◄ WHEN SHE WAS JUST A GIRL, SHE EXPECTED THE WORLD "So you're telling me you've never swam before?" A sigh escaped from the teenager's mouth. How was that so hard to accept? No, she's never taken swimming lessons because she did not feel comfortable around large bodies of water. Her brother had pushed her into a pool when they were younger and she nearly drowned. She's since forgiven him and his childish antics, but she never did care for water. She shook her head in reply, letting the braids in the front of her hair swing back and forth."But you have arms and stuff. Doesn't it come natural for you humans?" Julie gave the Digimon a hard look. "You're the one to talk. You don't even have arms or legs..." she mumbled as she slipped off a boot from her leg."I can still swim! Which says a lot coming from someone who does!" The teenager gave a slight nod in agreement. She wasn't a great excuse for a human, she knew that. She didn't swim, didn't like confrontation, didn't care for social interactions either. For most of her life she never view herself as 'typical' or 'normal', and she was okay with that. It felt strange being told that from a digital monsters with no arms or legs who still mastered swimming......Or bobbing, more like. Her blue eyes watched the white, fuzzy Yukimibotamon float along the small current the lake provided. Julie finally took off her leggings and slowly dipped them into the cool water. feel the light shining in the dark of the night | The Exalakes was a rather peaceful and pretty place, so Katsuo had gone there to relax and get some swimming done. He had packed plenty of lunch, taken his swimming shorts and was all ready to enjoy his time. He of course got to the lakes and went in for a swim.
Everything would have been just perfectly fine if it hadn't been for the rather mischievous, random Gomamon who had grabbed Katsuo's digivice. The little shit had then gone to the lake and just let the device sink into the bottom of the lake.
So, having to spend over 30 minutes diving and looking for his digivice, he finally found the thing and returned to the surface, breathing in as much air as possible. Keeping himself up in the surface of the lake with his legs alone, Katsuo looked to the direction where his things were and noticed that there was a girl there, with some white puff ball of a Digimon.
Swimming towards them and his things, Katsuo soon enough had gotten to dry land, wearing white swimming shorts that had red colored edges and that alone. With his hair being a bit of a mess from all that diving, the young man moved his bang out of his with his right hand, looking at the girl and the Digimon.
"Hi. Pretty day, isn't it?" He greeted the pair in English, as it was a language that most could understand at least on some level. A small smile appeared on his face and he went ahead to walk up to his things, grabbing a towel and started drying up his body, starting from his hair of course.

◄ WHEN SHE WAS JUST A GIRL, SHE EXPECTED THE WORLD She was relaxing, or she was trying to relax, when a voice brought her out of her thoughts. She gasped in surprise despite his calm tone because she thought she was alone with her Digimon. He announced a greeting and asked if she thought it was a pretty day. Her eyes looked heavenward and she nodded. "I-it is a pretty day, yes." She was still a little uneasy with this stranger who appeared out of the deep. Was he some sort of merman? Julie felt she and Grace were out there for quite some time, or maybe it was the minutes acting like hours again. She watched as he got out of the water and walked to his things nearby. Huh. She hadn't noticed them before now and she looked back from the blissfully unaware digimon back to the mysterious boy. " So um," she said as she slipped her legs out of the lake. " I guess since you were here we should be leaving... or at least relocating..." Not that she didn't mind sharing the space. He was here first and it was her fault she didn't see his things before they staked their claim for this particularly shady spot... ...Not to mention she was uncomfortable being around a shirtless boy not her brother. feel the light shining in the dark of the night | Katsuo was done drying himself, so he tossed the towel to the side and dug up his trusty folding comb and a small jar of hair gel, while still listening to the girl. She did seem a bit awkward, but had this nice vibe to her.
"No need to do that. It's not like I own the lake or made a reservation." He chuckled to the girls proposal of leaving just because Katsuo was already there, while working on fixing his hair.
"Hell, I've been pretty lacking in company, so I'd probably even prefer if you'd stay around." He continued. The young man indeed had been pretty much spending all of his time alone lately, so even the smallest of company was appreciated.
With his hair back in its best form and Katsuo deeming he was satisfied with his work, he stood up and walked up to the girl, finally noticing the about three inch height between them. Also that the girl was rather cute, but that's beside the point.
"Katsuo Ogasawara, Japanese sophomore in high school. You can just go ahead and call me Oga if that makes easier." Katsuo introduced himself with a casual smile, giving off a rather feel to him. He continued by offering his hand for a handshake.
"It's nice to meet you and your assumed partner, that's floating by there."

◄ WHEN SHE WAS JUST A GIRL, SHE EXPECTED THE WORLD That was a relief to hear. Julie did not truly want to leave: She was just being her polite self. She could understand of the boy wanted his space, yet barely understood that he did not mind the shared space. Maybe it was because she was thinking from her own mindset. Being the loner that she was, she craved belonging to her own personal bubble and grew uncomfortable when that bubble was infiltrated. Grace slowly made her appearance back towards the both of them and shook out her fur, which was quite impressive to Julie because she had no arms or legs. "Who's this human?" she asked curiously as she eyed him up and down. Just on time he introduced himself and she nodded politely back. "I'm Juliette Rhydderch, or Julie for short. It's nice to meet you." Grace jumped in and introduced herself as well. "I'm Grace... with no fancy second name, yet. And yes I'm her partner, the greatest you will ever see," she said with a firm nod. Julie smiled and shook her head at her partner. Holding long conversations wasn't her forte, so Julie tried to scrummage up something to say to Oga. "How long have you been here, in this world?" It wasn't much, but it was a start.
