STARTER GUIDE
Welcome to Digimon: Exodus! First and foremost, thanks for joining and we hope you'll enjoy your time here. We understand that perhaps, getting started can be a little confusing, so this is a step-by-step guide helping you to get there along the way!
FIRST STEPS
○ If you haven't done so already -- register a forum account! The button for doing so is in the top right hand corner of the forum at all times. Click "register". Also, don't worry: the username you register with can be changed in your profile at any time.
○ Drop in the chatbox! Right at the bottom of the screen, with a direct link to a full-screen version here. Exodus' members are its pride & joy -- so drop in and introduce yourself!
○ Choose a character class! The brief overview guides to each are all located in this same forum.
○ Choose a Digivice (Tamers only)! Digivice information can be found here.
APPLICATION UP
○ Copy the appropriate application template from here, taking care to fill out the right one for your chosen class.
○ Title your thread appropriately. The correct format is FIRSTNAME LASTNAME, with NOTHING else.
○ Leave the crest section blank. Staff will do this when your app's approved!
○ Crop/resize your in-app images! The easiest way to do this is to download a program like Paint.Net and then uploading them at Imgur. Go into the BBCode tab of your post editor, find all the "http://placehold.it/100x100" images and replace them with your desired ones! Perfect.
○ Fill out your app! Whether you want to do it in one post or many -- go right ahead, this is your territory, now. However, to avoid spacing and coding issues we heavily advise you edit the app template in the BBCode tab rather than the Preview tab.
○ Don't worry! If it feels a little daunting just remember: you can start with the barebones. You don't need a full digivolution line or comprehensive history right away: that's what the profile edits board is for. You can always come back later!
THE LAST FEW PIECES
○ Post your app in the Notification Thread! This can be found here -- and anything that needs staff attention (apps, edits, hunts, purchases) should be linked here.
○ Sort out your user profile! Your username should be your character name -- staff will edit it for you so it is, if not -- and make sure you fill out all the lower fields, such as Digivice, OOC Name, and Avatar.
○ Got any questions? Make sure you ask staff if there's anything further you're unsure about.
○ Finally, wait for approval! The Notification Thread should be cleared through once every few hours -- and we should get to your app within 24 hours of it being linked in the Notification Thread, usually sooner. In the time being, there's still loads to do -- check out our events, and chew the fat in the cbox. Welcome to Exodus!
