Fauna and Flora [Private/Zo]

The Savannah... Brennan had never been here before, neither had his partner, a Dorumon named Dora. The two walked around, exploring the Digital World had become something of a habit of theirs ever since they had met, not too long ago. This particular day, neither Brennan nor Dora had very much to talk about, so the duo just paced though the desert slowly absorbing their surroundings, looking at the flora of the Savannah. Brennan also very much enjoyed inspecting the fauna of the Savannah, there were many Digimon there he had never seen before, and as a rule of thumb, Digimon were much more interesting to him than any old earth animal, after all, they did have the ability to Digivolve, which was one of the coolest things Brennan had ever seen.

So here she was, back in the Savannah. Zo closed her eyes as a gentle breeze blew across the fields. The tall grass shifted accordingly with the dancing wind. The scent of grass and earth filled her nose. The first time she had been here, Zo had just landed in the Digital World. It had been less than a week ago, but it felt longer. She wasn't sure why. Glancing down to her bag, the girl gulped. Instead of an egg in her bag, there was a small slime creature. He had introduced himself as Tate, and Zo was unsure what to make of everything. Her Digivice still hadn't shown up. As she walked, her attention drifted to a boy in the distance. Tate would shift in his bag as Zo approached the boy. He'd bounce up onto his tamer's shoulder and called out. His high pitched voice reached across the plains to the other tamer as he bounced on Zo's shoulder. She gave a soft wave but kept quiet herself. ”Hi!”

Hi! Brennan heard someone say, and turned around, faced with a girl with a slime-like Digimon on her shoulder. Surprised by the sudden appearance, Brennan waved awkwardly, and tried to greet the duo. "K-konnichiwa.." He said, realizing the girl might not speak Japanese, "O-oi..." He tried, then realized the girl might not speak Portuguese. "H-hola..." He tried... wait, the girl might not speak Spanish.

Dora kicked him in the ankle and seethed in his ear, "English, you idiot!" Brennan nodded, finally getting himself back together.

"Hi!" He attempted, hoping that English would work. He approached the two, waving at them, he hoped they would be interesting people... but hey, at least Brennan wasn't meeting up with Leyton for the nine-trillionth time. Not that the didn't like Leyton...

As the boy turned to look forwards her, she tilted her head curiously. His wave was a bit off. Zo raised a hand to her chin thoughtfully. Had she caught him off guard. As he spoke, her head tilted to the other direction. He said hello in what she believed was Japanese before switching to Spanish. As his Digimon barked and kicked at the boy, shouting something about English, Zo let out a laugh. She'd approach, speaking softly into the small slime's ears. Tate would nod eagerly. He loved translating for his tamer. Taking a deep breath, the slime would bounce up and down and speak. ”I'm Tate! And my tamer is Zo! She doesn't speak English or Japanese, but she does speak Spanish! I translate for her to keep things simple though!”

The slime Digimon said he was named Tate, and that his tamer went by the name of Zo. He also said she spoke Spanish, but not English or Japanese, so the Digimon translated for her to keep this simple. Brennan looked at the girl, "Si usted quiere, puedo hablar español." He spoke Spanish fluently... mostly, he was much better at Portuguese and English than anything else, but he could fully understand and speak Japanese and Spanish, albeit with a few grammar errors every now and then. Brennan shrugged, either way, he didn't care, though it would be rather nice to have a chance to practice his Spanish.

Dora shook his head, Brennan was so impolite. "I'm so sorry about him." The purple Digimon said to Tate. "He can't help but be rude. Anyhow, my name is Dora, and my human partner goes by the name of Brennan."

When the boy began to speak Spanish, a smile flashed across Zo's face as she clapped her hands in joy. She loved finding people who spoke Spanish. ”Me encanta encontrar una persona que habla español! Es tan raro aquí por alguna razón! Pero usted parece ser capaz de hablar tantos idiomas diferentes si esos saludos había alguna indicación!” she spoke, her words moving past. When the Digimon began to speak, Zo laughed. Tate would look up at his tamer and nod. ”Estaba siendo muy educado, aunque! Incluso usó la versión educada de usted.” Tate would look towards Dora with a bright smile. ”It's nice to meet both of you though!”

Brennan flashed a smile at Zo's comment, nodding to the indication that he was very well educated. He wasn't going to disagree, it's not like she was lying or anything... Tate included that it was very nice to meet Brennan and Dora, to which the normally shy Digimon flashed a smile. "¿Eres de España?" Brennan asked, curious as to where this girl was from. "¿O tal vez usted es de Mexico?" He continued, while Dora was much more interested in conversing with Zo's Digimon.

"Tell me, Tate, how come you're still in your Fresh form? Were you just recently born? Or perhaps you were reborn after a tragic accident?" Dora terribly hoped it was the first, he loved meeting Digimon like him, those who were born not too long ago.

Zo nodded eagerly at the mention of Spain. She'd clap her hands together. ”Si! Soy de Barcelona!” Her face lit up as she spoke. However at the mention of Mexico, the girl's smile dropped a bit. The mention of it reminded her of the horrible girl she met on her first day in this new world. She would shake her head. ”Definitivamente NO estoy de México!” she snapped as she crossed her arms. When Dora mentioned a tragic accident, Tate smiled weakly. ”Ah... er... I had a little accident...” he spoke softly. Clearly, it wasn't a subject he enjoyed thinking about as his bouncing stopped.

Zo's face lit up at the mention of Spain, but quickly darkened with the mention of Mexico. "Lo siento!" He said quickly, pausing for a second afterwards. "No soy un fan de México, pero tenía que preguntar, algunas personas son..." He said apologetically, hoping the new person would forgive him.

"S-sorry for asking!" Dora mumbled while Brennan apologized to Zo, "Y'see... I was just asking because I was only born about a week ago... and it's always nice to meet someone in the same boat as me..." Dora clearly felt really bad, as did Brennan. Neither one liked it when people became mad at them, so they hoped their apologies would suffice.

Zo crossed her arms and began to grumble. " Pft! La gente siempre piensa que sólo porque usted habla española que eres de México o América Latina! Es muy molesto! Español es de ESPAÑA no México!” She honestly wasn't that upset with the boy, but remembering the whole incident with the eye patch girl from her first day at the Digital World definitely annoyed her. Meanwhile, Tate smiled politely. ”Ah it's alright! You dont have to apologize! It's good to be curious!” he reassured the younger Digimon. His smile would grow as he bounced. ”Well! I love meeting other Digimon in general! I'm happy that you've made your way into this world so I could meet you!”

Zo didn't like how people assumed those who spoke Spanish were from Mexico, and said that Spanish was from Spain not Mexico. Brennan nodded, "Sí, sí. Lo siento..." He said with an apologetic bow, he knew the girl was from Spain, and that bows were not a tradition there, but living in Japan had made him grow accustomed to bows.

"Well thank you!" Dora chimed in, glad that the Digimon had accepted his apology. "So tell me, you two, what are you doing here in the Savannah? Just wandering?" Dora wondered what the two were doing here, after all, there wasn't too much to do in the Savannah... It was pretty boring, especially for somewhere as eventful as the Digital World.

As Brennan nodded, the girl crossed her arms in victory. At last someone agreed with her! Everyone always tried to come up with some weird response about how, even though she was technically right, she was wrong. Why did they do that!? Spanish was from Spain. As he apologized and bowed her head, she laughed awkwardly. ”Ah, Su bien, usted no tiene que hacer eso!” she insisted, her face turning a soft red. Her eyes would shift to the Digimon in an attempt to escape having to see the awkward bowing. Tate would look up thoughtfully before nodding. ”Yes! We were wandering about. Zo is trying to find out how to open a portal back to a computer in her town, but she's been having some trouble- so we're here. This is where she first came to the digital world- the Savannah that is, not this very spot. She's hoping to be able to find a way back from here,” he explained.

Brennan stopped bowing as soon as Zo said he didn't have to, she was blushing slightly. Tate then explained how Zo had gotten to the Digital World from her computer here in the Savannah, and that she didn't know how to get back. Brennan grinned slightly at this, not missing a chance to impossible his awesomeness, so, he began to explain how to get back to the real world from the digital world. "Con el fin de volver al mundo real, usted tiene que poner su Digivice en frente a uns computadores esparcidos por el mundo digital." He wasn't exactly sure why this worked, he just knew that putting his Digivice in front of one of the many computers scattered across the Digital World brought him back to his room, the place in which he had entered the Digital World from.

Zo would reach up to gently pat Tate on the head. He was such a thoughtful little guy. She had been watching him interact with the younger Digimon, Dora, while she spoke with Brennan. When he began explaining how to go back to the human world, Zo hung her head with a heavy sigh. Tate would smile weakly and laugh awkwardly. ”Ah...haha... erm, we've tried that! But you see, it appears that Zo accidentally knocked her screen over when she was brought here. So, her computer in her room seems to be broken. We've been trying to get to one near her house, but so far, no luck!” Zo would nod along as Tate spoke, clearly not happy about it.

Zo had broken her computer when she came to the Digital World... uh oh, that wasn't a good thing, not for anyone, especially not for Brennan, who loved his laptop more than anything in the entire world, well, except maybe his family. "She broke her computer... damn, that's too bad. Let's see here... If we can get to a computer port, I can try to reprogram it." He looked around, and luckily, there was a computer port not too far away. Brennan smiled, and ran towards the port. He crouched down and began fiddling with the buttons on the computer port. He spent a few minutes or so fiddling, and got up, "Esta arreglado. Llevará ustedes al centro de Barcelona, hay una biblioteca con comoutadores." He smiled at Zo and Tate, he hoped it would work...
