Call me a sinner The sky was a nice bright blue with white clouds drifting lazily through it. Dark specs in the distance marred the sky in a circling pattern. Ominous to be sure.
They had been there the past few weeks. Those specs where actually a flock of birdramon and their leader saberdramon. For so reason they have taken to terrorizing the local prariemon.
Dantelion frowned as he watched them. They had managed to shoo them away a few times. Yet, they were not strong enough to prove a point. The flock kept coming back. It was more than a little worrisome.
He wouldn't have minded if they simply ate the prariemon. Such would it be in nature he guessed but they didn't. Instead they simply picked them up and dropped them obviously finding some sick humor in it.
He posted a request for help the last time he was in town. He could only hope someone would read it. If they managed to take down the saberdramon he was certain the rest of the flock would leave.
Question was would they stay away. He couldn't be sure. He had already started on his plan. He had started by taking vines from the jungle. It was easy to make nets once he got it down. Even though the birds were made of fire he was pretty sure the slimy coating on the vines would prevent them from burning too quickly.
Honestly though he had no idea how the prariemon could throw the nets at the birds to ground them. With each solution came a dilema he supposed. He looked to his partner who looked ready to run off into the field and fight those birds just the same.
Theos disliked being idle at a time like this. He had become real good friends with the prariemon. He hated being to weak to protect them. He hoped they could do something and soon. | Digimon:○ ABILITY - Hard Body - Its body hardens in extreme temperatures. ○ ATTACK - Rock Devour - Uses its sharp teeth to crush foes. No cool down. "It's good to see you back to your old self boss," Sable said as the two appeared in the middle of the plains. This was it, wasn't it? The place where those Birdramon were tormenting those prariemon? Normally, Hyde wouldn't have bothered with something like this. If those prariemon couldn't handle themselves, the get the heck out. The digital world, from his many experiences, had taught him it was not a nice and safe place, despite what others had thought.
However, recent events have changed his perception on that. These birds weren't just attacking them, they were outright tormenting them, teasing them and mocking them, just because they couldn't fight back. Needless to say, this hit way to close to home for Hyde, who had recently been on the receiving end of such treatment. Hyde was now in the mood to bust some heads, and these buzzards had just provided the opportunity.
As he approached towards the spot, he would see see a young man with blue hair with a digimon he could only assume was his partner. Hyde quietly approached the pair. "You the guy who posted up the request?" he asked.

Bright day outside today... shame it was going to be wasted on pest control. Admittingly, Angeli had a craving for blood... and frankly, requests like this were often a suitable way to curb that hunger. Technically, the request was to drive away the offending bird Digimon, but Angeli saw promise into slaughtering a few as a statement towards the rest. Maybe not everyone had the balls to do such a thing, but it was no less a viable option.
Eventually, she managed to spot two figures... particularly a human and a goat-like Digimon, one that admittingly she had never seen before. Regardless, their appearances matched the description on the request, so this must have been that Dante fellow. On second glance, she caught sight of Hyde and his PawnChessmon... good to see he at least had made a recovery. The Chromiamon swiftly walked towards them, and after gaining their attention, bow courteously. "Afternoon. You're the tamer who put up the request, hmm?" She'd ask, noticing that he was fiddling with some type of net made of vines, something that while not a terrible idea, was a bit too weak for this particular job. "No no... this won't do. If you are planning to use this against those Birdramon, I doubt it will hold up. These aren't Rookie level Digimon you know." She would say, offering some personal insight to the matter. "If we had perhaps some kind of metal cable, it may be feasible... but just barely."
Angeli glanced up in the sky, hoping that a Birdramon does not go and mistake her for one of the Prairiemon being menaced right now. While she had no doubt she could take one or two Birdramon, the fact that she was uncertain on the number did offer some discomfort. "How many Birdramon are we dealing here beyond the leader? 2? 3? Numbers are important to know." She would idly ask, glancing behind her to see if anyone was coming along. "Others are coming, right? Regardless of solution, we need as much manpower as we can get."

Helping someone else didn’t seem like such a terrible waste of time, Basil thought. He’d seen a posting on the request board, someone needed help taking down some Digimon harassing a poor location in the Highlands. Considering he’d been there already, the dragon was somewhat surprised that he didn’t see or hear about any of it. With a shrug, he’d already accepted it and was on his way over. In the time since acquiring his Adult form, Basil found his new form much easier when it came to self-transport. As such, whoever was waiting for him in the Highlands would see a massive, quadruped dragon stomping along through the grass land, possibly even flying at the speed he was going. By the time Basil started to arrive in the location specified on the request.
“Oh jeez, those are some bigguns.” Basil let out a low whistle as he arrived into the area. The wide, luscious grasslands that he normally saw were also filled to the brim with several holes. Probably due to the Prairiemon that occupied the area. He could see a few specks in the air far away, which were probably the issue at hand. They didn’t seem that much trouble. At the very least, he could go up there and tackle them down himself. The numbers however, didn’t seem to be in Basil’s favor. The enormous, two story dragon stared down at the blue haired human and his partner, alongside the various company. He noted another black haired human along with two other Digimon. One of them was a tiny chess looking thing, one of them had a massive rock on their head. Pretty varied, he figured.
“So I’m guessin one of you guys is that made the mission or something?" Basil rumbled. "Seems like I'm kinda late, my bad." he apologized. With a grunt, he glanced at the net made of vines off to the side that one of them was fiddling with.
"Um, while I don't think that'll work, I think I can give a hand with that. Looks kinda shoddy, sorry."

Call me a sinner "Hello," He said as each person turned up. It seemed like a pretty decent group. He tossed the net aside it was mainly a back-up plan if anything since neither him or his digimon could fly.
"I'm Dantelion and this is Theos. It is nice to meet you all. There is roughly a flock of ten birdramon and one saberdramon. The saberdramon seems to be their leader. Honestly, I think taking down just the leader would make the others disperse." Dantelion looked at them uncertainly. He wasn't exactly leader material. "Unless you want to try and take them all."
"I say just beat them up enough they will think twice about coming back." Theos responded. He gave a slight back and forth hop signifying he was ready.
"Two to one isn't exactly good odds." Dantelion responded with pursed lips. "I've already spoken with the prariemon. They are willing to act as bait to break the flock apart. That is if we go that route."
"Sorry, I'm not good at this." Dantelion said sheepishly. He had begun spewing plans without thinking. He'd rather have the group decide. This probably wasn't his best impression. Yet, around so many others it made him uncomfortable. | Digimon:○ ABILITY - Hard Body - Its body hardens in extreme temperatures. ○ ATTACK - Rock Devour - Uses its sharp teeth to crush foes. As everyone seemed to settle in, waiting for the last individual to get here, said individual turned out to much larger than any of them, he being some type of arbor eastern dragon Digimon, the size of a two story building. "That isn't in anyway suspicious." She would quietly, but sarcastically comment towards the building-sized dragon Digimon. He did stick out like a sore thumb, but hopefully his size would at least cause some of the Birdramon to back off while they are planning. Looks like everyone who offered to help were here... and admittingly, Angeli at least could see a resemblance to a working team right here, right now. "So that is everyone it seems... Yes, this should do nicely."
Angeli waited patiently as Dante began to rattle out details and plans for this endeavor, attempting to think about what would be ahead. So they were outnumbered to about 3 to 1, though they had the chance to split them up. A wise idea if it meant they would not get swarmed by flaming bird Digimon. "No, I think splitting them up will do us much better. Fighting a few at a time is a much safer option, as else we could get swarmed." She took a moment to pause, debating on the details herself. "A safe bet would be to try and see if we can get the Prairiemon to split up into three groups, hopefully enough to cause the flock to split up accordingly. We find the Saberdramon, kill it and any stragglers, and hopefully then the flock will fold their cards. As ugly as it may sound, the more brutal a death, the better. We want to ensure that they don't come back."
While the blue-haired young man did give out some solid plans, he appeared to have a bit of doubt in himself... something that amused Angeli. Honestly was kinda cute actually. Angeli at the very least saw potential in him, he'd just need to be more confident. "It is alright dear, you are doing fine. No one is perfect, we can only strive to be perfect." She glanced back to the Hyde and the drake Digimon, nodding to herself slightly. Flight would be a valuable asset in this operation, so figuring out who can do what would be valuable. "Who else can fly beyond our draconian companion here? If need be, he could perhaps offer a ride for the rest of us or attempt to ground any of our targets for easier assault."
Admittingly, she could fly herself... but that did resort to her having to use her less... refined form. Chaigedimon would have been a solid pick for fighting against Birdramon, but it still meant that her control over herself would be limited, plus having a limited duration to how long she can sustain the form. "I can fly, but only with the use of my Dark Digivolution. Obviously this has disadvantages, as I will have difficulty stopping myself from injuring any of you in that form. As such, I suggest you all try and keep distance from me, at least until I can land and degenerate." She did admit, she wanted to keep Chaigedimon as a sort of last resort... if she had to degenerate, she'd be out of commission until she could rest up some. "If need be, I will use it, but I will attempt to resort to sticking to my regular Champion form if I can. Dark Digivolution is best used to gurantee an end to a fight, and I am not sure we can end this conflict in time for that."

Hyde listened quietly as Dante explained the situation, as well as his plan. Take out the leader, and the rest would scatter. The idea had merit, but would it really work? Bidramon and Saberdramon were both champion level digimon. Who's to say one of the others wouldn't take over when the Saberdramon goes down? The best bet would be to beat a good number of them down, give the rest of the flock the hint at what would happen if they kept it up. The others seemed to agree with a divide and conquer strategy as well. That made sense. There were a good dozen of the birds, and only four of them. No sense in getting swarmed.
When the question came up of flight, Hyde shook his head. "Nah, I don't have any flight abilities, but I've got something just as good." His digivice glowed and a bright light engulfed Sable. Hyde remained quiet as the Pawn Chessmon changed into her champion form, Knight Chessmon. "Sable here's got a heck of a jump to her. Plus, if needed, we can force those damn buzzards down to the ground. Then the real stomping can begin." Hyde gave a small smirk. "So, when do we begin the ass kicking?"

“It’s fine, I wasn’t aiming to sound mean or anything like that.” Basil’s voice boomed through the tiny vicinity. The little blue haired guy seemed pretty disappointed. The large arbor dragon figured he must have cared a lot more about the little Digimon far more than he assumed at the start. It made sense; otherwise the mission wouldn’t have existed at all. Basil simply sat his butt down, if only to make his looming presence a tad smaller, even though he still cast a heck of a shadow. Occasionally, he’d stare up at the flock of Birdramon and the one black bird in the distance if only to keep an eye on them. He really didn’t want to risk getting attacked out of nowhere.
At the mention of splitting up the birds to take them on short sections, Basil nodded. “Makes sense. I’m kind of a big target anyways, but I can probably make sure their focus is on one thing.” He interjected. “Though I think one that can’t fly is fine, least like that, they have all their eyes in the air and none towards the little buggers or the grounded guy.” Hopefully, the suggestion made sense. If any of them had a good reach, flying didn’t matter all that much. Though one thing did catch the dragon’s attention. At this point, he was very clearly staring at the rock creature after she mentioned “Dark Evolution” or something like that. Why did that not sound like a good idea to him? Maybe it was the name of it.
Before he could make a comment, the other black haired human and his partner seemed okay on the idea. In a quick flash of light, a giant horse creature with a spear took the place of the chess creature. It wasn’t terribly tall compared to Basil, but it still forced him to edge back a bit lest he got stabbed by the spear.
“Okay…Guess we’re all good then.”

Call me a sinner Dantelion didn't like the sound of the dark evolution. They had enough trouble as was. They didn't need any more. Though he guessed as a last resort it could be used.
"I guess we can split it them Go with two pairs. One flying and one grounded. Theos can fly with his armor evolution." Dantelion said. "One group could focus on preventing the flock from rejoining. The other focusing on the Saberdramon." Dantelion said thinking as he went.
"Or we could all just stick together and try knocking him down as fast as possible..." Dantelion suggested. In truth he had no idea which would be better. So long as the end result was the same it didn't really matter to him.
Theos tail wagged at the mention of armor evolution. it was the only evolution he had and in truth he was only happier knowing he could be of help in the skies.
"Either way we can do this." Theos said hopping side to side slightly.
"Right," Dantelion said looking to Theos. Though concern was on his face."I'll remain on the ground." Dantelion said and looked to a prariemon who seemed to have watched the whole thing. Sneaky buggers; he held up three fingers and the prariemon disappeared down a hole.
"They'll act as the bait. So i guess whenever you lot are ready." Dantelion said and reached into his pocket pulling out his digivice.
"Armor Digivolve too.." Theos said. "Maildramon."

Angeli felt the piercing stares of two of her comrades when she mentioned her ability to Dark Digivolve, the feeling of disapproval amongst them. "What? It's a valid form of Digivolution. Do not discredit it entirely. I do not intend to go berserk just yet. Only if we get into bad situation will I use it." The carbuncle Digimon would quickly retort, attempting to justify the dark ability. Perhaps it was considered a bit of a risky form of Digivolution by most individuals, but it was a tool that she did prize greatly. This was her edge over others, and she intended to use it however she can. She gazed at the Red Ring that was embedded on her fing, knowing that above all, it would be the thing that leads her to glory.
From what she could tell, it appeared she was the least mobile out of the Digimon here, 2/4 able to fly and a third at least capable of jumping a hefty distance. Not planning to be out done so soon, Angeli allowed herself to be enveloped by light and data, her form doubling in size as she Digivolved into Zirconiamon, a more quadrupedal stance of her Rookie form. "Then I'll stay to the ground and offer support. If things go bad, I'll change that plan and engage directly. Just give me a wide berth when I do so." The newly-evolved Champion level would warn, she gazing high above at the sky, seeing the small specks floating in it.
She almost wished they would start soon. Her hunger for data was starting to prick at her again.

Hyde remained quiet as they plotted out their strategy. Two in the air, two on the ground. The digimon, Angeli, had suggested dark digivolution, but it seemed to be quickly shot down. Not that it mattered to ahyde. At the moment,Che was pulling himself onto Sable's back and looking skyward, seeing the buzzards flying overhead. All of them orange, with the exception of one of them. Black as night, it stood out. The birds weren't moving to attack yet, not while they party was down there. No, those cowardly birds won't take the bait if they knew they were there.
"If you guys are ready," Hyde spoke up, "We'd better find some place to hide, those damn birds aren't going to come down if we're standing around here, are we?" Thankfully, there were plenty of rocky outcroppings for them to hide under, at least hide from the birds while they were that high up. Without even wait, Hyde slowly made his way towards one, slipping under the shade and out of sight to the birds above.

Well, it seemed like they had a haphazard plan. After the other folks evolved, they had an idea, but it wasn’t necessarily one they all agreed on. Basil frowned, scratching his mane with a fore paw as he stared back up at the flock of birds in the sky. This was getting a bit too annoying for his own good. Once everyone evolved, Basil hadn’t bothered looking down. Most of the plan involved using the little guys as bait, but that had a few holes. Considering that there was a wide open space and those birds weren’t stupid by the looks of it, it was gonna take a lot more to get them to fight.
Only solution seemed like was to poke them so that they came down here and take it from there. As everyone kept on discussing, Basil let out an attentive snort, hopefully to catch everyone’s attention.
“Okay, kind of tired of waiting. I’m just gonna get their attention in like, 5 seconds after I finish my next sentence. After that, we can split up and go on from there; I’ll keep the little guys safe as long as they hide.”
True to his word, five seconds after he finished his sentence, Basil slowly took up into the air in the direction of the flock of birds. He maintained a long distance, but planned to only catch their attention. As he flew higher, he prepped his tail back and hunched himself slightly. His mane would soon become jagged and crooked and with one circular turn, a wave of massive spikes would shoot out towards the crowd as Basil rebounded himself back towards the ground. Considering the time it took him to wind up, he hoped that everyone else scattered or took the air if they could. Planning was good and all, but sometimes it was better to take the offensive if only to get the other party started if they were gonna wait it out. If his Needle Storm hit, that was all the better.

Call me a sinner Dantelion didn't argue her point. it was indeed valid; just dangerous. He simply nodded and started towards a tree. He would simply hide behind it like a kid in hide and go seek. He looked behind him as he heard the dragon take off.
Dantelion watched as their moment of planning was gone. Despite the odds the emerald dragon had attacked them out right. He was pretty sure it was suicide more than bravery.
He looked to Theos though who looked ready himself. With a sigh he motioned him forward. Theos took to the air and came up behind the dragon.
"My armor is really strong. Allow me to buffer their attacks." Theos said flying ahead of him. His words were true. His armor was easily more durable than most.
He swooped in on the first of the flock with ease. His tail acting as a lance to hammer against the surprised and unexpecting bird. He would quickly increase altitude and continue going though. His goal to pierce the center of the flock. Not to fight every bird he met.
Dantelion walked through the grass. He watched their progress with hesitancy. He really wished Basil had waited. He doubted the baiting would work now.
The birds knew Theos. They had quarreled before in the skies. They had successively driven a few away from time to time. It hardly mattered their attacks on the flock only made matters worse for them. The flock constantly had been making it to where they couldn't train or sleep in some cases.
Dantelion seriously hoped that Theos didn't rely on his armor too much. Even with his defense he could only take so much. He made a request for a reason. Well, despite the emerald dragon's gusto, It appeared they were going to need more than just haphazardly throwing attacks in the air to get the attention of some of the flock. The Zirconiamon would sigh slightly as the Maildramon took flight as well. Somehow, she was starting to have doubts with this plan. As everyone else dispersed, the Bewitching Beast Digimon took cover within the wood alcoves, trailing behind Hyde and the KnightChessmon. While she could only hope that the other two Digimon would be able to get the attention of some of the flock, she did however notice off in the distance that one particular Birdramon had settled themself down on the ground, with what looked like a small stash of food it pilfered. The greedy thing seemed to have been completely unaware of anything going on in particular... A perfect oppurtunity for them to either dispatch the beast, or brutalize it enough that they could get information out of it. Maybe if it were willing to cooperate, she'd be willing to spare it's life... MAYBE. Eyeing Hyde and his partner, she motioned them to bird Digimon, conveying the message of a surprise attack. The more individual Birdramon they could slay, the easier this job would be for them as a whole. "Glimmer Ray."Unless Hyde hesitated, Angeli would allow the gems that adorned her body to glow, a series of small beams of light shining before being fired as a destructive ray at the unaware bird Digimon.
