DIGIVICES
If you are playing as a digidestined, you will need to choose a digivice upon character creation. Each Digivice type is unique and has its own perks and drawbacks, allowing you to tailor your playstyle after a specific type.
However, some say that there are certain shops that allow... modifications that are not completely legal to your digivice, giving it access to functions of the others. All Digivices, for example, can purchases card scanners. Some can also purchase an armor digivolution slot, allowing access to the Armor Champion and Armor Ultimate level.

The D-1 Digivice is the classic Digivice that made its first appearance in Digimon Adventure, the Digimon series' first official season. The D-1 is considered by some to be a primitive device, and is one of the four Digivices available to choose for Tamers from the outset. Its primary drawback is that in order to reach Ultimate-level, a Tamer must undergo a staff-mediated and approved quest to obtain a Crest, and the same for Mega-level, but to obtain a Tag. A D-1 requires an Ascension mission to access the Ultra-level.

D-1 Digivice
The D-1 Digivice is the classic Digivice that made its first appearance in Digimon Adventure, the Digimon series' first official season. The D-1 is considered by some to be a primitive device, and is one of the four Digivices available to choose for Tamers from the outset. Its primary drawback is that in order to reach Ultimate-level, a Tamer must undergo a staff-mediated and approved quest to obtain a Crest, and the same for Mega-level, but to obtain a Tag. A D-1 requires an Ascension mission to access the Ultra-level.
Functions of the D-1:
- Digivolution: Utilising the D-1, a Digimon can Digivolve normally up to Champion level. Unlocking Ultimate evolution requires your character to overcome their first torment given at character creation and complete a short quest for their crest, after which you will receive 25 posts. Unlocking Mega evolution requires your character to overcome all torments given at character creation and complete a short quest for tag, after which you will receive 30 posts.
- Ultra Digivolution: Reaching Ultra level requires an ascension mission, which are particularly hard and can provoke character death if not done right. After completing your ascension quest, your human gains +5 to all statistics.
- Warp Digivolution: Provided both forms are unlocked, a Digimon can successfully 'skip' a stage and reach one higher (i.e. Rookie straight to Mega).
- DNA Digivolution: Two Tamers with Digimon of (usually) the same levels can combine their Digimon in a fusion known only as DNA Digivolution to reach a higher, conglomerated state.
- Scanner: The D-1, as with all Digivices, possesses a scanning function that reveals the Species and Level of any Digimon in its immediate area, as well as providing a GPS for digital signals. Buying a Digimon Information Scanner from the Terabyte Mall will allow you to reveal Type and Attribute whilst also storing it for future reference.
- Digiport: The D-1, as with all Digivices, will allow users to enter and exit the Digital World at will.

D-3 Digivice
The D-3 Digivice is the revamped Digivice that made its first appearance in Digimon Adventure 02, the Digimon series' second official season. The D-3 is often considered a staple Digivice, as it is often the standard amongst Tamers. The D-3 while is initially limited Digivolution up to Champion level, it is also a bit different from D-1, using Digieggs or Digimentals as a source of power to Armor Digivolve. This makes it a highly versatile Digivice that immediately helps new tamers get their foot onto the Digital World. The D-3 is one of the four Digivices available to choose for Tamers from the outset AND is the only Digivice available to Tamers with Twins.
Functions of the D-3:
- Digivolution: When a form is unlocked, up to Champion, the D-3 allows free Digivolution. Unlocking Ultimate evolution requires your character to overcome their first torment given at character creation and complete a short quest for their crest in which they will find a Golden Egg. Unlocking Mega evolution requires your character to overcome all torments given at character creation and complete a short quest for a Divine Egg.
- Ultra Digivolution: Unlocking Ultra evolution requires questing for a transcended egg, which is typically an especially hard and usually lethal endeavor.
- Armor Digivolution: At the Armor Champion level, a Tamer with a D-3 receives two armor champion forms earlier on then their normal champion form - one for battle, and one for utility. Each of these Digimentals must be quested for separately.
- DNA Digivolution: Two Tamers with Digimon of (usually) the same levels can combine their Digimon in a fusion known only as DNA digivolution to reach a higher, conglomerated state.
- Warp Digivolution: Provided both forms are unlocked, a Digimon can successfully 'skip' a stage and reach one higher (i.e. Rookie straight to Mega).
- Scanner: The D-3, as with all Digivices, possesses a scanning function that reveals the Species and Level of any Digimon in its immediate area, as well as providing a GPS for digital signals. Buying a Digimon Information Scanner from the Terabyte Mall will allow you to reveal Type and Attribute whilst also storing it for future reference.

D-Power Digivice
The D-Power Digivice is the revamped Digivice that made its first appearance in Digimon Tamers, the Digimon series' third official season. The D-Power, like its predecessor, possesses all the Digivolution-based features required to reach up to Super Mega, but provides further drawbacks and bonuses. The D-Power is the only Digivice that can utilise cards in battle to provide their partner Digimon bonuses, upgrades, and special attacks, but at the drawback of its requiring a Blue Card to access Matrix Digivolution, and a Red Card to access Biomerge Digivolution, both of which additionally require staff-approved quests to obtain. The D-Power is one of the four Digivices available to choose for Tamers from the outset.
All D-Power users start off with two Common rarity card packs of their choice and 1 Rare rarity card pack of their choice. Additionally, when successfully completing a quest for one's Blue Card, Red Card or for Ultra level Biomerge Digivolution; the user gain 4 free randomized Super Rare/Ultra Rare cards. These are all redeemed at the Aurora Card Hall.
NB -- You must buy cards to use with the D-Power! All cards can be used once per thread. You can use a maximum of 5 cards per thread, 7 with the D-Power. You can overlap up to two cards simultaneously so long as their effects make sense, i.e. not summoning two pieces of two-handed equipment together for a Digimon that only has two hands.
Additionally, utilising attacks of an originally higher level on a Digimon of a lower level (such as Omnimon's Grey Sword on your Crabmon) does not mean that the lower level Digimon attacks at a higher level. To illustrate your example, your Crabmon simply has a Rookie-level Grey Sword, which provides a proportional power boost.
Functions of the D-Power:
- Digivolution: Utilising the D-Power, a Tamer can reach levels up to Champion independently. Unlocking Ultimate evolution requires your character to overcome their first torment given at character creation and complete a short quest for their crest in which they will find a Blue Card.
- Warp Digivolution: Provided both forms are unlocked, a Digimon can successfully 'skip' a stage and reach one higher (i.e. Rookie straight to Mega).
- Biomerge Digivolution: With the D-Power, Biomerge Digivolution is possible, allowing the tamer and partner to become a single, but nonetheless powerful Digimon; at least Mega level. However, this is not without drawbacks, as it puts the tamer right in the frontlines. Unlocking Biomerge Digivolution evolution requires your character to overcome all torments given at character creation and complete a short quest for a Red Card. Additionally, an Ultra level Biomerge is obtainable, but requires the user to quest for it, which is typically an especially hard and usually lethal endeavor.
- Card Reader: Buying packs of cards from any of the numerous stores around the Digital World can provide specific battles in-battle when they are run through the D-Power's reader, such as physical attribute boosts, attacks, or other curious effects. Additionally, D-Power users can use not one, but two extra cards per thread compared to other Digivices!
- Scanner: The D-Power, as with all Digivices, possesses a scanning function that reveals the Species and Level of any Digimon in its immediate area, as well as providing a GPS for digital signals. Buying a Digimon Information Scanner from the Terabyte Mall will allow you to reveal Type and Attribute whilst also storing it for future reference.
- Digiport: The D-Power, as with all Digivices, will allow users to enter and exit the Digital World at will.

D-Tector Digivice
The D-Tector Digivice is the new Digivice that made its first appearance in Digimon Frontier, the Digimon series' fourth official season. The D-Tector does not function in a manner similar to its predecessors; the user of a D-Tector does not possess a partner, but is in fact a "Spirit User", one who bonds with digitised spirits -- avatars of more powerful Digimon containing portions of their energy -- to become a Digimon themselves, eliminating the Tamer bond completely in favour of something more primorial and personal. Unlike the Tamer's Digivice, the Spirit User's D-Tector unlocks its earliest spirit at 60 Posts at reduced power, earning it's next spirit at 200 Posts, but all other future spirits will have to be found, or purchased, through 'Spirit Hunts', which are (typically) solo threads of 500 words or more. Spirit Users start with 20 Posts, and the D-Tector can only be used by Spirit Users.
Functions of the D-Tector:
- Digivolution: Utilising the D-Tector, a Spirit User can reach levels up to Ultra equivalent (T-Hybrid) immediately with no downside beyond hunting for spirits..
- Slide Digivolution: Provided both forms are unlocked, a Digimon can successfully 'slide' between spirits (i.e. H-Hybrid straight to T-Hybrid).
- DNA Digivolution: Two Spirit Users of (usually) the same levels can combine themselves in a fusion known only as DNA Digivolution to reach a higher, conglomerated state. They can also combine with other Digimon if necessary.
- Z-Hybrid Digivolution: Even with such a primitive device, it has been proven true that reaching T-Hybrid level (Ultra equivalent) is possible.
- Spirit Storage: The D-Tector freely stores all Spirits the Spirit User comes across.
- Scanner: The D-Tector, as with all Digivices, possesses a scanning function that reveals the Species and Level of any Digimon in its immediate area, as well as providing a GPS for digital signals. Buying a Digimon Information Scanner from the Terabyte Mall will allow you to reveal Type and Attribute whilst also storing it for future reference.
- Digiport: The D-Tector, as with all Digivices, will allow users to enter and exit the Digital World at will.

iC
The iC Digivice is a Digivice that made its first appearance in Digimon Savers, the Digimon series' fifth official season. The iC is more conventional than the D-Tector, but it is like the other Tamer Digivices, simply more concealable and fashionable in the real world; it also possesses the ability to access something called "Digisoul Charge" for a variable amount of posts per thread. Digisoul Charge emulates your Digimon's power to be a level higher than it effectively is, at the cost of energy expenditure, for a very short burst of time. However, this digivice is very limited, and manufactured solely for DATS agents.
Functions of the iC:
- Digivolution: Utilising the iC, a Tamer can reach levels up to Ultra independently.
- Warp Digivolution: Provided both forms are unlocked, a Digimon can successfully 'skip' a stage and reach one higher (i.e. Rookie straight to Mega).
- Digisoul Charge: A Tamer's emotional and spiritual bond with their partner can, for short periods of time, cause a curious form of energy known only as Digisoul to start channeling through the iC. When overcharged, the Digisoul Charge boosts a Digimon's overall power by ONE level, altering their stat pool accordingly. The length of the digisoul charge also depends on the maximum level a digimon can achieve. For a Rookie or Champion, Digisoul lasts two posts. For a Ultimate or Mega, three posts. For a Ultra level, it equates to a 100% power boost for 3 posts. However, it can only be used once a thread, and once used, it degenerates the digimon back to its previous stage for the amount of time it was active.
- DNA Digivolution: Two Tamers with Digimon of (usually) the same levels can combine their Digimon in a fusion known only as DNA Digivolution to reach a higher, conglomerated state.
- Biomerge Digivolution: Normally exclusive to tamers with D-Powers, DATs has the knowledge to modify a tamer's D-Power into an iC. While unfortunately having to make due without all of the exclusive bonuses it once had, a D-Power turned into an iC keeps this unique ability, it replacing normal Digivolution to Mega level and Ultra level. Functionally, the user must still hunt for Ultimate level and the two respective Biomerge levels just as if they still had a D-Power.
- Scanner: The iC, as with all Digivices, possesses a scanning function that reveals the Species and Level of any Digimon in its immediate area, as well as providing a GPS for digital signals. Buying a Digimon Information Scanner from the Terabyte Mall will allow you to reveal Type and Attribute whilst also storing it for future reference.
- Digimon Storage: The iC has the ability to store a rookie-leveled digimon partner within itself, and can recall the digimon freely.
- Digiport: The iC, as with all Digivices, will allow users to enter and exit the Digital World at will.
