Zachary's comment caught her by surprise more than anything he had ever said today. He had

already invited her to that group?! Really? Yana looked at him with a confused, doubtful

look. She was sure she hadn't recieved any invitation of the sort, not that she remembered

anyway, "You did?! When was that...?", She'd ask, dumbfounded

She grinned proudly as she had passed the first test, indeed Leomon was the best option for Gatomon, and Machinedramon's attack was likely fully incompatible. She nodded at the idea of using some other machine equiment to facilitate its use even if it was still something she didn't really recommend.

He then went on to suggest that Yana could put this new knowledge to the test by trying out a card on Ari, leading her to look around, wondering just how was he planning on doing that. They were still not too far from the entrance to the arena, "That sounds like a good idea, but... How?"

Meanwhile, Ari had her own chat with panthermon. As the casually sat against the wall watching Yana, the Gatomon didn't seem the least bit bothered by trying on the cards, quite the opposite: If anything, she looked curious: "I never loaded another Digimon's data and probably won't... But, using sounds interesting. I can't even begin to imagine the amount of possibilities~", she'd answer, smiling cutely with poorly concealed excitement.

It seemed Yana forgotten, but to be fair they were in the middle of a dungeon run to stop a volcano, and the time before that the Museum of Natural History had come alive with dinosaur digimon. "Well, I am trying to start my own group involving communicating with other digimon and tamers. Anyway its growing and we hope to find a base of operations here in the digital world. Anyway if you are interested, you are always welcome to join. " Zachary said, offering it to her again. The group had a good share of benefits and Zachary was proud to make a place for humans and digimon to meet in peace.

Back to the topic of Gatomon using her first modify card, it really wasn't that hard. Panthermon purred at Gatomon too, understanding her position. "Believe me, I know the fact and don't do it often. However, it just feels... like a natural enhansement most of the time. Then again, I got a partner who takes great care what cards he uses with me. We make a good team. Its a shame I couldn't bring him the victory he wanted..." Panthermon said.

Back to the topic of the cards, Zachary opened his card binder again. At Yana's question about how to use the card for Gatomon. "Don't worry. We can do it right here, and its just to see how Gatomon reacts to the card use." Zachary said, and smiled as he got to a selection of special cards he had. "As for what cards, you are more than free to use some of mine. I am always happy to share when I can."

His page was open to a section he reserved for ultra rare cards-- cards with significant value or properties. These were cards not like the ones you got on earth-- but from the digital world alone. With a hand on his chin in thought, he browzed through it-- and found one he smiled at. Taking it out of the page sleeve, he revealed to be holding a card to one of the Olympus 12. The angelic picture on it belonging to Junomon. "Perfect! This will fit Gatomon just fine!" Zachary said.

The Junomon card allowed the equipment of magical holy lances that would equip to one's back like extra limbs, but were treated like weapons to wield. While it was an odd card, the holy energy they contained were perfect for Gatomon, since her powers were holy in nature!

Zachary handed the card over to Yana offering it for her to use. "Here. Give this a swipe through your digivice and see how Gatomon feels after. This is a special card with holy energy, so its sure to adapt well to her. "

The card was just for her to borrow, but it would give her a great example how a high-power card could make a digimon so much stronger. But Yana was a good friend to Zachary, as he saw it. As such, he was always willing to share his cards with people he cared about, especially if they were tamers too.

For now, he watched and waited to see how Yana would use the Juno card she now held.

Yana looked pretty confused when Zachary explained he had invited twice already, earning a rather quizzical question, "Really...?", she'd ask, look as quizzical as ever, before finally flashing a kind smile, "Then sure, I'll join you...!", answering with a decisive nod, knowing she could both benefit from all the deals they'd been making, as well as contribute her strength to fight if it came to that.

She had a good point, it was half the reason why Yana would never compete at a place like this: Zach and Panthermon couldn't give it their all in a place where the penalty for such an effort would be death. They would certainly fare batter at a different place, fueled by sportsmanship instead of bloodlust: "Don't worry about it... It wasn't really that great a tournament anyways. Did you really trust Crow to honor his promise? Guy just basically brought down two cities for the hell of it...!"

As for what card to use, Zachary came to her aid in a flash, flipping through his own card and finally presenting her with one. Yana looked wide eyed at the picture in the card, handling it with care as it was obviously very Rare, if the depicted Junomon wasn't enough of a hint, "Oh wow...", she muttered, blushing slightly and flashing Zach an appreciating nod, "T-thanks...! Here it goes Ari... Are you ready?"

Ari's ears twitched at this words, and she finally stopped loafing around with panthermon, quickly getting on her feet, crouching down with one forepaw on the ground before her. A stance famililar to anyone used to watching a feline ready to pounce: "As i'll ever be!", the Gatomon smiled and nodded resolutely, ready for the oncoming surge of power

"Card Slash! Junomon!!", Wasting not a moment, Yana swiped the card through her D3, once more creating a slashing slot as she pushed the card against it, allowing it to slide effortlessly. As she did, two prehensile tentacles tipped with lances appeared behind Ari's back, proportionate to Gatomon's size...

Zachary and Panthermon waited as Yana took the Junomon card to use to test her card reader. Zachary couldn't help but smile to see the surprise and jubilant look on he face as she saw such a rare and powerful card. It even made Zachary happy to learn she was interested to join his team Nexus after all. As she also mentioned, another tournament with fairer conditions would be nice. That Zachary had in mind as well for his vision of Nexus, but that would come later.

For now he watched as the card was slashed through-- another version of how it was said-- and she triggered the card's activation. It was then Gatomon's bodyc hanged. Mechanical-like structures appeared on the small of her back that stretched out like tendrils to end at the holy lances created via Junomon's power. They were small in general, compared to Gatomon's true size, but they were still elegant looking and would be under Gatomon's control to use.

"How do you feel, Ani?" Panthermon asked, still sitting on the ground aloof as many cats were.

It was amusing to see Gatomon get used to the new extensions of her body, even if they were only temporary.

"Admitting, Junomon's card is unusual but containing the power of the Olympic 12, its nothing to sneeze at. " Zachary explained, "Anyway, if I get any cards I think that would be good for you, we can work out a deal or something. I would give you Junomon, but its my only one. But hey, if you wanna learn the actual card game too-- let me know ." He said with a smile.

Looking over the arena around him, the darker shade seemed to become more clearer as things began to calm down and the tournament ended. "I guess that is how it is. Well at least I walked away with something good." A smile formed on his face as he fished out another card from his pocket to show Ani and Yana.

A digi-egg of Courage card-- which it was indeed the Armor Ultiamte card he needed to activate his digimon's armor form.

It didn't take long for an experienced Digimon like Ari to get used to the extra weight on her back, she swung it around with ease in tandem with claw attacks at the air, but sooner rather than later she realized the full potential of having two prehensile lances strapped to her back: Dashing forward, Ari quickly stabbed the lances into the ground for traction, enabling her to stop and change direction effortlessly, something that even for her was normally pretty trough, and thus allowed her to use her impressive speed to its fullest potential.

"Hey, this is pretty handy~!!", she'd comment cheerfully, glad to have suddenly earned two extra limbs: Who wouldn't be? With this, she not only gained two more angles at attack from while making full use of her speed, but also allowed her the kind of manouvering even four limbs couldn't accomplish.

As Ari played around with the card's effects, Zach and Yana went on with their chatter. She shook her head when he said he couldn't give her the card; that would be asking for too much given how blatantly rare it was. She gave it back to him, "I didn't expect you to give me something this rare, it's alright...!", before looking on as he mentioned something

She didn't look really surprised at seeing the courage Digimental, almost like she already knew what it was, "So now you have it too...", she'd comment, pulling out her cellphone and showing the D-terminal app, with a Digiegg of courage alongside the Digiegg of Light

Panthermon watched with amusement as Gatomon pounced about with the extra mechanical limbs of the lances. They glimmered in the dark area of the stadium with her movements. "They suit you well, Gatomon. " Panthermon purred as he watched her test out the extensions.

Drawn in by the showing of his digimental of Courage, Zachary put the cards back. "So you got the same Digimental. That's cool. I found THIS one here in the arena between fights. I would of used it, but it was too strong and would of broken the rules." he said. "I know armors are not very useful after a point, but they had come in handy. YOu know like the final match. Did you notice how he kept having an edge on enemies his level? Its why I went one technically lower. "

Panthermon did admit it was a sharp move on Zachary's part and why he was proud of his sense of strategy. Still, what done was done.

Zachary soon packed up his cards and other gear into his backpack. The tournament was over and he saw no other reason to hang around here in this depressing place. "Hey Yana, listen. Soon, I will be meeting some online friends who happen to be tamers in Terabyte city. We have plans to try and make a base of operation for Nexus. You should come so you can meet others. Anyway, here. " Zachary soon handed her a piece of paper. It had his email address, along with the website of Nexus he created in the form of "Digimon Nexus". "I use that website to meet the others, but in time, its gonna be a tool for tamers to actually travel through the digital world easier. Anyway, I look forward to you coming."

Finished packing up, Zachary swung his backpack over his shoulder and Panthermon slowly rose up to his feet with a stretch of his limbs and back. "Let's get out of this place. I think there are better places for us to be," Zachary said.

Phantermon's compliment earned him a playful giggle as Ari finally stopped playing around with her newfound card abilities, commenting how useful it would be to have such an ability at her disposal, "Guess I'll need Nana-chan to get this card herself."

That said, it was a rare card and getting it would likely cost a hefty amount of bits. Indeed, it might be more useful to trade her own cards to Zachary and see if he was willing to part with it. In the meantime, the conversation topic had shifted towards Digimentals. Yana looked visibly surprised to hear he had actually found a Digimental in the arena, but shook her head when he commented how they had limited usefulness:

"Armor Digivolutions will always be useful for the possibilities they offer.", Yana smiled and explained, "Nefertimon helps Ari manage team battles, while Lynxmon is really useful in firey envoiroments. And fire wielding opponents too. Plus, they're a lot less exhausting for Digimon to maintain."

She looked at the makeshift business card for Nexus, smiling and nodding when Zach stated his plans, "I will...! Guess when I next see you the team will be all set up then?"

The two would watch the tamer and digimon duo head off, waving at him as Ari too said goodbye to her friend, "See ya soon, Panthermon~!"
