Tread Lightly [Faust]

[Bass...?]

Agis felt worn out.

The Clockmon who wasn't exactly renowned for feeling stress on his joints legitimately felt tired. He had gotten through with executing each and every one of his tamer's orders to him with as much efficiency as could be afforded, yet...Why did he feel so tired? As the two walked the Lost Highway, the Clockmon clanking on ahead of his tamer to scout for enemies. Why had they descended into this place? What was possibly here?

"...Aizawa." He began, as he stopped suddenly. The mechanical Digimon turned around to face his tamer, who had a stolid expression in her eye. "Why did we fall down this dark path? Why did we go into the Dark Area? There is no forgetting what's from here, no reprieve. Only devils. Monsters. Demons."

The Clockmon narrowed his eyes at the still silent girl, who began to pad over to the end of the highway. "...I was going to stop anyway. Give this place a final lookover before we exit. Hopefully permanently..." She replied, as she sat down. "...Why do you question me so much now? I thought you vowed to stand by me. To protect me, back in Terabyte."

Faust

Edward had been eyeing the girl and her clockmon as they were walking down the lost highway. There were only a two kinds of people who walked down that road. One were members of the SS which she didn't look to be, the others were lost souls that wandered into the wrong area and right now she looked like the latter. This gave him a devilsh idea, slowly he started to decend from up on high as the ArcAngemon that he was and smiled at her, him parting the clouds created a beam of light that shined down.

“You look lost young tamer, do you require help?” He held a soft smile on his face as he held his battle staff in one hand. His feet touched the ground of the highway before he extened out his hand to her. “I can help you, I can help you become stronger if you need to be.”

[Bass...?]

And as Naoko watched the Dark Area, something descended. A holy Digimon. Both Naoko and Agis knew that a holy Digimon in the Dark Area was either false, or really, really bored with their lives. She looked lost.

...She was far from lost. "Agis. We can talk later...Stronger, you say? And by what methods?" The girl asked, standing up on her own. Well, not really but she did take the Angemon's hand. Agis meanwhile trained his cannon-arm on the angel. Subtly. But surely. No angel would be harming his tamer today. Nothing would be.

"Identify yourself, designate. Lest I open fire."

Agis said, as Naoko looked to him. "Hold. Hear the man out, at least." She commanded. The Clockmon seemed to at least obey her, stepping back and lowering the cannon.

Faust

He chuckled at the colckmon's atempt to scare him with the canon arm he had raised at him. “I can offer you power that can help you become a better tamer, make you stronger, strong enough to control your rather rude digimon. All you need to do is to trust me.” He kept his innocent smile across his face as he waited for to say something about his offer. If she took it, it would be the start to her path on becoming a member of the SS if not, well then there were other ways to persuade someone like her. Maybe destroying her digimon and forcing her to become a test subject would work in their favor after all they had so many plans and so little willing subjects.

[Bass...?]

"Retort: I am not rude. I am simply attempting to look out for my tamer. Meatbag." Agis responded, the suspicion he had of this supposed heavenly figure only growing larger by the second. "He's right. He responds to me and only me, but he often tries his best to look out for me." However, the machine's growing worries were lessened by Naoko's own hesitance. The one-eyed teenager's lips curled into a frown.

"I may have not had TV for a few months but I still have seen enough to know that there's obviously some form of catch to this and you're not mentioning it. How do I know this isn't some...scheme to kill me or whatever?" She went on, a hand going to her digivice and a small box clipped to her waist. "Or...did I hit that right on the nose, Mr. Angel? Furthermore, what do I even get if I do trust you?"

What was stopping her from walking away, and using her cards to try her luck at assimilation? Sheer curiosity. She wanted to know where and what this power was.

[Faust]

Again he had to laugh at the two of them. “Oh you will get power, but the cost might be a bit high, though if you think you're going to scare me with your digivice and cards you will regret that.” Before he said anything else he shined out in a bright light and transformed into Omenmon before her, now instead of being an angel he was a golden dragon that towered over her and her clockmon. His hand went down to grab the female tamer in his hands to keep her safe from what was about to happen. He opened his mouth up and aimed it down the road. From his mouth a blast of energy spewed out and vaporized a large chunk of the road. He then closed it and spoke in a booming voice. “This power, the power to become stronger I can train you make you better, but you would have to give up your morality for it.”

[Bass...?]

Agis wasn't even fazed by Omenmon destroying the road. "...Good grief. That was rather...Unnecessary. Like throwing a meteor to crush an ant, wouldn't you say?" Machines weren't allowed to feel fear. "Also, to be fair, she has like...Three weapon cards. I think one of them is VictoryGreymon's. Ask her about it, I'm unsure."

Naoko yelped as she was grasped and lifted up by the metallic dragon, and luckily she was safe from the boom. So was Agis. Kinda. He turned around to look at the aftermath of that explosion and both Faust and Naoko could see...His lovely metallic backside was colored a sooty black from that. Funny as that was...

"...The power to gain strength? Strength like that could really be useful..." "...Useful for me, too." To say she had a sense of morality at this point, though...That's really pushing it. "...Well? Go on. You at least have my ear. And my acceptance."

[Faust]

A devilish grin form on his face as she said that he had her ear and acceptance. From there he used his other hand to wrap around the clockmon and grab it tight before flying up into the air. “I will show you the forbidden way to gain power, however you might not like it.” He chuckled as he was flying out of the dark zone and back into the light, from up above he saw his target a small village of Nyaromon. With a smile on his face he landed right on the edge of the village border and placed the two of them down. “Go kill and absorb every single last bit of data from those Nyaromon.” This wasn't going to make them that much stronger, but it was a test a test to she if she was willing to do something unspeakable in order to gain power, if not then maybe he would have to try other methods.

[Bass...?]

Agis was grabbed and whisked away by the golden dragon, though he seemed a bit...Off. Literally. His eyes seemed to have gone away, leaving a motionless and eyeless Clockmon to be taken wherever, be it hell itself or a village of innocent Nyaromon.

Naoko on the other hand, being human, did not have to shut herself down on occasion. She glanced up at Omenmon as he set them both down at the foot of the village, Agis still being powered down. "...I thought this would be a -slight- bit challenging. But...Whatever you say...I mean, Agis does like it when I tell him to legitimately kill things, it looks."

And upon two certain words being mentioned, the Clockmon sprang to life again, though much more stiff and robotic. "Initializing...Agis01.exe has been loaded."

"...Wait, what." Naoko found herself saying that for the first time in a while. Normally whenever something like this happened, Agis02 was what was booted up. Not...01. Whatever that was. The Clockmon set his gaze on Naoko and very literally only Naoko. "Orders." He inquired.

"...Weren't listening? Absorb the village. All of it. Then we can get stronger."

And almost immediately, Agis turned, pointed his cannon-arm at the village, and started firing while walking ever closer.

Naoko felt sick. Somewhat.

[Stigmata]

WICKED LIGHT

The small village of In-Training Digimon had been for the most unconcerned with outside affairs all their lives despite being situated in the entrance of the Dark Area, having been able to live in comfort for the most part. Beyond the occasional stray wild Digimon; they never had been in a situation that would even come close to a threat.

The village was made out of small clay homes embedded in the ground that their momma made for them, large enough for several In-Trainings to live in, but small enough that nothing but a Fresh level or an In-Training could enter. Several of the cat-like Lesser Digimon had been busy playing amongst themselves, chasing one another or playing with various cat-toys that were strewn around the sanctuary. To them, it was the perfect paradise.

As the In-Trainings played with one another, their play session was put on hold as something seemed to come overhead, descending nearby. The Digimon in question was a humanoid dragon Digimon decked out in glistening-gold armor; something that reminded many of the baby Digimon of their caretaker. Carrying a human girl and a Digimon that resembled a yellow-red Hagurumon; several of the Nyaromon could not help but grow curious, stopping to stare at the newcomers. When the Solarmon Digivolved into a orange-hooded Clockmon, not a single one of the kittens had expected what happened next.

The Machine Digimon had let loose gunfire upon the mass of Nyaromon, any shots that hit their marking executing the In-Training Digimon into small bursts of data; barely even worth anything. Needless to say, those that had just witnessed this brutal attack immediately began to panic; rushing into the various stone homes while desperately calling out for their momma.

Almost as soon as the attack began, a powerful force could be felt from across the distance. There was a good reason as to why this village has been able to live in peace this whole time in such a hostile environment. Even wild Digimon  who lived locally knew best to leave the village alone, less they face the wrath of the extremely powerful caretaker who has done her best to keep this village alive for years... and she was now angered.

The Nyaromon village is being attacked! Best be careful... Something knows something has gone wrong!

Bass...? Faust

PHARAOH LEAP.

[Faust]

He smiled at the fact that she had listened to him and what he wanted her to do. He watched as her clockmon slaughtered the poor naymons without care or without mercy. It seemed as if her digimon was right for the SS, her however it still seemed as if she had some humanity left in her and he had to break that to get her to be ready. He picked her up with his claw and smiled as he spoke to her. “Listen to that, listen to those sounds and remember, those are the sounds that the weak make. Those are the sounds of the fallen and the damned. In this world strength is all that matters and now you will be part of that. This was only the first step in making sure that you were ready for power. If you pass my tests I will introduce you to those who can help you embrace the darkness and embrace real power.” He let out a bellowing chuckle as he felt the presence of something powerful coming towards them. He wasn't expecting something to be protecting these digimon, but this might make for a nice little snack for him call it an added benefit to taking on a new student.

[Bass...?]

Agis continued firing stray shots into the crowd, only stopping the MOMENT he picked up the power of the guardian. With that, he lowered his cannon...And turned to the other two. "Deceit has been detected." Agis02 booted up, it looks. Given how he has will again.

"What. Did. You. Make. Me. DO?!" He barked. "ANSWER ME." Agis' voice became less and less like a normal digimon and more like a hissing and sputtering machine as his anger rose.

Naoko meanwhile was a fool, believing in this stupid jogressing golden dragon, he thought.

After all. He didn't want to know whatever the hell that power he was detecting was. Naoko meanwhile tilted her head. UNLIKE AGIS, she couldn't detect insane amounts of power. "...While I appreciate the praise in killing some kittens and all..." She looked down at her partner. "...Something's wrong enough that even Agis is pissed. More so than usual."

The Clockmon glanced back towards the distance.

[Stigmata]

WICKED LIGHT

The Nyaromon who had managed to flee into their small stone homes were quivering inside, frightened by the two strangers... especially the Clockmon, who suddenly seemed to stop attacking; turning his wrath towards his supposed ally. None of the In-Trainings knew exactly what they were saying... just that these people wanted to hurt them.

Agis's senses were not wrong to cause him panic. The force was drawing ever closer, it's power discernable as at least an Ultimate level... a top-tier one at that. Suddenly, both the Omenmon and Clockmon would feel a disturbance around them... their bodies and the area around them seeming to flicker.

"Dot Matrix."

If they did not immediately take the hint that something was array and get out of the way, both would find their bodies brutally cut and or being torn apart by an invisible force; this force disintegrating the ground around them into visible 0s and 1s while leaving the main village ground unscathed. Whomever was the user of said attack was nowhere near in sight.

A voice called out for them; it ringing in their heads disorientingly, it being both distinctly calm and feminine. "What could bring a tamer and a spirit wielder so low that they are willing to murder innocent youth? For this, all three of you will perish. Speak your last words." The voice would softly say; and while she never rose her voice at them... you could tell that she was seething behind her dissonant serenity.

The caretaker is nowhere in sight, but has attacked Agis and Edward with Dot Matrix! (Cooldown: 4 Posts)

Should they not quickly get out of the way, they will find their bodies be viciously torn apart into 0s and 1s, causing heavy damage while restoring the user's health by half the amount done. Bass...? Faust

PHARAOH LEAP.

He felt it there was something coming towards them, he couldn't see it just yet, but he knew he had to act. Noako was still in one of his hands, but her digimon was somewhat in the village. There was only one way to avoid what was coming and that would require him to go into the village. He kicked off the ground and dashed into the village crushing homes with each step, his speed boosted by him using his wings to flap backwards on the initial step. His hand was extended out to grab at the clockmon, but he wasn't going to cushion the blow as his hand slammed into the clockmon picking him up and dragging him away from the attack.

Edward would only stop running as he was at the end of the village and safely away from any sort of attacks that would come his way. He heard the voice and chuckled, this thing cared about the village and whatever was left of the innocent digimon inside of it. With his booming voice he called out to the unknown digimon seeing that the attack that would of hit them had decimated and digitized where they had been. “ Come out from hiding you coward, don't you know this is survival of the strongest in the digital world the weak have no right to live without paying tribute to the strong.” He grinned knowing that there was a strong digimon around and that he would have a fight on his hands.

(Passive barrier is in effect still. Current attack power 105% boosted 30% from passive, 50% boosted attack against higher levels due to SS trait, 25% boost to non physical attacks due to SS trait)

[Bass...?]

"Fools, FOOLS THE BOTH OF YOU!" Agis continued to bark and wave his hammer at the two, until...

"Dot Matrix."

"Dot wha-" Agis was quickly silenced by the attack, and was basically engulfed by it, suffering a good deal of damage before he was able to escape it. Oh. Oh man...At least he had his...Wait, where was his other clock-arm?

...Where he last was, it lay in shreds. "...Oh, goddamn it." He replied as he was carried away by Omenmon. He had the distinct feeling they were all in for a bad time. And Naoko herself? She wanted out of this already. "...You know. I actually want to live. SO SHOULDN'T YOU PUT ME DOWN AWAY FROM THIS?" She shouted.

...This dragon was batshit insane. "YOU HEARD HER, DRAGON. PUT HER DOWN."
