Can the future be seen?

Clothes had been washed, his outfit replaced by an exact replica. A bag on his back carrying the extra clothing and some food and water. Thankfully the trio would reach the city. Penguinmon had returned to her form a few days after the ordeal, having been asleep pretty much non stop since the run in from the mechanical cat like creature. Yet the creatures spirit was not dampened, which in turn helped keep Sebastians own up. They had reached Tecton city in the dead of night, hot, starving and exhausted. Thankfully a bed and breakfast seemed to be open and three rooms were available. Thus the trio would have been able to stay the night.

The next morning, freshly showered, freshly shaven and over all cleaner than he had felt in ages, Sebastian Devaroux had decided to forego his usual style and dress in the track suit he found within his room, red top, white t-shit, red trousers and of course white shoes. Magically they seemed his size, and man were they comfortable, especially in this heat, they were soft and flowed when he moved allowing air to glide in to the naughty parts that within jeans became sweaty and icky.  Ready to go, he and Penguinmon walked in to the "eating" area and found a table with six chairs, Lifting Penguinmon up he would sit beside her. "How are you feeling?" he would ask the digimon. "are you going to ask that all the time, I told you i'm fine," "But you almost" "Don't make me tell you this again, Digimon don't die, we are reborn, only if our data is assimilated is that when we are really gone." she would say. "and i know you would never let that happen, but please, we are a team, when you stand up i stand beside you, and when you fall, I fall. We do this together, always and forever" "Always and forever" Sebastian would say smiling planting a kiss on to the forehead of the penguin.

"I think we should wait for the others to eat, then we should decide on our next course of action" Penguinmon would say. It was true they had much to do, the mark they had was not gone, they needed to find out information on so much, who would have thought that hiding in the sewers would have brought on an adventure of such magnitude. "I guess we should try by finding a library, archives, history of the digital world" Sebastian would say as he waited for Yana and Ari, as well as Alex and Draco. He couldn't help but wonder about Hamelin, the guys digegg was currently upon the table, Penguinmon was a somewhat motherly figure, she enjoyed caring for the egg, singing to it, keeping it warm. Yet she was sad, she knew it needed its tamer, "We'll figure something out, i promise" Sebastian uttered, yet honestly right now, he had no idea what he was going to do.

Giygas the mechanic gatomon... Gepetto the posessing Virus... Hamelin the tainted tamer... All of these were troublesome foes they had to be on the lookout for, but more that just lookout, they also had to figure out what exactly were they trying to do. First off they had to figure out what to do with the egg the corrupted tamer had discarded. Right now that precious new life was the most important of all Yana's concerns, and even after the little digimon had finally hatched that didn't change the slightest bit. Meanwhile, their travels lead them westwards, to a city lost in the middle of the desert. It would require the help of every digimon with wings to actually get there, since none of them were in the mood nor condition to walk through miles of desert. Even as the sun set, the desert air only changed from too hot to too cold, but fortunately, Yana was far more at ease with the latter... Before long they had arrived at a hotel and they were finally able to sleep... And in the morining, Yana was finally able to take the long relaxing bath shepd been looking for. She soaked in the tub with Ari, enjoying the bubble bath for a lot longer than she probably should have... This was one of those days when she managed to pretend to sleep at a friend's house only to actually stay in the digital world. But even then she wasn't nearly as happy as one such occasion should make her "Something on your mind, Nana-chan...?", asked Ari, splashing her tamer with water to get her attention, which she just shrugged off, shaking her head. Gigas went on and on about the destruction of Olympus, which visible startled Yana but meant absolutely nothing given the absence of any background knowledge on the matter. Thus, the problem here wasn't how there was something bothering her, but the opposite, "Not really...", she muttered, even if 'nothing in particular' would be a better answer. Regardless, Ari's doubtful look followed by a quick examination of the bathroom mirror was enough to tell her she had been in the bath too long. Yana slowly stepped out and wrapped a towel around her body, handing a smaller one to her Gatomon partner. Walking up to the mirror, she wiped with clean with her hand, taking a long look at the reflection with a vacant look... Amidst the many unpleasant memories of that encounter, one still lingered... The thoughts of what she wanted to do to that parasite, to the mechanic gatomon... Those would haunt her longer than any of the phantoms she'd met before. But even now, she moved on; she had to... Thus, she quickly put on a new outfit, the blue version of her school uniform that she hardly ever wore, complete with a blue headband. But for Ari, Yana was too silent... More so than usual... She was obviously worried about something and the small Digimon had a hunch she knew what it was. It was always the same thing with her; the parts of herself Yana failed to accept often came back to haunt her. Regardless, Yana put on her brightest smile, as always shoving aside the darkness within in favor of remaining positive and cheerful. Entering the dining room with her hair still half wet, she headed over to her friends' tables; smiling and waving at Sebastian and Penguinmon, "Good morning! Slept well, I hope?" It had taken some time for Oceanis to be filled in on all that had happened, and even for him to piece together what had happened. His memories for his time as Gepetto had been a blur, the latest thing he could remember was him being in the Dark Area. According to Yana, the girl who's care he found himself in, he had turned into a little psychopath, discovered a trainer, only for whatever was infecting him to jump over to his tamer, twisting him. The worst part was that Oceanis didn't know the smallest thing about his tamer. Even his name. Yana had told him he had referred to him as "Ham-Ham", but he seriously doubted that was his real name. And when he asked her what he was like, she didn't tell him anything. It really bothered the little Digimon.

During their trip to Tecton City, Oceanis had managed to digivolve into his rookie form, a Snow Agumon. Needless to say, having an ice based Digimon around when walking through a hot desert was a real good thing to have. He was not happy when he learnt that his corrupted rookie form had been a Toy Agumon. He just couldn't imagine it! Well, he was back to his old self now, and for the time being, was sticking to Yana like glue. She had told him she and her friends were going to try and restore his tamer back to normal, and he wanted to do anything he could to help.

That morning, as everyone was gathering at the breakfast table, the snow Agumon approached, smiling when he saw Yana. He hadn't gotten to know the others yet, and from what he heard, they all had a part in his 'death', so he was a little wary of them.

A lot of events had passed over the last few days,a lost boy by the name of Hamelin was being manipulated by a digimon possessed with an evil virus. The digimon had forced his tamer to do multiple things in order for it to become stronger. There was one moment that the young tamer just couldn’t quite shake from his memory the funhouse. Geppeddo the digimon consumed by the evil virus had forced Hamelin to build a house full of deadly traps, and use them to delete digimon for data. Luckily for the digimon in terrabyte city Alex, and Drake were there to save them. Then the events of the sewer were something of horror; Geppeddo was destroyed for his ill intentions, and was reformed as a digiegg. The tamer tossed the egg to the side like garbage only to reveal that he had been possessed with the evil virus. The tamers were awestruck as to what was going on, and didn’t really have a gameplan to deal with something that weird. Then an evil cyborg cat digimon came, and took the virus infected Ham away from the trio. After the events that transpired in the sewer the group of tamers made their way to Tecton city to a local hotel. After arriving at the hotel the young, and his partner Drake would make their way to the shower washing the putrid sludge from their bodies. The fact that he took a face full of shit water truly fueled him even more to find a means of eliminating that dastardly Geppeddo virus. Though there was the issue of the cyborg car digimon that could manipulate gravity, he was going to be tough to beat. The water would continue to pour over the head of the tamer as he was in deep thought. His spaced out state was broken as his partner poked his leg. “Alex are you alright? You keep staring off into space.” Alex would turn, and look his partner in the eyes placing the palm of his hand on the digimon’s head. “Yeah buddy I am alright, just got a lot on my mind. Let’s go see the others, and see if we can’t figure out some way to save Ham.” His digimon would nod; “Right!” Alex would make his way out of the shower wrapping himself in a towel, and making his way to his room Drake following behind him. Once in his room he forced on the only change of clothes he had, and made his way downstairs where the others were. Alex would note that the SnowAgumon that had hatched from Ham’s egg was standing in the midst of the group. “Oh, hey Oceanis!” Alex would mutter as he recalled saving the digiegg from the depths of the sewer. One thing was obvious to the tamer was the fact Ham was going to need his partner after he was freed from the evil virus. “So, what have we got so far guys?”

When one light falters, another is reborn!

The large eggs sat upon the table, awaiting the remainder of the group as they cooled down, Sebastian and Penguinmon sat together, as the sound of footsteps approached Sebastian would raise his head and offer a gentle smile towards Yana and Ari. "Goodmorning you two" Sebastian would say as he stood up. Being a gentlemen the man would rise upwards moving towards the seats and take two form their position pulling them outwards, if Yana and Ari were to sit he would push the seats in, he would re-take his seat. His stomach growled and hunger filled him, taking the eggs and bread he would make a rather large samwhich for himself and for Penguinmon whom despite being a bird loved egg. Thus the two would begin to eat just as the snowagumon appeared. Penguinmons eyes lit up, as stated before Penguinmon would normally sing to the egg, but since its digivoloution in to its fresh form and beyond, she had sensed an awareness, a cautiousness coming from the rookie thus had opted to give him space. Penguinmon would smile and wave despite the full mouth of egg and bread.

The agumon variant would sit near Yana and Ari, the two it seemed comfortable around, which was strange as they were the two whom had ended its previous forms life, for the better good of course. Alas Alex and his partner would be last, thus the entirety of the group had appeared. Sebastian would finish his sammich wiping his mouth before placing his hands upon the table. "We were thinking, Penguinmon and I, that the best place to start would be some form of informaton hub, a library if one exists, maybe there might be something there on the mark, the olympian digimon, darkness infection and possibly something on that machine" Sebastian would say uttering the final words with distaste, his hand upon clenching around the table in anger even thinking about the feline, he had halted himself from saying that cat with anger for Ari was feline in appearance and unlike that mechanical thing, he liked Ari and did not wish to offend her. "Yeah, that would be our best plan so far, if theres nothing in the library we could ask around the city if anyone has heard of anything that we have seen before, i mean, in the entirerty of the digital world, theres bound to have been something like this happen before right?" Penguinmon would ask though it was obvious in the tone of her voice that she was uncertain.

It felt kinda wierd to have the digimon she had only recently deleted sticking to her like a newborn cub to its mother, but she slowly eased up by channeling that guilt into taking care of the life they'd restarted and helping guide it back into the right path. Oceanis was clearly happy to be back to his old self without the corrupting virus, and didn't seem to harbor any ill will towards Yana and Ari for killing him in the first place. It was a difficult choice, but letting him loose would mean all the blood Gepetto spilled would be on their hands as well as Oceanis. It was a bit ironic that he still seemed wary of the other tamers and digimon even though it was Ari who dealt the killing blow, but it would undoubtedly go away as he got to know them... Alex arrived soon after, followed closely by Drake. They hadn't met that long ago but in the process of fighting the evil Gepetto virus and his newfound ally they were all stuck together for better and worse. Yana didn't really mind - all of them looked like good people and Digimon - but she did worry about their safety. Penguinmon and Drake only recently reached Champion form and even then they could do nothing to that dreadful Giygas. "Morning boys~!", Ari waved at Oceanis, Drake and Alex, with Yana echoing her greeting and waving at the new arrivals If that weren't enough, the orphaned Digimon next to them was also pretty worthy of concern, and since they all shared the blame of killing him to cure his infection, then all shared the responsibility of ensuring he had a tamer to return to. Sure, as far as Yana was concerned he was welcome to travel with them, but would he really want to be apart from his tamer? Most likely not... So after the Russo-Japanese girl grabbed herself a bowl of cereal and an apple for Ari, she then turned to Sebastian to ask the Million dollar question, taking in all the information he suggested: "So, we should probably start by asking around the hotel lobby...?", she asked with a raised eyebrow, looking at all her friends present to see what they thought. It was the only place she could think of, being a complete stranger to the city. Even Ari had never been here that much, let alone be on the lookout for a library, so she simply agreed with an approving nod. But Penguinmon had a point, even if they did find a library, there was no guarantee they could find anything about Giygas or whatever he was planning... Yet someone, somewhere, might have seen - or at least imagined - one such thing.

Oceanis dug right inot his meal, helping himself to ham, bacon and eggs. Sure, it was unusual for an ice digimon to eat hot food, but he was a dinosaur after all. Plus he had some ice cold juice to go with it, so it balances it out. He quietly listened to the tamers talking amongst themselves. He had a vague idea of what was going on. Dark marks that caused them to be visited by the dead over and over again. A bit creepy when you thought about it. Taking a napkin, he cleaned off his mouth as they finished speaking, the perfect time for him to speak up. "Well, this is something new right? I don't think anything like this has happened before, so I doubt any library has anything on it. Your best bet may be to find a digimon who knows about this sort of stuff. Like a Wisemon or something like that. I'm sure they know tons of stuff that's not in any books." That was just his idea though. If they wanted to spend time asking around, that was their decision, but honestly, finding a particularly smart digimon was probably their best bet.

Alex would scratch his head as he listened intently to what the group had to say on the matter. “Well guys I feel that Oceanis brings up the most logical point. Why don’t we look to a digimon that has a vast amount of knowledge. Not only is wisemon a good digimon that can provide information, but there are others for example what about datamon? He is like a central hub for all the goings on in the digital world, or so I have read, never really met one. What do you think Drake?” Drake would look around the room, and he would begin to jump, “I don’t feel datamon would give a reliable source of information on what we are needing he is a virus type, and likes to use knowledge to manipulate others.” Reaching into his pocket he would pull out a crumbled piece of paper that he had in his pocket, and began to scribble some words on it taking notes on everything that was being presented to the group. “So, even if we were to look for some sort of assistance from a digimon where would we go to even find this wisemon?” So many unanswered questions were beginning to rummage through his brain. “Also, something has been pressing itself on my mind what is this Olympus that the black cat was spouting on about? Olympus in greek mythology was the home of the God’s; could it be the home of the God’s of the digital world?”

Sebastian would smile gently, but he would shake his head, "I wouldn't assume that this is the first time something dark has taken over a human, especially not in this world, one thing the Digital World has taught me, never assume anything. We aren't the first ever humans to enter this place, my bet would be, that somewere within this world, there has been cases, whether one case or a hundred, that have a similiar if not identical demanour to how your tamer was taken, in fact, to how you were taken by this virus, or whatever it is. There must be a creation point of the virus a reason that it is sentient, and that thing, that cat sensed it so quickly, he came to its aid in mere minutes of it jumping, to me thats not coincidence. But perhaps a digimon would be a much better idea, the only issue is, we don't know were to find Wisemon.

I think we should split up, we can cover more ground that way, we can use this bed and breakfast as a return point, everyone check in on the hour every hour until we find something. I'm going to start by finding out everything i can about this thing" Sebastian would say as he revealed his mark to Alex and Oceanis, Yana had obviously seen it prior owning one herself. "We can also ask around if their is any digimon worth speaking to, Wisemon, Shamamon, those type of digimon whom have clairvoyance" Penguinmon would say gently. It was pretty much the only thing they had, the only solid ideas. Thus Sebastian would stand from his desk and smile at the group. "If anyone cares to join me they can, anyone else, feel free to disperse and get as much information as you can, We meet back here in one hour exactly, no amount of information is too small. Everything we can find on anything that is useful is not wasted." the tamer would say as he began to head for the door with penguinmon at his side.

Oceanis did raise a good point... Something like this was clearly something new; and while it might be possible to find something in a library, there were no guarantees or any idea of how easy or hard it might be (though probably very difficult). As her friends all commented on the best places to find the information they were looking for, Yana simply nodded as her mouth was full; otherwise it would be rude. All of them seemed to agree on a Wisemon or a Shamamon, as a Datamon would be manipulative and more likely to lie... Regardless, even if they agreed with finding a knowledgeable Digimon, the same problem remained, "We still have to find him though... Personally I don't know any Shamamon or Wisemon...", Ari observed before turning to Alex who didn't know what Olympus was. This was the kind of question only a Digimon could properly answer, or a human who'd heard such from one, "Exactly. They live high up in the sky, though not every digimon believes they exist and even fewer have actually seen them." Sebastian then proposed they split up and try to cover more ground that way, which once more Yana simply agreed with a nod. Then she swallowed and looked to both Sebastian and Alex as the former started getting up and heading out, informing them of her plan as they finished her meal, "I'll start at the hotel lobby then. I still think someone might know something there..."

It was good to see the others were taking Oceanis' idea to heart. The Snow Agumon couldn't help but smile. For a bunch of guys who had 'killed' him, they were a pretty good bunch. He would have expected them to be a bit more wary of him after what he had been through. As they split up to search for information, Oceanis decided to tact to the streets. He wasn't that big of a fan of Tecton City to be honest. Way too hot for his liking. Still, there were plenty of stalls about to provide shade as he tried to find any information regarding any smart digimon around the area. Unfortunately, for the most part, he wasn't really getting anywhere. Granted, this was a town of merchants. What business would a Wisemon have here? He really couldn't think of one roaming around and shopping for nicknacks or anything of the sort.

However, he did start to get some little pieces of information. Something regarding a Shamamon living nearby, just outside the city. But that was really all he could gather. Shamamon were known to be pretty knowledgable, so hopefully this little piece of information could help. Now he just had to find the others to give it to them.

With words said and actions begun, Sebastian Devaroux would head out in to the streets of the city, his penguinmon beside him. The duo would make there way through the city, "Sooo, should we try asking someone?" Penguinmon would say as they made their way through what seemed to be the market district, "Yeah, i suppose thats our only move right?" Sebastian questioned to which the Penguin type digimon replied with a nod. So the duo would begin to ask, their first question involved a library, yet upon asking many digimon they came to a rather solid conclusion. "So this city doesn't have one" Sebastian would say as they sat upon the bench in the hot sun, using some of his bits, he had purchased two ice cream cones that the duo would slowly devour, the cool touch upon their lips somewhat rejuvinating the pair. It would seem that they were at an impass. "I suppose we should ask about any digimon near by who might be able to tell us something, what where their names again?" Simon asked Penguinmon.

"Wisemon and Shamanmon" Penguin would say gently as she finished of the last of her cone. Sebastian would also finish his own before the duo set off. Again they would confront crowds, repeating the same question over and over again. Some digimon avoided them, some glared at them. Some of them laughed and scoffed about legends, while others gave information though some of it was contradictive, the most conclusive story was of a shamanmon living near the oasis, though apparently this was only a marage, yet it was the only lead the duo had managed to gather, west of the city near the large dunes there Shamanmon was supposed to reside. Checking his digivice which just so happened to have a clock on it, the hour was almost up. Thus the duo would begin to head back to the bed and breakfast, they had stopped to buy some refreshing soda's for the entirety of the group. So upon arriving they would head back in realizing they were the first to return, the hour was almost up. Hopefully none of the group found themselves in danger.

One by one all of her friends went their separate ways for the time being, determined to cover more ground and hopefully find a lead a little bit faster. She was particularly worried about letting Oceanis go his own way, in her eyes he had only just been born, purified of the evil within. How much did he remember about life before Gepetto infested him?! Poor thing... Regardless, if he wanted to find information himself they had no right to stop him, even if he had only recently been born from an Egg, he wasn't a baby. Which left Yana and Ari to cover some ground elsewhere, which they did not too far away from where they ate dinner, at the hotel's Lobby. A Bastemon was working as a rather charming receptionist, and clearly the cat girl digimon would get along nicely with Ari: "Excuse me, do you know if there's any Wisemon or Shamaon in town?", Ari would ask, preferring to do it herself than to await for Yana to overcome her shyness. Plus, digimon tended to respond better to other Digimon anyhow. The Bastemon would shake her head, and after a bit of casual chatter with Ari, the two girls left the hotel with all but zero leads: The closest thing to one would take them eastwards, to a park. Apprently, there were four Jijimon that often spent their times, lazily playing cards and/or dominos. They had been around longer than any of the younger Digimon, so if anybody in this town were to know where they might find a Shamamon, then one of the Jijimon might certainly know too. But getting them to talk wasn't really easy... Indeed, the bored Jijimon instead demanded the two young girls play a game of Dominos with them, which took them nearly the whole hour. They were very slow players... Fortunately, Yana was also incredibly patient, and after the game was done the Jijimon finally gave her a lead worth following. One of them was old friends with a Shamamon living in the dunes west of the city! With this information returned to the hotel, running into Sebastian not long after, "Did you find anything worthwhile?", asked the curious Yana

As Oceanis approached the hotel, he would find Yana, Sebastion, and their partners outside, talking to eachother. As the Snow Agumon approached, he could make out Yana's question regarding information. The small ice digimon picked up the pace, quickly running over to them. "I heard something!" the small digimon called out, getting their attention, "There's apparently a Shamamon living somewhere outside of town. Hopefully he can help us out." He wished he knew a bit more, but it was at least something.

Meanwhile, not far from their location, someone watched from within the shadows, a lean form, keeping himself hidden despite his strange outfit. He picked a good spot that allowed him to overhear what they were saying, but at the same time keep out of sight. "Shamamon eh?" the figure mused to himself, a twisted smile spreading across his face.

Alex would slowly break out of his thoughts only to notice that the team had already left in search of Shamanmon. Looking down at Drake Alex would mutter, “Hey buddy why didn’t you tell me that the others left without me?” The small dragon digimon would laugh “I thought you needed time to sort things out so I just kept to myself until you finished thinking.” Racing out the door he began to question a variety of digimon in the city, but none of them had the slightest idea where to find a Wisemon, or Shamanmon. After travelling for a while he would note the group had reconfigured in a centralized location. He was curious as the the answers that the tamers might have found in the time he was lost in thought. Quickly running to the group he would wave with a smile on his face. “Hey guys sorry I took so long got lost in my train of thought. Sadly, this is something I need to work on; something bad could’ve happened in the time I was spacing out please forgive me.” He would lower his head in shame to the events that had transpired. “ I sadly didn’t find anything out did you guys find any sort of information on the location of the digimon?”
