When one light falters, another is reborn!

Sebastian would glug his soda along with penguinmon, awaiting the return of the rest of the group. It would seem Yana would be the first to return closesly followed by Oceanis. Alex  and Drake would be the last and it seemed the less successful of the group, though honestly Sebastian wasn't shocked, it would have been strange if everyone had managed to find information. Though three out of four wasn't so badeh?. Yet it would seem the information Yana and Oceanis and even himself had been given roughly the same information, though Sebastians was the most detailed even though it lacked most of the details his was also the flimsiest for the digimon he had spoke to had stated it could completely be a rumour, but Sebastian offered the information anyway. "I got about the same, Shamanmon outside of the city to the west, past the dunes. Apparently he lives near the oasis but according to my sources well, that could all just be a marage" Sebastian would say, honestly the information they had was somewhat, lacking but it was all they had.

"OH, yeah i got you all one of these" Sebastian would say as he handed out the drinks to humans and digimon alike. "So, should we head to the dunes, and see if this information holds up, its our best lead at the moment" Penguinmon would say. Sebastian had a strange feeling, as if he were being watched, scanning the area his brow arched inwards scrunching up his face a little, yet nothing looked out of the ordinary and his digivice wasn't beeping or showing danger. "Are you ok Sebastian?" Penguinmon asked noticing the strange behaviour. Nodding to her and putting on his best fake smile, he still couldn't shake the strange feeling. Yet he would put this aside, awaiting any suggestions and information anyone else could or would offer, if they decided this was the best course of action Sebastian would lead them west.

One by one the rest of the team arrived, shortly after Yana came Oceanis, and after him Alex and Drake. While the latter two were unable to find anything interesting - in no small part due to having had less time to search - Oceanis too dug up some information regarding a shamamon outside of town: "Seems that's the one lead we all got, it's worth following through on it...", Ari nodded approvingly. "Don't worry about it, nothing happened...!", Yana tried her best to reassure the younger tamer for getting distracted; if they couldn't even do so in the middle of a city where could they? Regardless, aside from getting the same piece of information, Sebastian got a heap more details than they did, having discovered that Shamamon lived not only to the west of the town but past the dunes, near an Oasis. This information actually worried Yana a little since she had expected the shamamon to be right out of town, and now discovered they'd have to venture through the desert: "Oh, Thanks!!" "So considerate of you~!"v, Ari smiled appreciatingly, with both her and Yana taking a healthy chug off their drinks. It certaintly helped with the heat! But with this thought, the Gatomon remembered something else, "If we're gonna be adventuring through the desert, getting some hats for you humans would be a good idea." A heat strok would hardly be pleasant... Ari was usually concerned for Yana like this, but with more friends nearby, she couldn't help but worry about all of them.

Seems like Oceanis wasn't the only one to hear about the Shamamon, and Sebastion got more information on his whereabouts as well. Good, they had a starting point on where to look. Then Ari brought up getting hats for the humans. "Well, I'll wait for you guys on the outskirts then. If you need any cooling down on our trip, well, I'm always here for that." While a walk through the desert wasn't ideal, if it helped his new friends, he would help out. With a small wave, he turned and headed for the outskirts of town.

Some time later, Oceanis was sitting on the Western outskirts of town, waiting for the others to arrive. He had taken the time to freeze some of the area around himself to keep cool. Plus, it would help the others find him. He hoped they wouldn't be too much longer. Shopping for hats wasn't some big journey, was it?

As he waited, something caught his attention. A figure in the distance, heading out towards the desert. Oceanis narrowed his eyes, trying to see who it was, but the rippling air made working out the details impossible. Then,city a gust of wind blowing the sand, the figure was gone.

It would seem the ice like digimon would head on without the group, Sebastian thought of the idea, a hat, that would be a great idea but he was kind of worried about Oceanis going on his own. Deciding it would be ok, Sebastian would smile at the group. "a hat sounds like a good idea, lets go get some" Sebastian would say as he and penguinmon headed off. Soon enough they were decked out, Sebastian had an ice water spray to cool himself and penguinmon down and now wore a simple baseball hat, Penguinmon wore a proper summer hat, big wide and ladylike and on the penguin it looked kind of hilarious. Hopefully once everyone was ready the group would set off to meet up with Oceanis. Sebastian would arrive upon the digimon saying the words "what was that". "What was what?" Penguinmon would utter, thus also allowing the ice type to know that they had arrived.

Even though it was the desert and the ice the digimon had made was melting it was so refreshing and cool. "wow man, nice little patch of ice ya made, i could get used to this" Sebastian would say as he bent down to place his forehead on the cool ice, honestly he was positive you could see the steam as his head connected, the hat was helping but his thick long bushy hair made his head sweat like michael jackson in a nursery. "We should hurry, the quicker we scower the desert, the faster we can find this digimon right" Penguinmon would say. Yet at that moment they would hear a howel, a screech so angry it scared the pants of Penguinmon whom jumped in to Sebastians arm in a rather comedic "scooby doo moment" They could see something charging at them, some figure moving quickly. What was it?

Rage, oh sweet rage how it had been a while since it filled the soul, the soul of the once wise digimon. It felt like its ancestor, its lower life form the Goblimon, how dare they steal from me, how dare they take what belongs to me, HOW DARE THEY, I SHALL GRIND THEIR BONES INTO DUST, I SHALL USE THEIR LIVER FOR PATTE AND I SHALL DEVOUR THEIR EYEBALLS thought the raging creature as it flew across the sand dunes, it had located shadows in the distance, IT MUST BE THEM, THEY MUST HAVE TOOK IT. Releasing a fiersome howl the Shamanmon charged, blurring utilizing the heat mirages to obscure its movements. As it moved it raised its clubless hand, "GIVE, IT, BACK" it screeched as a large ball of fire seemed to erupt in to existance, a ball of fire that seemed to be enhanced by the heat of the desert, it may be classified as a rookie, but the shamanmon power seemed to be on par with the champion level in this heat, as it moved the fireball moved with it before it thrust its hand outward, skidding in the sand sending the fireball with mass speed towards the group of tamers.

...Or a helpful Ice type Digimon could probably do the same thing more easily. It made Yana feel glad to have taken the young Oceanis under her wing, even if his unpleasant circumstances still made her frown. No matter what she had to purify his tamer so the wayward duo could finally be together again. It would be difficult, but it had to be possible right: "Much appreciated!", Yana thanked him, the two had an easier time talking due to similar eye-level... Waving off as he went on ahead, Yana nodded at Sebastian as he agreed with that plant: "Hmm...! Let's go!", she'd answer. Their shopping didn't really take long, she found it smart on Sebastian's part to get himself a water spray, she she went for a more elegant alternative: A red fan. Thus there went with a cap on her head, something even Ari took part in, buying one for herself. "Oooh? Is that Oceanis...? Smart of him!", Ari praised, crossing her arms and nodding approvingly as they happened upon the small patch of ice. But as the quarted reached closer to the SnowAgumon, they found him staring intently at something pretty far away. he squinted his eyes and faced towards the horizon, so much the Gatomon would skip close to him, mimicking his gesture and trying to see for herself, "What were you looking at...?", she asked. But they didn't have much time to wonder what it was... The odd shape seemed to be getting closer and closer, but even as it did they couldn't really tell what kind of shape it was. It was incredibly wierd, more than enough to keep Yana and Ari alike staring intently in that direction. But suddenly, Ari sprang into action, pouncing onto Yana and knocking her onto the sand as a fireball came flying their way! Luckily they were looking in that direction, allowing Ari to see it before anybody else, "Look out!!", she'd alert her allies immediately...

"I don't know," Oceanis replied, only now noticing that Yana and Ari had arrived, "I thought I saw something in the distance, but it's gone. Must be the heat. Causing me to see things." He shook his head and shrugged. No sense in wasting too much energy over it. They had a Shamamon to track down.

Or rather, one was going to track them down, as he suddenly heard someone shout at them. Give it back? Give what back? Oceanis looked over just in time to see a ball of fire heading straight towards them. Oceanis quickly put himself between the fireball and Yana. "Stay back!" he yelled out, icy air forming between his jaws. "White Hail!"" Normally this attack would have fired a spray of icicles, but in this case, in the heat of the desert, Oceanis decided to take it up a notch. Firing a large ball of ice, which formed into a large icicle, both fire and ice collided in a blast of steam. While it was enough to put out the flame, the force from the attack still hit Oceanis, knocking him off of his feet.

WHITE HAIL - Spits balls of cold wind high into the air, which freeze the air into Icicles that rain on the opponents. This attack is quick to execute and can be done repeatedly. If he wants, SnowAgumon can spit a larger ball that makes a bigger icicle, which deals double damage, but puts the attack on 1 turns COOLDOWN.

Much like Ari, Penguinmon would pounce forward and knock her tamer down while the snow agumon challenged the fireball, thought it managed to diminish the fireball, the force and heat washed over the trio, scorching it seemed to mummify sebastian, he was suddenly so parched from the fire like attack. Grasping the bottle of water he had he would drink, still parched and a dry throat, Sebastian would reach for his digivice. "Digiarmour, ENERGIZE" Sebastian would say, the pain in his dry throat caused the sound to be more muffled than normal yet the digivice would re-act. From the digivice a digital egg would flow forth projecting the data in to the penguin like creature whom would then be overcome by the bright digital light.

Subsiding, this digital light would have changed the form of the creature, bringing in the familiar form of the colourful toucanmon, not a digimon actually built for its physical power, but one intended to be a powerful defender, Sebastian felt that it was the better cause, rather than enhancing her size in to that of Kokatorimon. Though the sandy dunes would prove difficult to move in, she would though, she would charge towards the Shamanmon whom continued to scream for them to give it back. What did they need to give back? The digimon would seemingly from the ground itself produce bones, these bones would then be hurled towards the digimon and their tamers. With glowing eyes the bones would soon be met with marbles of light that erupted. "Ari, you handle Shamanmon, I'll protect the others" Toucanmon would shout, her role was defensive, a protector, she would protect Yana and Oceanis as if they were Sebastian. Alas Alex seemed to be no were in sight, they could use his help. Sebastian would drink more trying to relieve his pain

The charging creature summoned bones from the ground, the creature launching them through the psychic link he seemed to have with them, yet Shamanmon would release a howel as these bones were destroyed by the tranformed bird. The enraged creature would screech, the howling becoming a visible burst of energy directed at the ice digimon before bringing more bones from the earth and firing them at the group. "GIVE ME IT, YOU STOLE IT, I WANT IT BACK, I NEEED IT BACK, MY CLUB! it shouted, tears slowly flowing from its eyes. .

Not long after Yana had gotten a mouthful of sand, Oceanis stepped in, raising an ice barrier. It made her think back to when she had claimed this Digimon's life, back when he was corrupted... And now here he was, fighting to save her, "Thank you...", she uttered. How stupid she was... She killed him for nothing, allowing the posessing entity to move on to the next prey. Yana stood up, nodding at Penguinmon's suggestion with a resolute look, "She's right, Ari... You alone have sharp enough senses to find the enemy and the speed to get close." "Got it... Be sure you protect Nana-chan...!", she urged once again with a trusting look towards Penguinmon and Oceanis. The latter would have a hard time being helpful in this envoiroment, much less against a fire using Digimon. Ari deftly dodged the bones as they appeared from the ground, it wasn't really hard with her sharp reflexes and speed, since the two were matched at the champion level and the bone based attacks were quite small. Thus, Ari would quickly dash inbetween them, before finally pouncing towards Shamamon with Lightning speed, aiming to punch it in the gut, "Heaven's Knuckle!!" She didn't care why the guy was attacking them, but once he threatened her tamer, Ari didn't really care either. She'd knock him out, and they would talk once he cooled off...

Thank goodness he wasn't going into this fight alone. With Ari and Penguinmon (or rather, Toucanmon) fighting beside him, they shouldn't have any trouble dealing with the enraged Shamamon. Seeing the Digimon launching a burst of energy right at him, Oceanus dove to the side, the blast hitting the sand where he was once standing. There really wasn't much he could do, especially in this heat.

But then the Shamamon yelled out something. Give him back his club! Then again, weren't Shamamon normally seen with a club? So they could see the future or something? That was it! That was why he was attacking them! He thought they had run off with his club! "Hold it!" he yelled out, trying to get the digimon's attention, "We didn't take your club! Calm down!"

As the group engaged, doing their own thing, The earth below shuddered, sand erupted as the giant form of the ultimate known as Bulbmon made itself present. It dwarfed every dune, it dwarfed all that could see it. Massive in size and capable of holding up to forty digimon with ease. "Beepboopbeep" the vehicle digimon echoed. its front opening revealing two creatures known to be Cyclonemon and clockmon, though clockmon did not wield a hammer, instead it wielded a club, one that looked like Shamamon. Shamamon howled, ignoring the cat whom had assaulted it, It howled in anger but more so embarrassement. "I'm sorry, my club, i need it back" The shamonmon echoed.  But that would be easier said tha done with an ultimate and two champions facing you down right. As if to prove a point, Cyclonemon opened its mouth and released a beam with such heat at the group, while the vehicle began to charge its own assault.

As Ari focused on pummelling the Shamamon to ensure the confused Digimon didn't hurt her tamer, Oceanis tried his best to convince him not to attack them. They hadn't stolen his clubs why the hell did he decide to strike first and ask questions later?! But just as it appeared Oceanis' efforts would be all for naught, something appeared that proved their point. Ari leaped aside, avoiding the emerging bulbmon as it opened and revealed a Cyclonemon holding Shamamon's club, alongside another buddy: "Now do you believe us?", asked a faintly annoyed Ari with a hint of irony. Yet there wouldn't be much time so set things straight as the Cyclonemon soon fired an energy beam at the crew, prompting a desperate Ari to run to their aid, "NANA-CHAN!!" "Ari!!", Yana called out as her tag and digivice lit up, flooding the Area with with a reassuring, loving light. The Gatomon bathed in it, triggering her digivolution, "Gatomon, Chou Shinka... Angewomon!!", her radiant form grew and changed shape until she completed her transformation into the Ultimate level, at which point she effortlessly stepped between her allies and the Cyclonemon's beam, gathering a pink glow in her hands and drawing a holy cross that intercepted the attack, "Heaven's Charm!!" SPOILER: Click to show ○ Heaven's Charm - Attacks with a pinkish ray of light which is packed with beauty and affection, and demonstrates its strongest efficacy against the evil powers of Digimon; This attack is quick to execute, Ari can simple point or swipe her fingers, swiping her hands in a cross form. Virus type Digimon hit by this attack also experience 50% reduced damage on their following attack. It can be used to defend against enemy attacks, breaking a single attack below Ultimate level, or else reduces that attack's damage by 50%. If Heaven's Charm is stronger than the opposing attack, it can still hit the opponent behind it. "Everyone, Digivolve, quick!!", Angewomon urged her digimon friends, knowing they'd need all of their power to take down the enemy team, resigning herself to protection duty until they did it, determined not to leave her tamer exposed.  Used Flight and Holy Antibody passives

Well, this just went from bad to worse. With a massive burst of sand, a Bulbmon, Clockmon and Cyclonemon suddenly appeared, and one of them was holding the staff. So THEY were the ones responsible! However, as they began their assault, things took another interesting turn, with Ari digivolving into Angewomon! Thing were getting a little even here, and Oceanis was NOT going to sit back and let them all do the fighting. He had barely been able to hold back Shamamon before, but what could he do against two champions and an ultimate. The snow agumon growled. He had to do something! With all his might, he wished he could do something to help them.

And then, as if some digital god heard him, his wish was granted. A bright light engulfed the small digimon as his form grew. "Snow Agumon, digivolve to, Seadramon!" With a might roar, the light vanished, revealing Oceanis in his new form. How long had it been since he was this form? It felt like a piece of him had been restored. He turned his baleful glare towards Cyclonemon, who had attacked them. "Ice Arrow!" With a roar, he fired a blast of freezing water, straight at the yellow digimon.

ICE ARROW - Discharges a breath of absolute zero-temperatured water, which freezes the enemy solid upon contact aside from dealing frost damage. Enemies Ultimate level will only be slowed by 50%. Last for 2 turns. Enemies higher than utlimate level are unaffected. COOLDOWN: 3 urns after effect ends.

Meanwhile, behind a sand dune, someone was watching. "Well well, look who managed to digivolve, all by himself...or so he thinks..." He looked down, the glow fading from the digivice he held.

Thankfully, it would seem as though Sebastian and Touconmon were not needed to fully utilize there power against the Shamamon, not because it halted straight away but because new players entered the fray, The large Bulbmon, Cyclonemon and Clockmon, the latter holding the club that the Shamamon wanted. Sebastian would look to Penguinmon as the beautiful Angewomon took charge, her attack, her power shining as powerful as hear beauty. With a flick of the digivice Toucanmon reverted just as Seadramon was revealed. "How the" Penguinmon uttered. Then the answer came as the Seadramon released his attack. The powerful blast shooting forth aiming for the cyclonemon seemingly combining with the heavens charm to add the cold power to it, though this was not needed.

Sebastian turned to face the direction Hamelin, or Gepetto would be in, having not seen him since he had been taken by Gigyas, Though he was not in view Sebastian knew he was there, the digivice reacted another one, the beeping revealed this, coupled with the fact Oceanis digivolved, which was an impossible feat without ones tamer, he was here....he was close. This was not what they needed, not now, not at this moment they needed help, they needed Alex were ever he had vanished off to. Sebastian turned, his digivice held upwards allowing the digimon partner to attain her own champion form. Yet Kokatorimon would not run of to battle, she was unsure, she needed to protect Sebastian, if Hamelin was here....surely that meant Gigyas might be around too. Gulping Sebastian would take a slow step back, that cat had hurt him and his partner, he didn't want it to happen again.
