CARD INFO Here at Digimon: Exodus we allow the use of specialised Digimon Cards, which can be purchased in booster packs from the Aurora Card Hall from Borealis City. These will be rolled by staff and you can then add them to a Digicard Deck in your Digivice Threads.
The card system is very simple. For some groundwork, you are allowed to use only 5 cards per thread maximum, and the same card cannot be swiped more than once. You must have either a D-Power or a Card Reader (purchasable in the Terabyte Mall) to use them. Scanning cards will take up AP, just like using attacks or dodging. All cards can be scanned for 1 AP, but you can only use a max of 2 cards per turn. There are four types of cards:
- Attack - Equipment - Plugin - Special
Attack cards will allow your Digimon to instantaneously use another Digimon's attack once and only once. Majority of these deal damage, but some have extra effects. For Solo Digimon and Spirit Wielders, using scanning the card and attacking costs 1AP, while tamers and their partners both must use 1AP. Attack cards are identifiable by they having both an elemental type and a attack type written before the effect.
Equipment cards assist your Digimon by giving them valuable equipment, such as weapons or armor. These equipment functionally give them a way to bolster their stats, such as increasing their OFF for when they use their basic attacks; or offering them extra DEF. Keep in mind however that you must be sensible with how you use these cards and the equipment. In order to take advantage of ANY of the bonuses these cards offer, you must be using them in some way in post. At any time, you can discard the equipment; but you will lose the benefits. It only costs 1 AP for a Tamer to scan the card in, their partner not having to spend any.
Plugin cards are special cards that while do not cause damage on their own usually, they assist the user in a variety of ways. Whether by increasing the user's power or summoning valuable allies, Plugin cards are some of the most versatile cards. It only costs 1 AP for a Tamer to scan the card in, their partner not having to spend any.
- Summon
Generally a subtype of Plugin card, these have the ability to summon Digimon to assist you! These are basically NPCs you can control for the brief time they are out. However, you should note that NPCs have set stats based off their level and can only use basic attacks and or very vanilla versions of their normal attacks; like a basic attack using SPC. Summonable NPCs are generally weaker than any PC or staff-controlled NPC.

Special cards vary entirely; some are based on the site plot's history (such as the Apocalypse and Olympian pack cards) and some are based on current events (such as the Resurgence Pack). Special cards come with their own descriptions, and are usually the most valuable and useful of the four types.
ABOUT CARD EFFICIENCY
Any Digimon Rookie level or up can take advantage of cards. However, not all Digimon can use cards at the same effectiveness. This is where Card Efficiency levels come into play.
Nearly all cards use Card Efficiency levels to determine how much benefit they reap. This stat is represented by (*)s, your current form's level determining how many (*)s your Digimon has.

For example an Agumon with a tamer is battling against another tamer with a Garurumon. Their stats are as follow:
Agumon FIRE HP 50/50 OFF: 10 SPC: 5 DEF: 5 AGI: 5
Garurumon WATER HP 100/100 OFF: 15 SPC: 5 DEF: 10 AGI: 15
The Agumon's tamer realizes they are in a disadvantage, but luckily has cards! They pull out the following card and scan it
64. Argomon's Imprisonment (WOOD PHYSICAL 8DMG times *)
Agumon is Rookie level and has 10 OFF. According to the card, this would mean that its base damage is 8 + 10 equaling 18DMG! Because Argomon's Imprisonment is WOOD type, having an advantage against Garurumon's WATER type, its doubling the damage. Against Garurumon's 10 DEF, Garurumon chooses not to dodge and takes a total of 26 damage! A sizable blow that would not have been possible if Agumon's tamer did not have cards!
But wait, Garurumon's tamer reveals they also had cards, they pulling one of their own!
140. Manbomon's Balloon Bomb (WATER SPECIAL 9DMG times *, lowers the user's DEF by 2 times * for a post)
Garurumon is Champion level and has 5SPC. Because Garurumon has 2 (*) compared to Agumon's 1, according to the card; the base damage is 18 + 5 equaling 23DMG! Because Mambomon's Balloon Bomb is WATER type, having an advantage against Agumon's FIRE type, its doubling the damage. Agumon tries to dodge, but fails; against Agumon's 5 DEF, he takes a nasty 41 damage! Garurumon does lose 4 DEF for a post due to the side-effect of the card, but not a terribly big problem when your opponent is already near defeat!
FAQs:
Q: Can I use cards on my Tamer/human character? A: Nope. Cards will only work on Digimon.
Q: Can I use cards as a solo Digimon/Spirit User? A: Yep! Just make sure you buy a card reader from Terabyte Mall first.
Q: Where do I find the description for these attacks? A: Digimon Wiki, Wikimon, or DMA are all quite good -- but we recognise a lot of attacks don't have canon descriptions. For the most part, you're given some creative license over them; the attacks tend to be fairly self-explanatory. If you're really confused, ask a staff member. You may not however add your own individual parameters or specific non-generic effects (such as stuns or power boosts) to cards rolled for you by staff. The effects on the card are what they offer.
Q: Can I only use 5 cards per thread? A: Yes, but there are ways to increase this limit.
Q: Does using cards make me more powerful, like in Tamers? A: Maybe. Cards primary purpose is to give you more options from a tactical perspective. While commons are generally weaker than Super Rare or Ultra Rares, you may find some are still very excellent based on the situation. Experiment!
Q: Can the same card be used twice in a thread. A: Not unless you have two separate copies of it, no.

APOCALYPSE PACK
