For the first time in a long time, Basil felt like he was making progress. Since he’d lost in the first round of the tournament at Triton City, the little dragon decided to take some time to himself and practice on how to get a grip on his new form on his own. Sadly, one of the few places in the Digital World, he swore never to come back to until he felt comfortable, or he could sneak in and ignore the banishment from pure strength alone. As such, the little Dracenamon secluded himself in the depths of Emerald Mangrove.
The grove itself proved a wonderful training ground for someone his size. While the swamps were less than needed, the lush grassland, the various foliage and trees allowed Basil enough of an environment to get in touch with himself and the full extent of what he could do. The Akshaydramon then decided for another challenge on top of that. He would try to keep the form for as long as he could manage and only de-evolve when his size became a hindrance to navigate through the forest. Thankfully, that issue never came up.
However, Basil had been given a reputation among some of the local Digimon that were too weak to fight him. In the several days, nay, two weeks since he’d started his training regimen, some sections of the Mangrove looked unrecognizable. It wasn’t in the terrorized sense, but rather some locations looked more like lush grasslands and overly clean, rather than the thick and lush jungle that the location was known for. A few large, black spikes also adorned the various places that had their environment warped, too.
The Akshaydramon laid on all fours, chest heaving, armor and scales glistening in the sunlight as he made his way through his target for today; a large tree that he’d conjured up on his own. He’d used the trees, vines and other objects around the jungle to make what looked like a three story, red-wood like tree. Numerous claw marks and spikes littered the base of the tree as Basil swiped, clawed and attacked the tree relentlessly.
“Just…one more….” Basil coughed. He took a deep breath as he stared upward at the obstacle he’d conjured. It took him close to three days to make the tree in the first place, and he’d been tackling this for at most a day. He wanted to get the tree toppled and destroyed before the third day, he had only a few hours left to go. His muscles ached and he felt certainly close to de-evolving. If he did, he was going to have to start over again. The large dragon focused what modicum of energy he had left in him. The sun shone brightly, his luscious black mane beginning to shine the same as well. As Basil opened his mouth, a concentrated ray of sunlight erupted, slamming against the middle of the tree with all the force he had in him. The first time he tried it, he couldn’t keep up the Solar Bomb for more than a few minutes, even in the best weather. Now, he’d gotten to doing it at least for several minutes. While it was slow progress, it was still something. Thankfully, the strength output had been increased as well. The more the solar attack slammed against the tree, it tore back the reinforced bark again and again until….
The section of the Emerald Mangrove shook with a giant thud as the large tree that had been erected by the Champion had been toppled. In fact, upon closer inspection, the tree itself had been seared into two large pieces that hit the ground. Basil let out a horrible cough, letting out dry heaves. He dug several vines around himself into the ground before he sighed. Effectively rooting himself into the ground for nutrients, the grass dragon admired his handiwork with a grin.
“Perfect. Now I just have to get that down more often, maybe in a day or less.” Basil grunted as he laid back on his front.

[googlefont="Ubuntu"] Sky above me. Earth below me. Fire within me. Drum had heard rumors about a strange Dragon Digimon roaming the Emerald Mangrove; causing some sort of discord and a lot of noise for the last few days. The details weren't really that clear, or really much to go on since all he knew is that it looked like it was completely made of plant-life and soil.
To be honest, he wasn't sure what to think of such a description, perhaps they were just talking about a Petaldramon? It was the closest match that he could think of that the rumors would refer to but perhaps it was a newly discovered Digimon? Those were always popping up and about time and again, perhaps, this time, it was no different and it was just getting used to his new body?
HOW did he know all of this? His Father was quite a strict instructor when it came to passing down his knowledge to his children and students. You either paid attention to his lectures or you could see yourself out and never come back.
His internal musing was cut short when a thunderous boom echoed across the whole expanse of the area and he whirled around towards where the sound seemed to have originated from, sweating slightly as he wondered what kind of Digimon could have made such a noise.
Probably a large and hungry one...
"Oh boy, the things I do to satisfy my curiosity." Drum bemoaned lowly under his breath before walking forward, moving away sections of vines, branches of trees and jumping up from the swamps that dotted the land. Finally after a minute or so he encountered the area where a giant tree once stood; merely laying down to the side now and the culprit?
A giant Dragon that seemed to be made of the soils and plants that dotted the land-- just like the rumors said. "Wow, you're big!" Drum's usual sarcasm or quips failed him at this moment as he stared up at the large Draconic being with amazement in his eyes.

SOON AS THE FIRST ROUND STARTS, YOU'VE BEEN BEAT, YOU'RE IN DEEP.
Somewhere a considerable distance away from the two dragon Digimon, far inside the darker, more shadowy (and relatively untouched) sections of the Emerald Mangrove, sat a man in red. Accompanying this white-haired figure was a third dragon Digimon, blue-skinned and bearing a V-shaped crest on his brow, who was also in a seated posture as a shabby brown windbreaker hung from his shoulders. The two were deep in meditation, their spines stiff and upright and their eyes closed to prevent visual distraction. The chirping of aviary Digimon echoed from the canopies on high, the foliage being dense enough to dilute a majority of the harsh afternoon sunlight that beat down over the Digital World without pity or remorse, leaving the forest floor well shaded. Near them, a creek bubbled and rolled over a bed of smooth, multicolored rocks. The wind was gentle, though warm. The objective was to clear their minds of all obstructions, to quiet the storm of their thoughts and achieve clarity on all fronts. Their breathing was synchronized to each other, perfectly timed with every minute that idly passed. Even as beads of sweat began to form on their skin from the humidity of the rainforest floor, neither of them budged an inch. The duo were in perfect harmony with the world, each other, and themselves. That is, until a tremor shook the ground beneath their bodies, forcing one of the nameless warrior's eyes to open in concern. The Veemon's concentration was all but entirely broken, as his comparably smaller frame tumbled over from the earth's shuddering. "What the hell was that?" Blue asked his human companion, expecting an answer to reveal itself. "It may have been a mild tectonic shift," the Red Mantle hypothesized, closing his eye as he attempted to regain his state of inner serenity. Blue scoffed, not entirely sure what "tectonic" meant but convinced it had something to do with combat. "There he goes again, pretendin' nothin' in da woild ain't wrong," he mumbled, unwilling to let the topic rest without some kind of closure. "I'll go check it out, den. Don't 'ave too much fun widdout me." No response came from the Red Mantle, provoking Blue to roll his eyes before he took off into the brush in a light jog. It seemed as though Blue was becoming more and more irate with the way Red was handling himself lately. All that brooding and contemplating really did a number on his sense of humor, something the Rookie genuinely missed. It was probably still there, he just... hasn't found a way to extract it yet. Especially with the recent string of events that have unfolded over the last couple of months. It's been hard, trying to keep a positive mind on things even as they rolled downhill. Recalling the tale of Sisyphus, Blue couldn't help but relate to such a plight. Still, the lack of company outside his own Tamer had taken its toll on the Veemon, and at this point he was comfortable enough to accept companionship elsewhere, even if it was only for a short while. He just hoped he wouldn't run into trouble, like he always managed to do. He took a deep breath, focused his thoughts, and expelled whatever negative feelings that may have tried to linger. In that same instant, his own presence in the world seemed to diminish altogether until he was about as in-tune with his surroundings as he could make himself be. It probably would have been a good idea to wear some camouflage, too. Maybe a bandana and an eyepatch, too? No, not those. That's just stupid.

Panting heavily, Basil stared at the severed tree in front of him. A wide grin graced his muzzle as he flexed his muscles, sweat matting against his mane and scales after the adrenaline started to fade away. While he still needed some practice in cutting that stupid tree down, he was getting a lot faster at it. Maybe he'd also be faster in an actual fight? It was really his biggest weakness, no matter how much he threw himself at someone and hoped he made a hit. The Akshaydramon plopped himself down on the ground with a thud and a big sigh before he heard a voice cry out in amazement.
"Huh, what?" He said, confused. He turned around to see another Digimon. It was a dragon like himself, but small and decked out in armor and red scales. He didn't recognize the species at all, which was the first thing he noticed about it. He then realized that he was being complimented and smiled nervously.
"Haha, thanks. There's folks bigger, I'm sure." Basil waved him off with a paw. "Was I disturbin ya or something? No one's bothered me the last few days or so, so I figured it was all good." he finished with a rumble.
"So, you alone or something?" Basil soon asked afterwards. The little dragon fella probably traveled alone, but after encountering human after human with a Digimon, it was probably easier to just ask outright. Before Basil got his answer, the plant dragon's ears shifted slightly. Some bushes were rustling not that far off, but he couldn't tell what. Was probably the little guy's human or something.
(Dragon tri-force go.)

[googlefont="Ubuntu"] Sky above me. Earth below me. Fire within me. "Heheh, maybe but at the moment you're the largest around here." Drum said with a cheeky grin as he rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. He wondered for how long did this Dragon Plant-like Digimon was training around these parts. Because that's what it was he was doing as far as he could tell judging by the immediate surroundings. Using his hands as a pillow for his head as he crossed his arms behind him, the Drumdramon leaned back and looked at the Digimon in front of him with a curious expression. "Yeah, I'm alone; no partner in sight. But I am part of an organization so I'm not alone in that regard I guess." The Mini Dragon shrugged his diminutive shoulders but stood at attention when the rustling of bushes sounded not too far off. He send a glare of suspicion in that direction but choose not to comment on it just yet, perhaps it was merely the wind. "Anyway," He turned back towards Basil and asked a question. "How long have you been here training anyway? You look tired."(With all our powers combined we'll summon Captain Planet Examon.) BasilRed Mantle

THEY JUST KEEP COMING BACK FOR MORE, YOU'D THINK JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES.
If Blue had any hair on the back of his neck, all of it would be standing on end. Instead, the little dragon's reflexes took over, motivating him to crouch for a split second before using the great strength contained in his muscular legs to jump vertically upward, grabbing a leafless tree branch as he ascended so that he could avoid causing any more noise than he already did. A scowl crossed the Veemon's face. That was too close for his own good. But, at least it looked like those Digimon over there — at least, they looked like Digimon? — hadn't caught on to his presence yet. As he observed them talking from behind the protection of the canopies, Blue struggled to identify what species the dragons were, casting particular interest in the much larger (and veritably greener) Eastern lung. A creature his size definitely had to be at least Champion level. The red-scaled pipsqueak in armor, though... In-Training? Rookie? His diminutive stature, especially in comparison to the forest dragon, made it hard for Blue to accurately determine with visual alone. Blue calmed his breathing, quieted the storm of his mind, and allowed the sounds of nature to return himself to a state of inner serenity again; if he had been careless and allowed his power suppressing ability to slip, even for that moment, this would correct the issue and cloak his presence from the other two dragons. Especially now that he could observe them at his own pace. Expressing utmost confidence in his planning skills, Blue hoisted himself to the top of the branch he had been hanging from, thankful its thickness could support his weight as he moved his body into a sitting position, slouching both shoulders forward in an attempt to relax.

Alone, but not alone, huh? That didn't sound too bad in Basil's opinion. The idea of an organization brought back memories of that bug guy and his Hive or whatever. Blindly following it seemed silly, but eh, it was his prerogative. The little guy didn't seem to be too bummed or excited by being a part of something though, he wondered why. The memory of the forest and the like soon came back to the arbor dragon as well. He frowned at the thought of Cherrymon and his nonsense.
"And it's not super terrible or anything like that?" Basil questioned the red dragon, staring down at him somewhat.
As for how long he'd been here? He hadn't kept track. He started counting along his claws and digits until he got a number. When he started counting, the rustling in the bushes got to him again. Okay, something was there. Was it watching them? He couldn't ignore that possibility, but if someone was, maybe this wouldn't seem so crazy.
"About two or three weeks? I've been kinda losing track of the time, but that sounds about right." The Akshaydramon rumbled. "No one's been bothering me, so I assumed everything's been okay. Unless someone wants to make a complaint." Basil said, glancing in a random direction. "And I'm feeling fine, than-"
Before Basil could finish his sentence, something caught his attention. It wasn't the mysterious entity he was looking around for no. It was a tug on his core. At the mention of being tired, some of the exhaust must had finally caught up with him. The massive arbor dragon that had been using the Mangrove as his training ground for the last few days exploded in a burst of green smoke, leaving a small, frowning serpentine dragon with his arms crossed, only just slightly larger than the red dragon in front of him.
"Uggh, there went that record. Guess I am tired..." Basil frowned.

[googlefont="Ubuntu"] Sky above me. Earth below me. Fire within me. At the sudden question the male would frown as he pondered for a few seconds. "Well... it is a mercenary group called the Wild Cards. As our job would imply, we work for money to do what our clients needs us to accomplish. But our golden rule is and always will be that we take care of each other; like family and what while we fight for them we won't die FOR them." He blinked at the Dragon and send the rustling bushes another look of cautioness. But then he was caught off guard by the large dragon Digimon suddenly exploding outward in a burst of green smoke! He stood there in shock blinking his wide eyes and wondered if the large dragon suddenly just died on him out of nowhere. But then from the smoke came a serpentine dragon who was slightly larger than him. He couldn't help it, he snorted and snickered against his better judgement. "Man, you must have been running on fumes for a good while if you suddenly de-digivolved." Approaching the green-scaled Digimon he'd offer his paw to him. "Heya, nice to meet ya, the name's Drum Fang Slade Terrestrial XIV, but you can call me just Drum." He smiled cheekily. BasilRed Mantle

THEY JUST KEEP COMING BACK FOR MORE, YOU'D THINK JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES.
Concealed by the verdant canopies and the shadows beneath them, the sneaky Blue folded his hands into one another and hovered them in front of his horn-capped snout, looking on with a glint of inquisitiveness as the other two dragons continued their ramblings about nothing in particular. The large, green one appeared to have been training in this area for quite some time, based on what Blue was able to gather from their conversation. The red dragon, on the other hand, just happened to be in the area; he also went out of his way to mention his involvement in a band of mercenaries for hire called the "Wild Cards". Their exchange of introductions and pawshakes were observed with silence from within the treetops, the dragons' azure-skinned eavesdropper taking utmost care not to make any sudden movements, even as the Eastern lung reverted back to a smaller, ever-so-slightly chubbier Rookie form in a puff of green smoke. Blue looked around, taking note of the barren patches of grassland and comparing them to the rest of the Emerald Mangrove, expressing quiet shock as he kept a mental record of the major differences he bore witness to. Was that really just from two weeks worth of training? He glanced at the green dragon, then to the red one in armor. If this kind of power was what ol' spearmint over there was capable of, imagine the kind of potential hiding inside Fireball... As fatigue had tugged at the verdant dragon of the forests, a flame of desire ignited within Blue's own core, one he had not felt for a very long time. It was an urge to test himself, to see exactly what kind of power he had acquired over the past thirty years. Hell, he probably had a lot more to learn –– but that wasn't worth getting bent out of shape over. You either win, or you get better. Losing is for people that are afraid to take control of their life. Like how a tiger stalks a deer, Blue waits patiently. There is no hostility in his mind, only a craving. It wasn't specifically for attention, but perhaps just recognition? A desire to feel noticed among a new crowd, a chance to interact and feel like a normal Digimon for a change. All this time, he'd been focusing on Red's personal problems. Now, it's his turn to have some fun.

Basil nodded once he started going in depth about his little group. Mercenary group, rather. The term sounded a bit...harsh. At the core of it, they were just folks helping other folks, but for money and didn't risk their lives for it. That did sound kind of nice. Basil knew that he needed a fair bit of money to survive, considering he had none to his name. He first tried selling fruits and veggies, but that only took him so far.
Maybe he could join them? With the way the little dragon sounded like, it was a nice group to be around and with. Before he could follow up the thought, Basil rustled a paw through his mane and pulled out a nice big meat apple. He eagerly munched on it, tearing through one after the other that he plucked out of his mane. Sometimes, it was very lucky to be a self producer for when you didn't have money for food. As he dug through his lunch for the day, he seemed a lot more hungry than he felt before, too!
"Hmmf, nice to -mmf- meet you, Dr-umf-." Basil said after every other bite. Once he was finally done, he let out a content sigh and patted his stomach. "Name's Basil Hoo boy, I needed that!" he finished with a rather large burp afterwards.
Now that he could actually operate properly, the little arbor dragon glanced around again. Everything seemed to be quiet, maybe he was hallucinating someone being there. Ah well, it happened sometimes.
"So I guess I should ask, what brings you here?"

[googlefont="Ubuntu"] Sky above me. Earth below me. Fire within me. Drum blinked as the plant-like Dragon literally took something out of himself -an apple his mind helpfully provided- and started to munch on it like it was an everyday thing... Which considering that he wasn't batting an eye and keep eating apple after apple, it probably was for all he knew. "It's nice to meet you, Basil." Drum said, a bead of sweat trailing down the side of his face when his stomach suddenly decided to make its presence know by growling loudly. ".... Um..." Drum blushed hotly and brushed the back of his nape self-consciously. "Perchance you might have more of those apples?" He grinned at Basil and hoped that he actually had more because he was seriously starving. Last time he left the base without first eating something. "I followed the rumors of something bumping around the woods here. Clearly, that 'mon was you." Looking once more at all the destruction around him critically he hummed under his breath. "You must have been going through this for the past few weeks." A Champion level Digimon did all this damage? He shuddered to think what an Ultimate or the Sovereigns forbid a Mega Digimon could do on an off day. He couldn't wait to finally achieve his Champion form, at least he wouldn't be useless anymore to the Wild Cards if he had it... BasilRed Mantle

THEY JUST KEEP COMING BACK FOR MORE, YOU'D THINK JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES.
Their ramblings continued without breaking a single beat, which proved to Blue that the long months he put into his training had finally paid off, and that he was one step closer to mastering his ability to suppress his own energy readouts. Based on his current state of thought, and other factors such as his leveled heart rate and neutral emotional stress output, it was very likely that the two of them probably imagined his presence. Or thought he was something else. Who knows, and, really, who cares? It was hard to believe that the dragon with green scales, who had just revealed a rather peculiar talent for spontaneous agriculture, could inflict this amount of devastation to the Emerald Mangrove in just a couple of weeks. What made it that much more difficult to accept was that, instead of crater marks and enormous holes where chunks of earth ought to be, it appeared rather modest and cultivated. Almost as if it were healing itself. Wow. Even Blue had to admit, that's something he never saw every day, as weird and crazy as the Digital World has been over the last few decades. Hopefully it wasn't some kind of forced geological interference. It was bad enough that Red tried to carry the world's weight over his shoulders, the last thing he wanted was for him to start pretending he was Captain Planet. The Veemon's focus on the two dragons finally broke as he felt his mind waver, leading back to memories of his friend, his partner, who had done so much to preserve the integrity of the Digital World, to uphold peace and justice –– not just for humans, but for Digimon as well. That he simply cannot see the impact he's made on everyone is what frustrates Blue to no end, and yet without a means to achieve catharsis for his inability to open his Tamer's eyes to the truth, he finds his heart being swallowed by grief and torment. At the end of the day, Blue didn't really want a challenge; he could find those on his own. He wanted companionship, like he used to have back in the good old days, when the two of them would play video games after he got off school, or when they would sneak over to the comic book store and spend gobs of money on trading cards. Red was a true friend, a brother, even. Was there even a word in the fucking dictionary that could describe what those two were? Just what happened to those times? What happened? As Blue struggled to find the answer within, a single tear of longing rolled down his cheek.

Admist his voracious eating habits, Basil hadn't seen or noticed Drum ask for a bit of food. Least until there was one apple left in his mane. When he'd finished the second to last one whole, he had a muzzle full of crumbs as he turned to look at the little red dragon with an apologetic expression marred by his food. "Sorry about that, was really hungry it seemed. I don't mind sharin, I can just make some later." the arbor dragon put a hand back into the deep depths of his mane. it almost looked like a space that didn't fit anything he shoved in there, but it did. He kept but only a few actual items in the space of his mane and made everything else in the moment. If anything, the arbor digimon was surprised that he could still use his green thumb when he was tired. Guess it came from so much practice with it back at Nanosphere. He passed over the meat apple to Drum with a smile. Even after providing food to other digimon and generally given good praise, the little whiskered guy was always nervous about any sort of critique. Would he like it? Would he not? Would he ask for more? Hopefully he did if he liked it. Whether or not he ate it all, Basil continued listening to him, his cheeks flaring up pink. Did he really have that much of a reputation? It hadn't even been a month -or maybe a month did pass if rumors started flying by- but Digimon were talking about him. Hopefully it was the good kind of word if this guy went to see if the rumors were true. Either way, the compliments kind of got to his head, as evident by the laughter and cocky whisker twirling. "Haha, that I have. Kind of been rebuilding and tearing just this one place apart. Granted, I've been training in my element, but making a place worse and then forcing yourself to make it all back from a new threshold seems like good enough training. I think it's working, too." Basil nudged a digit towards the mess that lay beside them. The circumference around the area had been laid barren of trees except for the one that used to loom above the Mangrove. If one looked closely, some of the torn up earth and the destroyed plant life seemed to be rebuilding itself. Generally, Basil's presence accelerated the plantlife around him by a certain margin. Usually, it used to extend just a few meters around him, while his adult form had a much bigger range, usually several kilometers or less. But it seemed that the arbor dragon's range had been increased. And with that, some extra senses. The tiny arbor dragon didn't have extra eyes, per say, but rather extra arms feeling about as the place repaired itself slowly, but surely. it was going to take a hell of a lot longer for the entire place to repair itself, which meant he was going to have to keep eating to keep the process up. But somewhere along the line, the whiskered dragon's brows raised up. He stared around the area. It was for a quick moment, but it felt like someone was actually there. He wasn't crazy. Like someone was hiding themselves very well, but left a tiny bit of their person out in the open for him to sense. "Okay, who's out there? I know I'm not crazy!" Basil suddenly shouted. Drum did have a bit of a point before. If he'd been out here for weeks and Digimon were talking about him, that meant someone had to be watching for the rumors to circulate in the first place. If they were just watching him, they probably didn't mean any harm....right? "Just come on out, I'm not doing anything. Heck, if you're watching, that means you wanna get closer, right?" He yelled into the distance. Hopefully he wasn't actually crazy in Drum's eyes for yelling at nothing. (Hopefully this is okay, if not, I can edit the post a tad , Red Mantle , Drum )

[googlefont="Ubuntu"] Sky above me. Earth below me. Fire within me. With almost lightning fast reflexes born on the fact that having one too many siblings and friends clamoring to get to the food before anyone else could, Drum almost wanted to apologize at how fast the apple disappeared from the whiskered Dragon's paw and down his throat.
Munch after munch did the red-scaled Dragon tore apart that juicy fruit, moaning appreciatively at the taste that exploded across his taste buds. He had eaten some apples in the past but by Fanglongmon this might be the tastiest apple he ever had the pleasure of eating! "Oh my Fanglongmon." Patting his suddenly filled stomach the Drumdramon left out a contented sigh. "That hits the spot, thanks, buddy."
Blinking his eyes the Mini Dragon took a glance at his surroundings and his mouth opened slightly in awe at how he could see the blackened ground and upturned earth slowly mend itself back together like it was healing itself. He had never seen such an effect happen from just one Digimon, and a Rookie one at that! "That's amazing!" It made him wonder what kind of cool powers he'd get once he unlocked his Champion form, he could feel the line getting shorter and shorter with each passing day and it filled him with excitement that he'd finally reach it.
He started slightly at Basil's voice when he projected his voice loud and outward. So there WAS really someone lurking on and about in the shadows, eh? He thought he was going crazy at first, thinking that his Father's constant vigilance attitude was finally started to make him paranoid; perhaps the old man was up to something here with always keeping a close watch on one's surroundings.
"Yeah, come out whoever you are!" Drum said, trying to appear tough in front of his new friend. "If you have any problems with my buddy, you have to get through me first!" Nevermind that Basil could take care of himself if he digivolved to his Champion form, but the green-scaled dragon was still tired he'd wager after expending all that energy and only just regaining back some of it.
OOC: Sorry for the holdup, I've been sick this week because of the flu and trying to work a reply always gave me a headache.

The green dragon shouts to the surrounding trees in concern for the Digimon that watched them from afar, accompanied by his newly-acquainted, red-scaled lackey, who saw it fit to draw hasty assumptions by claiming their silent observer had issues with his friend. A friend? Based on Blue's earlier deductions, the two had just met each other not even several minutes earlier, and the armored pipsqueak thinks it's appropriate to start labeling strangers as friends? It took thirty years for the Red Mantle and he to cultivate their companionship, and this asshole thinks he can do it in less than a quarter of an hour? A nerve was struck, and the Veemon's face lit up red with an unusual feeling of anger, one he had not felt in quite some time — not since he first met Red. Using his arms to balance his upper body weight, Blue curled his legs into his chest, then placed his feet against the branch that formerly behaved as his seat. Finally, he curled his legs in again, tensing his muscles, and bounded forth from the canopies, his body and cloak silhouetted by the blistering sunlight above as a myriad of verdant leaves scattered to the four winds upon his emergence. Skillfully, Blue rolled himself forward as he began to descend through the air, spinning like a certain, shoes-wearing hedgehog until his large, thick feet made contact with the grass in a mighty thud, the brown windbreaker draped over his shoulders fluttering behind him from the impact of his expert landing. "Yer damn right I gotta problem, shrimp," Blue muttered, his words thickly caked in a Brooklyn dialect. He lifted himself back into a standing pose, then proceeded to thrust forth a finger at the armor-wearing Rookie to make his opinions as clear as he could. "But it ain't with da Jolly Green Midget ovah dere." Suddenly, Blue entered into a fighting stance, crouched low and fingers curled in a menacing claw shape. "It's wit you." What was he thinking, picking fights with strangers?! If anyone knew him well enough to know his battling habits, they would have definitely called the feisty Rookie out for being brazen with his approach to these two Digimon. But the Veemon knew what he was doing, and he certainly had no intentions of deleting the little guy — even if he did dress like he was asking for it. Unbeknownst to either of the two dragon Digimon, Blue's whole goal — for the time being, anyway — was to determine whether or not the red one's ability to bond with others was genuine; since he knows why the green dragon was here, he could report back to Red and they'd relocate their meditation elsewhere. The armored squirt, on the other hand? Sure, he could call the green guy his "friend" all he wanted, and he might be able to get away with it around his own circle of peers, hell, even with ol' Cabbage Patch there. But was he willing to gamble on that? He beckoned the red dragon forward, eyes glimmering with determination. "I don't even need ta Digivolve ta beat da snot outta you."
(yo, if a fight actually does break out, try not to stress out over the idea of winning, since my intention isn't to win. i just wanna build on blue's character some more, lol)
