❝ "This is the place?" Harley asked her partner as she stepped out of a small 2000 Ford Mustang - a relic from the past that just happened to be washed up on the shore on the other side of the coast. By some miracle, though the white paint was now much faded, the interior ruined, and the insides rusted, it still ran relatively smoothly. The Digital World was full of oddities like this, it seemed."Look I'm no mapigator, see, but yeah this is the place." The small bat-like Digimon responded as he fluttered out of the other side of the parked car, taking perch onto of the vehicle. "...Mapigator." The white haired girl spoke with some annoyance, now looking forward at what appeared to be nothing but a shore and miles and miles of ocean. This was a dead end. "Yeah, that's what we call Digis who create---" The DemiDevimon wasn't able to finish, cut off by his tamer, "Forget it. What do we do now?" Both fell silent. Neither were sure. An ancient map said that one would find a temple here, which would then contain a prize of hidden peace and sincerity. A treasure so great that it could bring forth a power that could pave for world harmony - something like this would be in anybody's interests to get a hold of. Harley was skeptical, but nevertheless tempted by such an offer. After all, this was a dangerous world, and a little bit of peace and harmony would do it some good. Alas, it was likely just a ruse invented by a child, if there were even any children in this world that could write. The ones she had encountered had no arms, let alone any fingers or capacity to draw up such maps. The tiny devil Digimon flocked to her shoulder as the wind took her hair. "I refuse to just give up on this - we have to get stronger!" The tamer angrily spoke to the ocean, only to get no response. Her partner even remained silent upon her shoulder during this. Passive Abilities: Passive abilities are abilities that Digimon have without having to actively use. These are often resistances or feats like the ability to levitate or fly, but at times can be more complex or even abstract. Generally speaking, these should not be overwhelmingly powerful where it would give your Digimon an advantage in any given situation. "We must of read the map wrong, fuck, I don't know. Let's get out of here." As the girl turned her back to the sea, it began to rise, water washing up on the shore in a violent manner. The waters tore apart, splashing on the duo and the vehicle, and from them rose a large serpent, clad in metal armor. It towered without end, standing nearly a mile above the teenager in size. It's mighty jaws opened up, bellowing out a mighty cough. "Sorry, I just ate." The beast commanded, hacking up the remains of what seemingly belonged to a large fish. Harley slowly turned around in awe, looking upon the mighty armored creature. Her partner was more alarmed, actually taking off of her shoulder and fluttering behind her, being the first to respond to the serpent, "H-Hey buddy, we ain't here to steal nothin' I swear, w-we were just driving along y'know, y-yeah just driving." The pale girl looked at him in confusion, causing him to swiftly answer at a hushed tone, "That's Metalseadramon - he's a Mega Level." "Relax." The beast's voice was soothing, calming as the tidal waves themselves. It certainly didn't match his intimidating appearance. "You want my treasure. A lot of people do." Harley stepped forward, showing no real fear of the beast, but having a bit of caution in her steps, "Metalseadramon. We require your treasure to ensure the upholding of justice in the Digital World." The beast looked down upon her with a bored look - the same old questions from the same old rookie tamers. "And we kind of want to kick more ass than we do now." The last remark caused the serpent to chuckle, then lowering his head to their level. "You can have it. I'm tired of people asking, anyway." With the somewhat anticlimactic answer, the Metalseadramon coughed again, this time sending forth a slime covered egg. Harley slowly picked it up, being disgusted by the texture and condition of the artifact. It was azure in color, matching the waters behind it. After it was wiped down, it would probably be very pretty. But what good was an artifact? "What good is an egg, you're asking yourself now. Within time, you will find out." Before the duo could ask the great beast anymore questions, it slithered away back into the ocean, drowning out of their sight. "I'm confused, but satisfied." |
