled into a ball, using the speed and momentum from his flight and curled himself in as tight as possible against the two tornadoes. With his mane providing a sort of shield, his mane transformed into the jagged Needle Storm once more, this time as a sort of outer shell that threw itself like a cannonball towards the tornadoes and the Wisemon. He had no idea if it would even work, but any plan that resulted in less damage against him was better than anything. Now he just had to hope that he hit his target as he forced himself to try and get through the two wind attacks with just his own speed and defense, it was still going to hurt a bit.
(It's no problem!)

4) Health is regenerated slowly over time. All moves gain an added effect of absorbing 20% of health from the opponent and giving it back to wisemon. - Combat Log - | In amaze, the injured Wisemon watched as the dragon used the momentum of the tornadoes he had sent out to move himself towards him, akin to that of a cannonball launched from a canon. That was interesting, and it was incredibly dangerous as well, as the spikes from earlier had made the dragon have a lot more dangerous collision. Wisemon however, using his wings as guidance for momentum, thrusted himself to the side to try and dodge the oncoming spiked up dragon-ball. After the dodge, the human-turned-digimon would clench his side in pain due to the sudden movement he forced on himself. Yet as he clenched his side, he thrusted his clawed hand forward in a motion towards the dragon. "Eternal Nervada."As if on beat, his eyes would glow ominously, and a black goopy substance would pour out of the fallen-angel's robes, turning into a gigantic blob flying towards the dragon it was aimed at. Surprisingly, he didn't feel anything from the substance coming out of his clothes, as it was just a manifestation of dark matter. If it managed to latch onto the target, it would attempt to cover the dragon. Meanwhile, Kiyoshi waited for any retaliation, hoping that this attack would by him some time to nurse his wounds. "Nice work, man! This fight's just started, but its pretty exhilarating!"( Eternal Nervada:
His eyes flash a bright sinister golden, and with a swing of the arm a black ink-like substance comes pouring out of the bottom of his robe. The substance, once latched onto the target, will engulf them and render them blind. The substance only lasts for 3 posts, and has a 4 post cooldown. However, as time goes on, it will get worse. At post 2, the sense of touch will be removed, and at post 3 the sense of hearing will be removed, leaving only taste. Once the initial effect wears off, however, all senses return all at once. ) |

He didn't feel anything make contact with his spikes, so Basil guessed that he missed. He felt the wind from the tornadoes whip and sway, so it probably slowed him down. When he collided with the ship, he tore through most of the top. When he hit the ground all spiked up, he'd accidentally made a hole in the sinking ship. When Basil began to uncurl and take note of his surroundings, he grunted in pain. That smarted a lot more than he was hoping it would, probably due to the random force of nature that the Wisemon had conjured up.
"Note to self, watch out for spells..." he grumbled as he rose himself up. The ship's top floor groaned and creaked from his weight as he shifted left and right. As he looked around for the Wisemon among the rubble he'd made, he noticed something heading in his direction. It looked like some sort of black goop that was careening down towards him. Before Basil could make a move, he expected the stuff to fully cover him.
At least, until the ship saved him. The floor he'd been standing on finally collapsed at the last second, sending him falling into the sinking ship's interior and into the salty waters below that the ship had gathered. Basil let out a yell before he was smothered by the ocean contained in the ship. If the Wisemon looked into the hole, he wouldn't see anything other than falling wood and debris, as well as the dragon's hair spikes that he'd already thrown.
Basil only had a few seconds to recuperate before he got a sense of where he was. For starters, he was underwater in a ship, which meant that he couldn't breathe. Whatever the Wisemon had thrown at him had missed thanks to the fluke that was his cannonball move, which he thanked his lucky stars for. Unfortunately, the fall, combined with the tornadoes had him wincing with every movement. Hopefully, if the guy was still directly above him, he could still do something.
"I wonder..." he thought.
Basil had never really tried out his plant powers in combination with water. Would the vines still work? Would they get bigger or stronger? If anything, it was still a good cover. As he flailed his limbs in some semblance to keep himself afloat underwater, he didn't have the luxury of time. The vines along his hands and legs slithered away from his body and attached themselves to each of his fingers and toes before they'd slowly expand into thorn like whips.
Soon, all four of them slowly slithered out of the water and spread out in different directions before they shot upward through the wood of the ship. Almost mimicking the sharpness and thickness of steel, the Vine Frenzy would simply act like its namesake; whip around in any direction until it latched onto the Wismon and either cut him into ribbons or threw him around. He was taking a very bad bet that he stayed in the same spot after he fell. Whether or not the move worked, Basil emerged from the water with a deep breath, his vines still attached from him. If he didn't stay in the same place, Basil moved away from the spot where he'd fallen to keep some idea of stealth. Just because screwed up already didn't mean he had to make himself obvious.

[/a] (CD: 2 turns) ○ Item used; summons rookie-level Numemon. Summon has yet to attack. [/ul][/div][/div][/div][/td][td] "Oh shit." Was the first thing Kiyoshi thought when he realized his attack didn't hit, he was still fairly injured, and vines suddenly sprouted out from the water towards him, and he started to back up, not wanting to be in a spot remotely near the vines. He didn't know what they would do to him. They were sneaky though, and he found himself backing up into one which wrapped itself around his waste; digging into the cut that was already formed there. He let out a very loud yelp, but kept his teeth gritted as he needed to concentrate, and he needed to do it fast. He didn't want to risk being grabbed by the other vines that were still creeping towards him, and it was sharp as steel, if he wasn't a champion he'd be sliced in half already by these things. His eyes widened significantly as the dragon rose up out of the water. It was worth a shot, he just hoped his aim wasn't completely off with how fuzzy this was. It wasn't a damaging move, but hopefully it'd shock him enough to lose focus. Not that it meant the vines would let go, but he needed time he didn't have. "Magician's Game." He choked under his breath as the blue lightning was shot from his finger tips towards the dragon. Not too long after the gambling magic was cast, the Wisemon would start squirming quicker int he grasp of the vines, until he managed to force it to cut against one of the other straying vines; cutting it so that he could land onto the boat with a loud thud, creating a crack in the floor, and making him gasp in pain. Instinctively he grabbed his side, hoping that the vines wouldn't be able to reach them as they were tied complete around the boat, and could risk bumping into eachother. In another act of retaliation, the Wisemon would then reach into his robes with the hand that wasn't gripping his side, and pulled out a small golden sludge ball. He gave it a squeeze, making it glow, as a rookie-level Numemon appeared beside him. It was there as a distraction, the Wisemon hoped it would be after all, as the only thing it was really good for was throwing poop. The slime dulled after this, needing to recharge, and so he put it in his pocket. It couldn't be used for the rest of the battle now, anyways, even if the Numemon died. ( Magician's Game roll possibilities:1) Damage Inflation: Increases damage taken from attacks by 30%, making them more vulnerable. 2) Residual Damage: Inflicts a withering status ailment, causing a 10% damage infliction every time they use a move. 3) Come At Me: Renders them unable to use any moves that have a status effect, making it so only damage-inflicting moves can be used. 4) Gender Swap: For a temporary period of time, the afflicted's gender is changed to that of the opposite.) Success! Basil couldn't see as he slowly rose from the depths of the water and back onto the top side of the ship, but one of his vines had definitely caught something. With a grin, he simply let them whip and turn, effectively attempting to slam the Wisemon onto any surface near wherever the vines were at. The enormous green dragon erupted from the depths of the sea, water dripping onto the wood as he scanned for the Wisemon.
Perfect, he got him. While he needed to do a lot more than catch him, Basil figured that he was making pretty good progress. Now, all he had to do was force the other vines on him. However, before Basil had a chance to actually move them, he found retaliation.
The sole vine that connected the two of them soon became live with blue lightning that startled Basil enough to let out a surprised yell. Once the electricity made contact, Basil half expected himself to become electrocuted, but that didn't happen. In fact, he didn't feel much of anything. At this point, he was wondering about two things; Just what did the guy do to him, and why was there a Numemon throwing poop?
"Ew...Really man?" Basil slightly cringed at the sight of the thing before he tightened up his grip on his opponent. Or rather, he would have, if he didn't cut himself free with one of the other vines. Little guy was smart, he gave him that. He had a little idea himself, too. Basil needed to go back on the offense. He released some of the vines from around his fingers and legs and let them drop onto the wooden floor for later. He turned himself around by the torso, almost like a spring before he started to spin.
"If you wanna run so much, try this." In that same instant, his mane turned into the jagged black spikes that the Wisemon had seen before. The Needle Storm now careened itself in a 360 degree direction, wave after wave of large black spikes piercing towards anything in the vicinity without discrimination. During the first two spins, Basil felt his spine lock up along with the rest of him. He let out a cry, this time of actual pain. The attack stopped as soon as it occurred, a deep blue electricity crackling around his body. Was he attacked? No, no, he couldn't have. He was still clutching himself after he was grabbed.
The only other logical thought was that he'd been poisoned. Or something to that effect. Basil was the one who usually did the mild poisoning and was never subjected to it. This felt a lot like how he'd expect it, really annoying and painful. Regardless, he couldn't let it annoy him any more than it just did.

AND SAY, HAH, WHAT I WANNA SAY tagged notes Hey I hope this is okay/isn't too much! Also the japanese translates to "Long-Ranged Poop Attack", lmao.
Health: 60% Passive // Time Roulette 1) Any cooldowns Wisemon has is reduced by 1, however the moment it is rolled all cooldowns are refreshed so that it may apply the reduction.
- Combat Log - | Numemon had shortly begun to use its 'Choukyori Unchi Nage' attack, throwing large piles of pink digital excrement over a long distance. Being the child as he were, while unfitting a Wisemon, chuckled a bit, allowing him to ignore his pain for a bit. The dragon released his vines, allowing them to drop to the floor. He paused for a moment, laughter dying out, as he took on a more serious look and went on the alert. He didn't exactly know what the gamble of electricity did to the other, but instant knock out wasn't one of string off effects attached.
When the dragon spoke again, he clenched his fists and his face contorted into a snarl behind the mask. So much for being nice, apparently. Another Needle Storm filled the arena, swirling in a circle like a giant spiked tornado, and moving like a storm towards himself and the Numemon in waves. His breath hitched in his throat, only briefly noticing that there were only two waves of this. Yet, he had an idea of how he could survive this, it was going to hurt though, and it was going t hurt a lot... but as long as he didn't die.
The first thing he did was pick up the Numemon and throw it at the storm so it could absorb some of the damage he would take. It was a meat shield, and he felt bad about doing that when the being disintegrated into fractal data from being pelted from the attacks. Yet, as the objects pierced through the Numemon towards him, he opened up his book, upon speaking a small incantation in digicode, the remainder of the first wave was absorbed into the book. The text on the book glew red, before abruptly shutting on itself. Pandora's Dialogue, a move he was hoping on not needing to use.
However, he was exhausted, and the second onslaught was still coming. "Alright, this is enough!" He growled out, leaping into the center of the storm; he attempted to dodge within the spikes, however due to the way they moved, he found himself repeatedly pelted by them. He forced himself to hold back his scream, he had to hold out, or this wouldn't work in his favor. With that, a wind whipped up around the withered-looking Wisemon, catching the spikes in its wake and causing them to change paths; circling around him in a cyclone, using his Sonic Void attack again. He then whipped the storm in the direction of the dragon, this time keeping within the center of the storm to try and avoid the needles surrounding it.
However, when he was close enough, he opened the book, summoning out the Needle Storm he absorbed from earlier. The entire thing was risky, but he hoped to god it didn't cost him dearly. |

Ow. Ow. Ow. Those were the fits of pain that he had to fight through from the stupid spellcaster. After two waves of the Needle Storm, the pain suddenly stopped like someone had finally stopped pinching him in the worst spots possible. The after effect of everything was obvious. The place was turned into a pin cushion, the Numemon thing was gone (thankfully) and the Wisemon looked none the better. At least he hoped so.
Basil stood on all fours, tail swishing around behind him in case he needed to make more of a point (hah) about confronting him again. His vines lay in front of him as he looked around to assess any damage. Of course, there wasn't much. The clouds began to linger around again, and before long, ther was yet another tornado. Oh crap. Basil made an effort to try not moving again towards them, because the tornado was not only spiraling towards him, they were carrying his own spikes!
"Cheeky." Basil grumbled. He expected something like this, but not so soon. He tapped his foot against the ground and scowled. Somehow, this part of the ship was still fairly solid, and it'd take a lot more to break through it, short of catapulting himself through it. That left one other slow option. He could feel the wind whipping against his body as the tornado careened closer, carrying his spikes still in the momentum.
"Please work..."
Basil's vines snarled outward, the thorns exploding into other vines, and so on. In the speed that it took them to arrive and wrap around his person, some of the spikes had already launched towards and nicked him on the arms and back, alongside the sudden jolt of pain from before. He had no choice but stay still as his protection took place, what was a few scratches and cuts? Apollo's Blessing took a short time to form, but with something heading towards him, he didn't have the luxury of time or movement. The vines closely knit together, forming circular cage of bramble and vines as the tornado finally consumed him and his cage. The cage shuddered and shifted as the whirling winds of the tornado whipped through the cage's tiny holes, some vines torn to pieces from Basil's own attack thrown back at him. Hopefully, the cage would deflect a few of, he didn't feel like being pin cushioned by his own attack.
