TWIN DIGIMON
So you wanna have Twin Digimon?
Twin Digimon are the result of a single Digimon's data being split in two ( and no more than two ) during the creation process, creating two Digieggs at the same time composed of the same data. This phenomena is fairly common in the Digital World, and results in two similar Digimon that are sometimes assigned a singular Digivice. Twins can either be tamed Digimon or lone Digimon, but cannot be spirits or fusion partners. Twin Tamers are unique in that they can only select the D-3 Digivices, having no access to other Digivices as it is functionally incompatible.
Twins must be identical in some fashion in their first three forms. Their Fresh and In-Training forms are best identical or extremely similar, while the Rookie level allows for some deviation, but must still be of a similar species or type. This connection must be logical and you cannot simply use two Digimon that you like because you like them. Some notable basic examples would be Agumon and Blackagumon, and a notable advanced example would be Lucemon and Tinkermon. If you are unsure on a twin's compatibility, ask a staff member.
Twins are slightly weaker than solo Digimon by their lonesome. Twin Digimon unlike other Digimon must split their stat pools as evenly possible among themselves. If a single Digimon were to ever fight a lone Digimon one on one, the twin would be at a disadvantage. More detailed information about this can be found on in the the Statistics page.
Additionally, due to not being as large byte-wise as most Digimon, they can only obtain the Champion level by themselves. However, they have a number of bonuses, as listed below.

- Twins gain a free additional attack at every stage beyond Fresh and In-Training called a "Combination Attack." This is a powerful attack that utilizes the power of both Digimon at the same time.
- Twins gain many additional DNA forms. They gain a DNA Champion slot as powerful as a standard Champion, a DNA Ultimate slot as powerful as a standard Ultimate, and of course, a DNA Mega and DNA Ultra.
- Twins have a number of special purchases exclusive to them - many which unlock additional DNA slots and forms. (Byte Expansion upgrades, etc)
