PERSONALITY Adelaide is awkward and shy at best. She can become extremely anxious during social situations, especially those that put her in a decision-making situation. She may fumble over her words, stating very obvious things, or just not speaking at all. At first, people may perceive Addi as cold and aloof, but this is because she is introverted, so she tends to watch people before making a move such as greeting or striking up a conversation. However, as she slowly-very slowly-begins to warm up to you, she may become attached-very overattached-and become very loyal-very, very loyal. Also, Addi, being young and impressionable at her age, isn't the most street smart, so she may look up to those older than her for cues, and of course she may look to those that are not the best role models. While she tends to see a lot of gray areas in life, there is always one moral code she goes by, treat others you wish to be treated, at least at first. And this is usually how she treats people -after warming up-until they hurt someone she loves. Being raised in the big city and around a variety of people, she has no certain taste in people. She generally accepts people of all walks of life. Some people might surprise her, but she really tries to be nice to them. Addi is pretty book smart, not that great at sports-being very clumsy, but is pretty darn good on a guitar, having been playing since she was seven years old, but she tends to keep this fact quite from most people. She can mostly be found curled up with a good book or writing some songs.
APPEARANCE A.J. stands about 5'2 in stature, a little bit on the short side for a girl her age, but this has never bothered her. She is petite, with a slight curve in her hips she has gained the last few years from developing into a young woman. She's not skinny, but she's not quite big so to speak. Just average size for her height. A black curtain of hair flows past her shoulders to the small of her back with bangs fringing her face.Normally it is fairly straight, but it will curl in humidity. Her gray-blue eyes are wide, alert, and calculating; her nose is small, and her lips are little too thin for her taste. She wears a small layer of concealer on any breakouts, but that's about it for makeup. Her skin tone is medium in color, but because of her Italian heritage, she darkens easily in the sun. A pair of headphones are almost around her neck or on her person somewhere. Outside of school, A.J. takes on a casual wardrobe, mostly t-shirts and jeans with a few skirts thrown in. There are times when she delves into her inner girly-girl and dresses up. She is almost always seen with her favorite shoes on, a pair of ratty converse that she has retained since 7th grade. Oh and she always has that ratty purple hoodie on. INVENTORY ○ Cellphone - a small Samsung phone that she clings to for dear life, really like any regular teenager does, but she has a purple case, of course. It seems to be acting funny lately. ○ D1 Digivice - once received, this is clipped onto her bag securely. She plays with it often and admires the purple color. ○ Wallet - includes ID, school ID, train pass, some spare cash, and her favorite guitar pick. ○ Tablet Computer - one of those fancy-smancy things, usually just used for school work and the occasional internet surfing. ○ White Wireless Headphones - always seen hanging around her neck. ○Toiletry Bag - just a small bag containing a toothbrush/toothpaste, hairbrush/compact combo, and her glasses. ○ Notebook - Just some scribbled lyrics and various notes from class. ○ Purple Hoodie - if she's not wearing it, it's stuff into the bottom of her backpack. BIOGRAPHY American born and bred, Adelaide is your average teenager, but she does have some cultural diversity to her. She was born to young parents, her father of Italian descent and her mother from L.A. She grew up mostly on the West Coast. She was raised in a fairly normal home with loving, doting parents, but her father was away quite a bit doing consul work. She was raised up learning both English and Italian, however English prevails, while Italian is a close second. While her mother and father were in love, they were not married and she ended up with her mother's name. This wasn't quite taboo for them, but it wasn't exactly smiled up by her mother's family. She was raised up by both parents until age six, when they separated due to her father being gone quite a bit, but they both continued to co-parent, although she saw her father less and less as her father took a job as a full-time ambassador. Her mother eventually found a boyfriend and remarried when she was ten years old. While distant at first, she eventually warmed up to her step father. At age thirteen, her whole life changed. She experienced her first panic attack. While there is no specific trigger or known cause, she stayed home for about a week afterwards, seeing as it occurred at school. She can still remember the ice in her bones, the black edges creeping into her vision, her chest filling with lead. Eventually she was diagnosed and put on a mild dose of medications. The next summer, as she turned fourteen, she decided to spend time with her father traveling. Her mother was insistent that they stay with her at first, but in the end, saw this as a good opportunity for her daughter to grow and experience the world. A matter of weeks later, she found herself beginning school at an international school in Tokyo. | NICKNAME Addi AGE fourteen GENDER female HEIGHT 5'1.
