Nikumo Takara Faust Blake Winchester Zachary Scryer  (GM post) 

The combine attacks from both rookies, champions and spirits were indeed effective against the numerous rookie digimon. The issue was in the numbers of it. Luckily, the enemies were cut in half, as some were sent flying back into the waters and others shattering into bits of data from the sheer force of the champion level attacks. 

However, they retaliated in anger as they now struck back in a rather creative way! 3 Betamon now attacked with roars-- causing discharges of electricity to come shooting out at Faust to try and harm him. 

One Gizamon got smart and decided to make things difficult. Spinning with its fin cutter-- he lunged for Blake Winchester himself, and this time sliced into the ice around him. He was not hurt, but the strike actually caused the chunk of ice he was on to break off from the rest of the shelf-- causing him to go adrift and making him physically unable to get back. Trapped by the ice. 

For Nikumo Takara and Zachary Scryer -- along with their digimon-- had to deal with the remaining digimon as well, as they attacked with a wide, wild shoot out of slicing water and eletric shocks. 

(10 enemies defeated from rear, 10 more remaining from the front and sides.  Blake is now adrift on the ice and needs someone to save him. 3 betamon attempt to combine their power for an electric shock against Faust-- dealing champion level damage to him via all 3 combined attack. )

Things were getting out of hand fast. Not only was Panthermon's fire attacks, and the attacks of the other rookies in the party were not that effective, but worse that Blake was sent adrift if nothing was done. "B-Blake! Hang on!" Zachary shouted, seeing the part of the ice platform get cut off.

Panthermon was slipping and sliding as he tried to avoid the bursts of water and lightning that danced around the narrow field of ice. Even with the back clear-- their progress depended on them moving forward as the word intended. Catching Panthermon off guard, one Betamon released a pillar of water from its mouth--- and launched it at Panthermon. The cat digimon snarled as he was splashed. "HEY!" Panthermon snarled, more annoyed than injured. "Never. EVER. Get a cat wet!"

Realizing Panthermon was having trouble on just his own power, Zachary quickly reached into his pocket. "No more games! Panthermon, time to armor up!" Zachary said, taking out a card to show him-- the Digimental of Friendship card.

Seeing the card in the corner of his eye, Panthermon nodded, awaiting the power up.

Snapping the card between his fingers, Zachary glared at the card before him. With his digivice in his right hand, and the card in his left, he held the two seperate-- then drew them together in a dramatic motion. As the card connected to the digivice card reader-- light and sparks flew from the reader. Drawing the card through, energy was released and the screen of the digivice lit up brightly. "Digi-modify!" he shouted, slashing the card through, both arms to his side. "DIGIMETAL ENERGIZE!!"

With the slash of the card, the card's data-- the manifested form of the digiegg of Friendship-- passed through the digivice and was released, creating a mighty burst of electricity from the digivice. It lit up with a blinding flash of lightning and electricity as the energy moved to Panthermon.

"PANTHERMON ARMOR DIGIVOLVE TO--!" A panther's roar was heard as lightning cascaded over his form and transformed him-- creating a larger body of black fur and stripes, black armor with lightning symbols drawn on it-- and lightning shape blades adorn his claws and armor-- making him look like a lightning tiger beast of war. The panther's roar was replaced by that of a true tiger as he roared out, lightning discharging from his body. "BAGHEERAMON!!"

The others could see Panthermon now in his armored form-- one of a lightning tiger and one who could do a great deal of damage now against enemies of the water element.

"Let's see you get a charge out of this, little fish!" Bagheeramon growled as lightning sparked from his armor and blades on them. They grew stronger with each passing second, and Zachary knew what that meant.

Duck!

"OVERLOAD!!" Bagheeramon roared and Zachary ducked down low.

A sudden blast of electricity danced in all directions around Bagheeramon. It danced around the air and ice they stood on-- but more importantly, it aimed and targeted the enemies within reach of the attack. And even more powerful of an effect-- it was more effective against digimon of the Deep Savior elements as well.

The little digimon shouted as they were 'deep-fried' by Bagheeramon's violent lightning attack. (Pun intended )

(OOC: Armor Digivolved Panthermon to Bagheeramon, and used Overload-- an AOE attack that deals extra damage to deep savior enemies in range. )

The battle against the aquatic rookies appeared to be going as planned; the digimon were making quick work of the enemies. There was even a digimon powerful enough in their group to disperse the threat of a rear attack. Some of the digimon attacked by the champion were deleted, but the majority were sent crashing into the water.

At the front of the group they were making strides in the right direction well until a fin blade was sent flying at Blake catching him, and his partner off guard. “Darn it!” He would shout as he was bracing himself for the impact of the attack, but as he waited the damage never came. Slowly uncovering his eyes he would note that he wasn’t damaged. Quickly, he would turn his attention to his group who were fine just farther away than they were once.

Looking down at his feet he would note that the digimon’s attack was meant to isolate him from his group. Had they deemed him to be the weak link in the chain, and were wanting to use him for some sort of bait. All these thought were running rampant through his head when he would hear the sound of his friend Zach shouting telling him to hold on. This was easier said than done I guess, but he was going to have to figure out a plan of action otherwise he was likely to become fish bait.

Looking on at the battle he would note the digivolution of his friends digimon Panthermon who armor digivolved into Bagheeramon. A lightning type digimon was the perfect opponent for these deep saver digimon. “Blue buddy don’t worry about me just back up the others okay? I am fine.” The dog would nod, and would target the Gizamon that had attacked his partner. Churning the storm deep within his bowels he would release a mighty storm at the enemy in the form of a tornado beam. The attack would pin the Gizamon against a pillar of ice, and the dog type digimon would draw his dagger, and charge the enemy spinning to increase his speed , and slashing its way through the enemy. “Spiral Cutter, Rest in pieces!” He would mutter as the digimon burst into data.

(Battle Synopsis: Blake stranded from the rest of the group; Blue removed the Gizamon that targeted his tamer with Tempest Bark, and Spiral Cutter.)

[Faust]

At first he would ignore the words that the cat like digimon said about his move and copying it, however when he saw his exact attack copied and used against the foes he started to wonder if there was more to this little cat than met the eye. He didn't have too long to wonder as he saw that there was an attacking coming from him, not just from one foe, but from three of them combining their attacks in an attempt to hurt him. This was funny they wanted to hurt him with rookie level attacks. He wouldn't stand for it, no he would not only humiliate their attempt at attacking him but crush them to their core.

The time for play was over, he flapped his wings and fired out feathers that were on fire they quickly grew to be the size of small meteorites and came down upon all the remaining digimon. The attack that they had tried to use against him would soon face resistance as it would collide with multiple meteorites. This battle would be over quickly so they could move on. Each of the renaming Gizamon and Betamon would soon see that a large flaming chunk of rock was heading towards them. If the fire from the attack didn't burn them then the sheer blunt force of the attack hitting them would crush and turn them back into data, if they didn't doge.

Good news for the group was that they were thinning the Rookies' numbers... but at the same time; there WERE a lot of them. Nikumo was panicking as bolts of lightning and water zipped by her; for brief moment seeing one head straight at her. Before she could even blink though; a barrier of data was summoned in front of her and their allies; doing a good job at blocking any of the Rookies' attacks. Nikumo finally had a moment to take a breath and relax; though not before catching a Gizamon end up separating that brown haired guy with the blue dog Digimon. Shit man, they can't let themselves get separated! Plus there wasn't a way to really swim through that water right now... she was sure that water around them all was absolutely freezing. "Yo, Nyx! Go help the dude with the blue dog!"

The Meicoomon seemed to sneer slightly at the lone human girl. Had she not been already going a bit above and beyond right now? Bloody goodie two-shoes and their high standards. "Sigh. But that would mean more effort on my part."

"Stop fucking around and help him!"

The Meicoomon rolled her eyes slightly at the grumpy tamer, figuring it was not worth arguing. "Fine, fine. But just this once pumpkin." In a matter of seconds, the small cat Digimon glew and became surrounded by data; her tamer's D-Power lighting up as well. After dispersing, what was left was a tall, fifteen foot or so demonic caprine man; they immediately taking off to catch up with the stranded tamer on the chunk of ice. "Howdy, need a ride? Just your average, friendly neighborhood demon goat." Nyx would say, the Mephistomon bowing courteously to the tamer.

As the Armor Ultimate grabbed hold of the young man's arm, resting him on her shoulder; something caused the demonic Digimon to pause. "Huh... am I forgetting something here...?" She would say, placing a hand by her chin, an almost sarcastic tone to her voice. "Oh of course! How silly of me. Forgot bout the small fry."

"Death Clouds."

The Fallen Angeli Digimon sported a wicked smile on her face as she held a hand outward; a black fume emanating across her finger tips, it beginning to expand outward and cover the area; seeping into as many cracks as possible. While to her comrades, beyond the smell of sulfur; nothing seemed to happen. Not so much for the Betamon and Gizamon who were unlucky enough to get caught in the smog; it viciously beginning to corrode their data. For the Rookie levels, the Armor Ultimate's attack was not only agonizing; it was very lethal. The aquatic Digimon would not last long once the fumes managed to spread out fully.

Nyx used Genome Aegis to block the attacks of the Rookie levels, then Armor Digivolved to Mephistomon. Nyx use Death Clouds, they engulfing the area.

Passive
Dark Hum - Mephismon absorbs the pain of her enemies, allowing her to regenerate health and stamina from this. 20% of all damage dealt to enemy Digimon (whether by her or allies) is restored to her as health.

Brilliant Insanity - Mephismon is immune to the effects of mind-altering status effects. Additionally, she gains a 50% Attack and Defense bonus when fighting against a Dark Digivolved opponent.

Genome Aegis - Creates a small hexagonic-shell of data in front of herself and any allies nearby, shielding them from the effects of Champion level or lower attacks for a single post. Armor Ultimates and higher pierce this shield. (Cooldown: 2 Posts)

Death Clouds - Calls upon a noxious black fog that rolls across a span of 100 meters, it darknening the area. A dangerous attack that while it does not deliver its load immediately, enemy Digimon who find themselves in this fog will quickly find their data being painfully eroded each turn, damaging them. This damage is doubled against Virus Buster and Nightmare Soldier Digimon. Lasts for 3 turns. (Cooldown: 2 Posts after ending)

Zachary Scryer Blake Winchester Faust Nikumo Takara (GM POST)

(OOC: Points for Nikumo for saving Blake. But a twist! ) 

Nikumo was quick to act and had her digimon come to Blake's rescue! The great demon digimon, Mephistomon it seemed, was able to get Blake off the ice platform and back to the main part of the ice track. 

In the end, all the attacks had been successful, the remaining digimon that had barred their path was shattered into bits of data and leaving the way clear. 

There was however one small problem, thanks to Faust . 

When he used his feather attack, making them as big as meteors and striking the ice-- he inadvertently destabilize the rest of the ice path!  All around them, the ice began to crack, and stretch along the ice path before them. The battle had caused them to be separated once again, into small personal islands for those on the grounds. 

Zachary and Bagheeramon would be on their own little island of ice as it drifted and bobbed in the water, as did Blake and Barkmon , so did Mephistomon and Nikumo. Faust however was airborne being an angel digimon. Either way, their assault on the digimon had an adverse reaction. 

A good distance away, they could see the remaining patch of ice 50 meters away, still solid and the way to proceed further. Now they just had to get to it somehow. 

(Challenge: Faust's attack had caused the ice bridge they were staying on to break apart and cause it to split off even more than the enemy tried to do. Each one of you is stranded on a small ice island with your digimon, several of them spread out between you and the solid ice platform away from you.

Think creatively and work to try and get everyone to the other side safely.)

Zachary was relieved that Nikumo actually was able to save Blake as he saw his powerful, if somewhat scary looking digimon fly in and grab Blake so he could get back to the others. Further, they all launched other attacks. Thanks to them, and Bagheeramon's change into his armor digivolved form, they were able to defeat the enemies ahead of them.

But then came an unexpected twist. After the result of Faust's attack-- the ice began to crack and shift. Not good!

They traded one trouble for another as Bageeramon and Zachary teetered on the ice island they were on. Zachary clung to his digimon so as to not fall off, as the large tiger took up much of the space for the island, leaving Zachary with only a few places to stand on, let alone the tilting of the platform if you made any sudden movements.

"Thanks a lot, pretty boy!" Bagheeramon growled at the human-transformed angel digimon. He dug his claws into the ice, keeping himself as ankored as possible and keeping Zachary close.

The similar problem was apparent for himself, Blake and Nikumo. "Okay... no one panic..." Zachary said, letting out a breath himself and noticing the chilling waters below him. "Um, Bageeramon, any chance you can sprint across the ice platforms and get us all off one by one?" he asked.

Bagheeramon growled as he looked at the ice blocks in the water. "I have not built up enough speed to go fast enough-- and even if I did, those blocks would tip over the moment I made contact on them. " he said, not too confident he could move fast enough, jump to the next and make it before causing the next one to topple over. "We better think of another option."

"Any bright ideas on your end?" Zachary called out to the others, slowly drifting further from one another.

[Faust]

It seemed like his attack had worked and even got rid of the rookie level digimon, however it caused another issue for everyone else. The ice bridge that they were standing on was now breaking apart and causing everyone to drift away and possibly fall into the water. This wasn't his concern in the least bit, he wasn't here to make friends with any of these people nor was he ready to help them. If they couldn't get out of this by themselves then what use would they be deeper in the cave. With that mindset he ignored the comments from one of the digimon and simply landed on the safe patch of ice turning back to a human to watch and see what the others would do. If they drowned or froze to death in the ice water then that meant more bits for him in the end.

As somewhat expected, Nyx's Death Clouds combined with the rest of the others' attacks made short work of their attackers. Perhaps though it was a bit... too much actually? The ice ended up getting fractured by the angeli Spirit Wielder's attack and separating everyone. Nikumo herself could not help but groan slightly. THIS was the exact reason why she hated people.

"Well shit. Our jobs are never easy huh." She would grumpily comment, staring into the frigid waters below as Nyx seemed to get a chuckle out of the situation they were in, not before dispersing the black smog with a wave of her hand. "Yo, Nyx. Go get the guys who can't fly and take them to the alcove, then go get me. I'm just gonna like... I don't know, chill for a second." She would say, taking the time to sit down some while her partner would do the dirty work for her. The quicker this was all over with, the better.

The demonic caprine snickered slightly, spitting a playful raspberry at the girl before taking off the icy platform, gliding towards Blake and his partner; then briskly ferrying them both to the path ahead. "Nice work angel-face." She would comment towards Edward in a sarcastic manner, taking flight towards the chunk of ice where Zachary and Bagheeramon were.

"Heyyyyyy. I would totally ferry ya guys, but there's no way I can handle all of that pussy." She would begin to say, staring at the tiger-like Digimon, quickly breaking down into maniacal laughter. "Haha, I'm a born comedian. It's almost just as fun as killin'. Almost. But seriously, can like you either degenerate so I can carry ya both or Digivolve to something that can fly?" She would calm down before addressing her concerns, still having the same creepy smile plastered on her face from before.

Despite her silly attitude, she was not joking with that first comment. Shame that even a lil' murder here and there just couldn't keep her entertained nowadays.

Faust Nikumo Takara Blake Winchester Zachary Scryer (GM Post) 

(OOC: Okay since Blake has gone MIA for a lo9ng time, we are proceeding without him. He isn't dead but 'frozen' out of the thread, unless he returns. As for last challenge, due to strange nature of circumstances, you pass this round. Also Zachary will help get Bagheeramon across on his own so just help others. ) 

The tamers in their own methods were able to cross the patches of ice and would soon reach the safe end of the ice bridge that was where they could continue. The ice there was solid once more and would allow them to continue. 

Second Ice Section 


As they would all soon reach the second area, this one was a bit more interesting. Like before, it was a wide area of ice, allowing those to easily walk across. However, in between were several open spaces-- pools of water under the ice. As they begun to venture across it-- something stirred. A fin moving along the water behind them, only to vanish once more. 




It would appear in one place, then appear in another side of the ice flow-- and soon it could be seen! An almost dolphin like digimon, with fins, long body and teeth as it eyed them from the water. A Tylomon!

With a sudden cry from its maw, it launched a high-pitch screech. A sound attack, causing the enemy digimon to suffer a state of disorientation from the screech! (50% accuracy reduced for 2 posts).

The cry would be a sudden surprise to them-- and also would the following attack, as the sea-beast jumped into the air and dove into the water, causing a large wave to cast up from the water, and onto the ice shelf-- threatening to hit them if they did nothing!

(OOC: You are now facing an enemy Tylomon. Be aware for 2 turns, all your accuracy is reduced by 50% for 2 turns, due to Tylomon's Aqua Shriek attack. Sound oriented attack, and a tidal wave coming for you now. )

With their little rescue operation handled, the group was able to swiftly continue onward, hopefully getting closer and closer to the core of this icey dungeon. Arriving in another frigid room, this one had luckily more solid ground to stand on, there being multiple inter-connected pools of water scattered about.

Of course though, their job can never be easy... a aquatic dragon-shark sticking it's maw out of the water and letting out an ear-splitting screech.

Everyone there was quickly caught off guard, both human and Digimon struggling to block off the sound from their ears. For Nikumo, was almost just like being right by an airplane as it gets ready to take off. Her sense of balance was completely off now, though she sharply managed to catch the large tidal wave that the aquatic Digimon kicked up; she quickly digging into her card case by her waist and pulling out one that would hopefully stop that dead in it's tracks; sliding it in her Digivice. Nyx was quick to follow with the attack the card would allow her to do.

"Frozen Wind!"

The Mephistomon would quickly inhale, then exhale a gust of extra-frigid air; it quickly making contact with the quickly approaching water. Before it could cause any actual damage, the water itself was frozen near instantly mid-wave. Still, didn't help she now had a splitting headache from that Tylomon's loud screech. They were at a bit of a disadvantage admittingly... no one here was fit for water-based combat, and that Tylomon was in their element.

Nikumo herself seemed to idly debate the situation at hand, also having realized that the Tylomon was going to be a tough bugger to fight like this. Then it hit her. Swiftly digging into her deck, she pulled out a black card that had written in Digimoji "Death", sliding it through her Digivice.

Materializing into existence were 3 somewhat short, armored Digimon; a soft buzzing able to be heard from inside them. One of the newly summoned SkullKnightmon quickly saluted both the tamer and her partner. "Reporting for duty lady Nikumo Takara and mistress Nyx! How may we serve you?"

Nyx initially did not understand what the girl had intended when she summoned these clowns, but when the short-haired reverse trap pointed at one of the open pools of water in the ice, the Mephistomon quickly got it. Smiling malevolently, the Armor Ultimate's hooved feet managed to walk across the ice, she grabbing hold of and lifting one of the summoned Digimon. "Oh this is an easy job! One that is very important and that only you guys can do!" She would say to the knight-like Digimon walking towards one of the holes.

"And that is?" Said SkullKnightmon would ask, not at all aware of what his master intended to do to him.

"You're bait." She would almost cheerfully say before reeling back and slam dunking the infested SkullKnightmon straight into the water.

Hoped the Tylomon liked canned food. Was gonna be their last once the Mephistomon could get a clear shot at them. Idea was honestly pretty simple, with that guy in the water, the Tylomon would come out to try and take a bite out of them. From there, she or the others could follow up with the smackdown.

Nikumo used the SnowAgumon's Frozen Wind card, Nyx using it to freeze the tidal wave. Nikumo used the Death card to summon 3 infected SkullKnightmons under her control. Nyx has picked up one and chucked them into the water to use as bait.

Zachary however had faith in Bagheeramon's speed, and choose to stick out hopping with him. As Faust could fly and Nikumo was helping via lifting others with his flying digimon out, Bagheeramon let Zachary carefully mount his back, and the giant tiger didn't take Nyx's offer after the stupid jokes at his expense. WIth a growl, Bagheeramon immediately began to pounce from one ice block to another, till they safely reached the other side of the ice flow. 

Upon reaching the next section of the ice, they were faced with a strange water digimon-- Tylomon, according to his digivice as he scanned him upon sight. However, he surprised everyone by letting out an audible screech that caused all their digimon to cringe, and throwing off their accuracy. Zachary grasped his ears as well, the shout just more annoying than hurtful to human beings.  "Youch that stings!" Zachary growled, looking at the enemy.

Bagheeramon was also troubled, crouched low as his ears rang. He growled angrily, displeased by the turn of events. He didn't have the power to aim accurately, or risk hitting his allies.

Zachary saw the wave go up to attack them-- but they were rescued as Nekumo acted and swiped a card, Snowagumon! He caused a violent gust of icy wind from Nyx and caused the tidal wave to freeze. Zachary blinked as he saw the ice freeze, relief coming to him. "Nice thinking!" Zachary said.

However, what happened next was less orthodox. Using the infested knights he summoned, Zachary felt sick. He recognized them! Skullknightmon, enemies they had defeated when Skullgreymon was on the attack! They were rather nasty creatures, even worse they were infected by decay and death. But what happened next was even darker-- Nyx taking one and throwing it into the water as bait?!

Zachary felt revolted and sick to his stomach. "Call me a pesimist, but do you honestly think that thing is gonna eat something that gross? Animals sense those things." Zachary said.

Bagheeramon growled. "I know I wouldn't. " he replied.

Zachary turned to Bagheeramon, trying to figure out a way to help his digimon. "Is there nothing we can do?" Zachary asked.

"Grrr... not unless you want me to risk hitting you all in addition. " Bagheeramon grumbled.

Zachary reached into his pocket, and began looking for a card. He had to find something with some effect to help out. Something not easy for him to dodge, along with those that would allow Bagheeramon to attack without risk of hurting the others. After much flipping of the cards in his hand-- he found one. It was an interesting card, but one to help them in their present need. A smirk came to his face, as he knew what he could do .

(OOC: Dramatic pause. gonna wait for next turn to use)

[Faust]

The others getting to safety wasn't his concern at all after all it wasn't his responsibility to keep those that he doesn't know safe. Still being able to get out of that situation by themselves was admirable, it seemed as if they had more skill in them than he first assumed, more things to note later on in his black book. He wondered exactly how strong the effeminate male tamer was given that there was another digivolution before his eyes a Mephistomon. However before he could ask or even ponder more about that tamer his ears were assaulted by a sound based attack.

Even though he was disoriented from the attack he grabbed his digivice and digivolved back into angemon as he saw the massive title wave coming towards them. Even if there was ice all around there should still be a shadow of something moving from under them.

Taking his staff he started to spin it creating a twister, however instead of stopping he continued to spin his staff making it larger and larger till it touched down to the water sucking it upwards. If this digimon was swimming nearby it would be hard to keep it's self from being sucked upwards and end up as the digital equivalent of a sharknado.
