Blake WinchesterZachary looked to Panthermon and he looked back at the concept of his 'creation'. " Well I wouldn't say I 'created him'. " Zachary said, kneeling down to pet Panthermon on the head. " It's true I drew pictures of him and came up with some of his forms... but he is his own person. Honestly I don't know how it happened," he said. Panthermon was well aware of his sense of self-- that it was clear he wasn't just a newly created digimon as green behind the ears as say Barkmon. He was actually reconfigured at one point. How and why, and his past was still a mystery to him-- save some nightmares that plagued him even despite ridding himself of the dark mark. For now, they all were getting better acquainted. Though the comments Panthermon got were rather... odd to him. " Cats can't chew gum," he said, not sure if he understood the comment or not. Gum chewing for a cat would look weird. Either way Blake was right, Panthermon was more cooler than cute compared to other rookie digimon. Zachary designed that in mind to be a bit more like Renamon. When Blake asked about wild digimon in New York city, Zachary knew well they would show up. " From time to time, and usually at the worst opportune moments. Museum of Natural History, Subway... its not that common but still is a pain to handle. Luckily it has been quiet for a while--" Zachary said... GRROOWWWW!Panthermon's eyes went into a very feral glare and he let out a fierce growl. His fur soon stood on end, as his stance showed something was very wrong. Startled, Zachary nearly jumped. " P-Panthermon? What's wrong?!" Zachary asked, looking to him with concern. " Zachary, I sense another digimon." Panthermon informed them. A mix of a sigh and a gasp escaped Zachary, his arms lowering a bit from the surprise. " Jeez, right on cue. Can't these wild digimon have something better to do?" Zachary groaned. Recovering from the shock, Zachary ran a hand through his hair and over his face to compose himself. " Do you know where it is?" he asked. " I'll tell you in a minute," Panthermon said-- and in a blur of motion, the giant cat was gone. He was fast and with his invisibility, he was an elusive digimon. In reality, he was now scaling up one of the city buildings, trying to get a better viewpoint of the digimon and where he would of appeared. Zachary soon got out his cell phone, preparing to bring up the map so Panthermon could tell them where to go. " Sorry Blake, but looks like duty calls. " he said, taking out his digivice as well. From up at the top of one of the nearby buildings, Panthermon looked in the direction he sensed the digimon from. With his keen eyes, he could see through haze of lights from the city-- to find a large fog bank over the north end of Manhattan. He could sense it within. After which, Panthermon dashed down from the building, hopping between the catwalks, allyways, signs and other structures to easily pounce back to the ground. He returned to the others in the same etherial blur as before, appearing between them. " It's up town from here. North near the end of the city." Zachary soon took out his phone, the map on it and Panthermon looked at it. The digimon raised a paw and extended one of his claws. " There," he said, pointing at the northern tip. Zachary stood up and looked at the location." It's at the Cloisters. We gotta hurry?" Zachary said, prepared to go. They would have to take the subway to get that far up town in time. Traffic now would be a pain to get a cap between the one way streets!

The boy would watch as the Panther digimon would growl out as if it was intimidated by something. Then the digimon would state that there was a digimon in the midst of New York. Looking down at his partner he would note that his eyes were widened, and he was growling. “Hmmm so you guys can sense digimon with ill intent huh? That could be useful.” The duo of Zachery, and Panthermon would flee the scene in the direction of the enemy. Lost in thought as to what was going on the boy would scratch his head. The small dog digimon would look at his tamer, and would bark; “Are you going to leave your friends life up to fate or are you going to go help him?” The young tamers mentality would shatter, and he would punch himself in the face regaining his senses. “Yeah you are right Blue, this is our job now, and we can’t let our friend fight a dangerous battle without us there to support him.” Running to the subway station he would spot Zachary preparing to board quickly pulling his money from his pocket he would purchase a ticket, and would follow after him. “Sorry to be a pain Zach I just can’t let you go alone. This is a valuable learning experience for me, and blue ya know?” Zachary Scryer

Blake Winchester Panthermon had vanished in a blur once more as Zachary had ran for the subway-- the only way to reach the Cloisters fast enough due to traffic at that time. For Panthermon, he could easily scale and run across the buildings, getting there faster and unseen. As Zachary waited for the next train to go uptown, he was stopped by the sound of Blake. Turning, he heard him insist that he should come with them to learn. " This is not a game you know! It's dangerous. Don't think this will be like playing in the tournament." Zachary said, his voice firm despite his new friend being a touch older. Still, it was clear he wanted to help. Reluctantly, Zachary sighed. " If you wanna come, I can't stop you. Just be on alert and be ready for danger. " It was then the train pulled up and opened its doors. The two would enter inside-- leading them to the cloisters.
It took less than a half-hour to reach uptown, but they only had to run the one line up and walk a few blocks. There it felt less like a city and more like the suberbs from the larger amount of greenery growing around. They were close-- along with the sudden fog that was obscuring part of the buildings and street. Reaching the area, Zachary quickly ran for the cloisters. Despite it being closed, they could reach the garden area-- and likely where the digimon was hiding in. As they reached the gates of the Cloisters, they were barred however by the gates being locked for the night. " Great... guess we gotta climb over--" SLASH!! A black claw slash crossed against the lock of the gate, surprising Zachary as he jumped back. He didn't see it coming, but as the gate creaked open from the slash-- Panthermon's form appeared before them. Not only had he beaten them here, but he got over the gate and slashed it open for them to enter. " Nice job, Panthermon," Zachary smiled, his surprise turning into appreciation. Panthermon nodded his head and turned to the gardens of the cloysters. " Careful, its close by. We can't afford to be careless. STay close and stay alert," Panthermon said, not bothering with formalities as the jungle cat began to prowl into the fog towards the gardens. The cloisters was a classic form of mid-evil architecture and design, that was also part of a church. Naturally open combat here would cause an issue if they battled too close to the cathedral. There were ageless relics here. Still to let a wild digimon loose on the city was far more dangerous. The garden had two levels-- the base one around the cathedral, and another one on an upper level recently built, lined like turrets of a castle with a great view of the city and river. The entire place was dead quiet as they proceeded through the garden path, all of them keeping an eye out as they slowly began to walk by the garden and the statues to line the path and outer rim of the cathedral. The silence only made things more tense, as they coudln't find the enemy in sight. " Panthermon, are you sure a digimon is here?" Zachary asked, his voice low. " Shh... keep your voice down. And yes," the panther replied, his senses on high alert. " I would bet my nine lives on it."

The words of his friend resounding deep within the pits of his soul; this is not a game. “I know this is not a game, and that is exactly why I am following you. If I already knew what to do I would have charged the monster head on from the start.” Truth was deep down inside Blake was a little scared about the whole situation, but the fact that he had a partner made him a target for digimon, and evil organizations alike. “I just need you to show me ya know?” He would mutter as he made his way to the rail of the train taking hold, as the engine took off in their desired direction. After dismounting the train they made their way to what the boy referred to as the cloister. “Hmmm this place gives a bit of an eerie feeling no?” He would mutter as he spotted barkmon who ran to his side. The boy would then inform them that they would have to scale the fence to even get to the digital threat was beyond its border. That was when a dark energy slash would break the lock from the inside granting them access. The source of the attack was none other than Panthermon; man that digimon had a whole bag of tricks causing the boy to form a sense of admiration. Though Barkmon was no slouch either having ran such a long distance, and still arrived at the same time they did. Creeping through the area the group would look for the evil entity that they were in search of. “Blue you got anything?” The dog would continue to sniff with its nose to the ground; “There is definitely a digimon here, but as for where that is another story something is masking its scent.” Zachary Scryer

Blake WinchesterThe chill in the air from both the fog and the ominous atmosphere was enough to make anyone nervous as they slowly made their way through the garden and arches. Both Panthermon and Barkmon were on edge as they could sense a digimon nearby. They soon passed the line of statues, sitting in attention on the wall, looking out from the building. As they passed one-- unseen to them, the big gargoyle perched there creepily and slowly turned its head in the direction of the digimon and tamers. " Its got to be around here somewhere," Zachary said, letting out a sigh as he stopped in the path. Reaching for his digivice, he brought up the radar. It could help detect digimon a bit more accurately. " Okay... it should be..." He saw the blip that represented him, Blake, Panthermon and Barkmon-- and one more white blip positioned behind them. " Uh oh." Behind Zachary and Blake, who had moved silently in the fog of the digital field, now stood behind the gargoyle statue that they had passed moments ago. It now was on both legs and towering over them, his claws extended to strike. " LOOK OUT!!" Panthermon growled and lunged! The panther pounced right on both Zachary and Blake, attempting to get them out of the way. The panther digimon tackled them both to the ground and out of the way-- just as the gargoyle slashed his large white claws at them. Tumbling across the flowerbed, Zachary scrambled to get up and looked to the enemy. It was indeed NOT a statue. The digimon was blue and white, lean with a long tail and large feather wings. It had long arms and legs, bound by straps of some kind, and its face obscured by a similar binding, obscuring its eyes. " Oh, you gotta be kidding me!" Zachary grumbled as he saw the monster before them. Panthermon, already on his feet, snarled at the digimon. The panther was all feral in his demeanor, angry that it resorted to a sneak attack on his tamer. " SPIRAL FLAME!!" Panthermon roared, releasing a spiraling jet of fire from his maw and roar. The flaming burst shot out at the gargoyle, causing it to silently back off and guard itself with its large arms and wings. (OOC: Leaving IC analysis to you man Gargoylemon appears. )

Walking through the area the boys would attempt to locate the digital threat, and to no avail Zachary seemingly becoming frustrated with the search. Blake would note a Gothic looking gargoyle standing in the area. This was his first time ever seeing one, and was in a sense of culture shock. Putting the love of the art he continued to look for the wild digimon. “I can’t seem to pick the digimon up on my digivice.” He would mutter as he would hear panthermon shout, and knock them out of the way of the attack. “What the…?” He would then turn to face the once still digimon now come to life standing before them attempting to tear them to shreds. “You weren’t kidding about this being dangerous.” Pulling out his digivice he scanned the data on the digimon. “Gargoylemon armor champion, virus attribute, and a demon beast type; special attack white statue.” He would watch in awe as panthermon charged the statuesque digimon with his spiral flame attack. “You may be onto something there if the digimon is made of stone if you heat it with your flame attack we can cool it with our ice attack repetition of this process will make his body brittle. Then we can smash through him like a piece of paper; go barkmon hit it with your attack!” The dog would bark, and would begin to churn the icy depths of its bowels, and would release a barrage of icicles “Icicle Pummel!” Zachary Scryer

Both fire and ice attacks hit Gargoylemon, causing him to repel and move away from the two tamers he tried to attack. However, both rookie attacks were not as super effective as they would hope. The Gargoyle jumped back and then snarled at them from its 'faceless' head. It was going to be tough to bring down this enemy, even if it was 2 against one. " Alright... let's just try to think, what is the best way to beat a giant frozen stone gargoyle?" Zachary asked, his grip tight on his digivice. Panthermon just growled , keeping the enemy in his sight. " Press the attack!" Panthermon answered and charged, using his quick speed to try and get to the creature. However, as Panthermon released a Shadow Claw attack to strike, Gargoylemon got clever. With a cry and flap of its wings, it got airborn, dodging the claw swipe right below him. FOr insult to injury-- the large gargoyle kicked Panthermon in the back, causing the cat to be propelled forward. " Panthermon!" Zachary shouted, seeing Gargoylemon now airborne. The large gargoyle was now hovering in the air and turned to Panthermon, aimed to attack the cat while he was down! The large gargoyle crossed his arms, causing a glow of energy. "WHITE STATUE!!" he growled, and released a sudden burst of energy-- conjuring large chunks of ice in a frosty wind! He could use ice and was now hurtling it all towards both Panthermon and Barkmon nearby-- attacking from the air! Panthermon quickly got back to his feet and darted away-- moving between the regular statues and dodging the frozen hail attack. Shards of ice shattered around them, and the icy winds easily froze the nearby stone and grass of the garden. This time Zachary growled in frustration as he got out one of his cards. " Alright, time to get tough." he said, raising up the card-- Power Plug in! Snapping the card between his finger, he drew his arm across-- his digivice in one hand and the card held in the other. In a dramatic fashion (like tv ) Zachary had his arms crossed then drew them against one another, the two about to intersect. The card soon connected, causing light and sparks to generate through the slash motion. The screen lit up as the energy of the digivice brought the power of the card to life for Panthermon. " DIGIMODIFY! POWER ACTIVATE!!" Zachary shouted, slashing the card clean through. A surge of energy rushed through Panthermon's body, as he felt the power increase in his attack power. " SPIRAL FLAME!!" He roared again, this time the fire jet erupted from his mouth-- becoming bigger and stronger than before as it arched to hit the gargoyle digimon. Blake Winchester

The gargoylemon was made of ice how could Blake have overlooked that in the digimon’s bio? The tamer had a lot of work ahead of him, and he couldn’t just leave Panthermon hanging out to dry. He watched in awe as the panther like digimon attacked the enemy with a pumped up Spiral flame. “You heard Panthermon Blue we have to charge in head first, and keep the attack going keep applying pressure, and we are sure to defeat the threat.” The dog would bark, “Leave it to me!” He would shout as he charged the digimon, which was clearly faster than he was probably in part due to him being a higher level. “Spiral Cutter!” He would shout as he unsheathed his dagger from his leg with his mouth, and spun his body building up speed charging the enemy. The attack itself raised his speed higher that what it would be base. As he got closer to the digimon the digimon dodged the attack mid air, but Blue was prepared for that. Immediately after his initial attack missed he released his dagger breaking the spin, “Tempest Bark!” Churning up a storm within the depths of his stomach he forced out a tornado in the form of a beam at the enemy accented with the sound of his bark echoing throughout it. The attack would clip the digimon pushing it back a short distance away from the cat and dog digimon duo. “Wait, I have an idea! Lets combine our attacks, your spiral flame, and my tempest bark will strengthen each other. Wind naturally strengthens the power of a flame. What do you think Zach? Back me up?” Zachary Scryer

Blake WinchesterThe attacks from both did in fact singe and slice a bit at Gargoylemon from afar and was indeed causing a strong burst. Gargoylemon staggered in the air as he flew out of range. He then let out another flurry of ice attacks with his wings, now aiming to get ahead and over them once more. " Alright, time to digi--" Zachary was about to try and armor digivolve his digimon-- but then Blake stopped him, suggesting they combine their attack power. The flames of Panthermon with the winds of Barkmon. Zachary's eyes lit up with the brilliant idea. IT was good! " H-Hey that is a great idea," Zachary said, looking to the two of their digimon. " Panthermon, you get that?" Zachary called out. Panthermon growled, half agreeing, half frustrated. " Yes! I heard you," Panthermon replied, hopping to Barkmon's side. They aimed and got set up as Gargoylemon got ready to unleash another icy gust -- this time ice forming in his claws, howling to be unleashed. " NOW!" Zachary gave the order, signaling them both. Panthermon's eyes grew more feral as he let out a hot rush of fire from his mouth. " SPIRAL FLAME!!" Now it was up to Barkmon to do the same.

Blake Winchester -- continuing solo, in hopes to finish story and cash in bigger on Sapphire scarab rewards. Panthermon darted around the field, sadly the ice attacks from Gargoylemon causing the garden to freeze over, damaging the Cloisters a bit. Still, Panthermon was focused to get rid of this enemy plauging the human world landmark-- as did his partner, off to the side to oversee the fight and support his digimon. Zachary gripped his digivice, watching as Panthermon was a black blur in the night. The wings of Gargoylemon flapped-- launching more icicles down for Panthermon, this time about to corner him. However, the black cat was fast as he roared and opened his maw. " SPIRAL FLAME!!" he roared, launching a stream of fire out at the ice. While the others missed, one was dissolved by the fire power of Panthermon's attack. With the path clear for the panther, the giant cat hopped onto one of the nearby statues on the garden and then jumped into the air after the enemy! With the impressive leap, Panthermon was right up in its face, his wild look clearly shown to Gargoylemon. " SHADOW CLAW!!" Panthermon growled and slashed his paw at Gargoylemon! The black slash of energy struck Gargoylemon, causing his body to suddenly become destabilized. Bits of data shifted on its body as if it was bugging up. As Panthermon landed on the ground, Gargoylemon was stuck in mid air, its body bugging out from taking on so much damage. Glaring back at him, Panthermon turned around and let out another roar. " SPIRAL FLAME!" he roared, releasing another blast of fire at him. This time it was a direct hit-- causing the Gargoylemon to let out a harsh roar-- and then shattered into data bits. Zachary watched as the wild digimon was defeated in the blink of an eye, a true testament to how strong Panthermon had become with their combine efforts. As Gargoylemon shattered into data bits, the bits drifted in the air and soon came to Panthermon, as he began to download its data. After a few moments, the data gathering ended and Panthermon opened his eyes, returning his focus to Zachary and his surroundings. The moment the battle ended, the digital field began to lift. The 'fog' began to become lighter and lighter, soon to disappear from the Cloisters. As the danger passed, Zachary walked up to Panthermon, a sigh of relief escaping him. " Good job Panthermon. That was a close one," Zachary said, looking around to make sure they were all good. Panthermon nodded modestly, finding the task not too difficult for him compared to other challenges they faced. " It's no problem. " the large cat said. Looking around, they soon were able to see the street-- along with the damage they caused. Panthermon became cautious, looking around to make sure no one else was around. " We should get out of here-- before anyone spots us." the cat warned. " Okay! " Zachary said, and they quickly took off away from the Cloisters. Zachary ran out of the gate, leaving the damaged lock from Panthermon alone. The police would no doubt look around, but there was no evidence to point to them.. or so Zachary felt. By the time they got out of the Cloisters, it wad dark and the two were a safe distance away. Zachary walked on the side walk, Panthermon walking upon a nearby wall next to him-- observing from a high distance up and blending in to the night. NO one else was around, so they were okay for the time being. " We better get home. Too more late nighters like this and mom is gonna kill me," Zachary sighed, finding it hard to keep the secret from his family at times. Panthermon nodded in agreement, and would escort Zachary tot he subway so he could get home. After which, he would become invisible and jump across the buildings to get back as well. However, at that moment, Panthermon sensed something nearby. Like a chill up his spine! A growl escaped him as he turned his head to a nearby building-- but didn't see anything and the sensation quickly faded. Noticing Panthermon's reaction, Zachary turned his head to him. " Panthermon? Something wrong?" Zachary asked. He saw the panther's gaze out to one of the buildings, but still the cat couldn't tell what pricked his senses. it felt like a chill, but he couldn't see anything. " Nothing... Its nothing. Come on, let's go home." he said, urging Zachary onward as he continued to walk along the wall. Zachary looked to the building too, then to Panthermon. With a shrug of his shoulders, Zachary agreed and left, heading towards the subway. As the two walked away, they were unaware of one thing-- on the top of one of the buildings that had been overlooking the Cloisters-- was a figure hidden in the shadow of the night sky. An older teen, possibly a guy in early 20s who sat upon the edge of a building. He had been observing the whole fight, and smirked as he saw the pair come and go. A devilish grin was on his face as he observed them. On his hip, he had a strange device-- a digivice, connected to him. "Hmmm... now this is interesting..." he said with a chuckle, observing as the panther took notice to him for a moment. "I can't wait till I introduce myself to them..." Alit only by the soft glow of the buildings, one could see his shadow-- revealing to be a strange being in its place. A devil in shape with bat like wings!

The next day...
Zachary had made it home safely that night, despite his parents concerns being out so late. But the fact he called them while on the train to let them know he was coming home, was just as important. They didn't give him too hard of a time either. For the night, he was able to sleep easily after he let Panthermon back into his room from the window as the two slept and recovered from the battle.
That morning, Zachary woke up as usual and sent out emails. It was a weekend thankfully so he had time, and didn't worry about school just yet. His friend Blake had gotten back home and was going back to Texas that day. Zachary was relieved the fight last night ended well at least to the best of his ability.
Stretching from Zachary's bed, where the large cat was sleeping, Panthermon looked to Zachary. "Any plans today?" Panthermon asked, letting out a large cat-like yawn afterward.
Pushing himself away from his computer, Zachary stretched himself and got out of the chair. "I was considering going by Time Square. There is a new game store there among the main stretch and I'd like to check it out. " he said. "After that, wanna go to the park and train a bit?" Zachary asked, curious to see how some of his new cards worked and for both of them to get some exercise.
"Sounds like a plan to me," Panthermon said as he hopped off the bed. Zachary then soon reached for his digivice on the desk next to his keyboard and the backpack nearby, containing his card collection. With it over his shoulder, he began to make his way out.
***
Meanwhile, the stranger from the rooftop had already begun to make plans of his own. In one of the alleyways near the exact same place Zachary intended to visit. Perhaps he knew, or perhaps it was coincidence. From there, he overlooked the streets, getting a good look of Times Square. The man watched the view with anticipation. He made all the preparations. If this didn't get his attention, than nothing would. Even so, the man looked out confident. Something was afoot as he held his digivice in his hand.
"Hey you!" a voice said from behind.
His attention caught, the mysterious man in black turned an eye to the unwelcomed company, finding a group of five thugs behind him. They were armed with knives and pipes, and they didn't look happy with him. "This ain't some coffee house, pal! Get the ---- out of here or we will smack some sense into you!" a thug with a dorag threatened, tapping a steel pipe with his palm.
Almost casually, the mysterious man pushed himself off of the wall. "Really? Is that so?" he said, almost amused. A chuckle escaped him, as he controlled himself from not laughing. "Hate to say it but you been evicted."
"Huh?" another thug replied.
At that moment, the stranger held out his digivice, and connected the sensor to his palm. It was a D-Tector! Suddenly a flash of light glowed from it, and then flashed, consuming him in its glow.
The sounds of screams and shouts soon followed. While the allyway was obscured by the traffic, the sounds of shouts and screams echoed-- showing that something truly dangerous was inside.
When the fight was over... the single stranger remained, leaving a bunch of the thugs knocked out and scattered through the ally. To him, they were mere insects to be swatted. As he turned back to his target location, the same smirk was on his face as he now waited for his prey.

Zachary continued to walk down the busy street leading to Times Square. It was filled with many people. Tourists, business people, every type of person around. He hoped to go to the shop he wanted on the other side of the square, and get lunch from the nearby restaurants. He knew Panthermon was nearby, hopping the catwalks of buildings and staying in his invisible state. The cat always was nearby in some manner, but among a crowd as big as time square, Panthermon knew he had to watch from a considerable distance.
The cat was perched on the top of a nearby building-- the center most building of TIme Square. THe cat was low to the ground as he looked over the side. While his eyes could barely trace Zachary, his mind however, was well aware of his state and thoughts. The power of Panthermon could allow him to sense his tamer easily, so it was not as if being so far away was to put him in danger as well. At least for now. The cat was patient as he waited there. If Zachary would get too far, he would move and follow.
Passing by so many people, Zachary was focused on his direction and his destination.
As he was however, the strange from before was already moving forward with his plan. He actually spotted Zachary from where HE was hiding, on another building opposite from the square. He felt so giddy with his plans, his smile was almost wicked. "Well... I think its about time to spring my little surprise on our tamer friend. " he said, and looked at his digivice. On the radar in his screen, he spotted Zachary with ease. His digivice signal was showing up as clear as any other, and allowed him to track his target. With that, he aimed the D-tector reader into the street below. "Time to come out and play, Demidevimon..." he said confidently, and pulled the trigger on the D-Tector.
At that moment-- a beam of light shot out from his digivice out into Time Square-- and at the giant TV monitor on one of the buildings. A giant surge of energy ripped through the city-- causing digital disturbance everywhere within Time Square. At that moment, the screen bugged up, causing static and digital discharge. Everyone looked in confusion up at it, but some people didn't notice.
Until... the screen suddenly released a large cloud of fog. A DIGITAL FIELD! Questionable raised voices became panic as the entire square became an uproar, not one unlike how 9/11 came. Confusion, fear and terror took grip as the explosion of 'smoke' caused people to panic. People fled from the square, and caused people to move away as the cloud began to cover the entire square!
Zachary had not noticed it-- until he heard the scream and people running towards him. "Wh-WHat the?!" Zachary gasped, before he was caught up in a sudden tide of people running the other way! He gave a shout and struggled to stand as the people were a paniced frenzy. People were running out of their cars or driving away, causing crashes and even some hitting a bus stop. "WHat's happening?!" Zachary cried out. Drowned out by the crowd, the beeping of his digivice was starting to go off, indicating a digimon coming out.
As he was pushed around, Zachary soon grabbed hold of a stone corner of a doorway into one of the shops. He felt like he was grabbing on to something to avoid being swept away by a river! He pulled himself into the doorway, keeping out of the flow till it could calm down. He soon saw it, the fog bank that was coming out. "No way... a digital field? HERE?!" Zachary gasped.

From up on his perch, Panthermon soon saw the events unfold. It was like a mass panic over the unknown cloud. This he knew would attract the human police in a matter of minutes. But Panthermon knew what it was as he smelled and saw it. It was a digital field-- and that meant a digimon was emerging in their world. Time Square was not a bad place, with so much data running around as it would make an easy place. But it was RARE to just emerge out in such a brass manner and caused such chaos. "Oh no... Zachary...!" Panthermon gasped, his expression now in high alarm.
He could sense Zachary's anxiety quickly, but soon sensed he was indeed somewhere safe and was not at risk of being trampled. Still, it was clear the danger was only beginning.
Panthermon, do you hear me? What's going on? Is it...? Zachary's mind reached his, their telepathy allowing them to talk.
"Yes, Zachary. It's a digital field," Panthermon replied, both mentally and verbally. "Stay where you are till the crowd clears, then make your way towards me. I'm heading in!" the cat said. WIthout hesitation, Panthermon jumped off the building and soon landed on all fours on the building's structure. He quickly sprinted down the building, hopping down catwalks and edges, allowing him to easily scale off signs and corners to get around. He was a black blur among the smoke and charged in without fear.
Zachary held out as long as he could till the crowd began to thin out. Police on sight were trying to coordinate and get people out of the fog blast. Luckily, as the cloud was spreading, it made it hard to see thorugh it. Zachary took out his digivice and looked at the surrounding area. He could detect several digimon were emerging out into the open area, and knew he had to get there. The moment he found a gap in the crowd, Zachary ran through it! He dashed into the street and upon the cars that had been abandoned.
Seeing him, some police officer spotted him and tried to get him to stop. "Hey kid! Get back here!" a male officer shouted, but Zachary ignored him. He jumped inot the spreading fog, running by others who were going in. He felt like a super hero, braving straight into danger with everyone else running away from it.
The fog was thick for a moment as he nearly fell off the cars, as visibility was a pain-- but soon it began to lessen as he could see again. By then, people were either hiding in the buildings or clear from view. Looking around, Zachary tried to find his digimon partner. "Panthermon! Panthermon, where are you?!" Zachary shouted out, trying to reach his friend.
There was no answer, but soon he heard something. The flap of wings! And not just like Gargoylemon, but the flutter of multiple, small ones like bats.
Suddenly, he felt someone grab his arm. At first Zachary panicked, thinking it was some kind of enemy-- but it turned out it was a police officer. The guy had followed him into the smoke and tried to get him out. "Kid, what are you doing?! We gotta leave NOW!" he shouted.
however, before the cop could do anything-- something struck him from behind. He gasped and slunched forward, letting go of Zachary on top of the car. As he fell down, Zachary gasped and tried to catch the guy. Though heavy, he was able to support him and looked to see what struck him. On his back lodged into his side-- was a strange syringe with a devil face on it. Zachary was unsure what happened but the moment after, the guy fell down unconscious and the syringe vanished in a shatter of data bits.
Zachary looked up till he saw them-- a series of little ball-shaped digimon with bat like wings, masks and mischevious little grins.
"Demidevimon...?" Zachary gasped, seeing several of them-- well over a dozen.

TO HELL AND BACK
The flock of DemiDevimon cackled to themselves as they watched the panic they began to induce, one having just tossed one of their patented Demi Darts into one of the sorry excuses of a police officer's back, causing him to collapse to the ground. The Small Devil Digimon snickered malevolently as they eyed towards Zachary, one already pulling out a syringe with their talons.
And suddenly, about 4 of the Rookie levels were instantly deleted; a gun shot heard. The remaining DemiDevimon immediately were startled, attempting to find the source of the gunfire... though a second shot taking out three more DemiDevimon was quick to make the remaining ones flee in terror.
And the source of this gunfire? A black-haired woman with a bored expression on her face.
"Howdy howdy." The woman would drly comment towards the young man, she wielding a metallic shotgun; it's gleaming pristinely. Clearly though was that it was not made of any normal metal; it identifiable as being composed of Huanglong Ore. Flipping the weapon into the air, it seemed to glow and suddenly shrink down in size; landing back in her hands in the shape and form of a small coin; she pocketing it.
"You seem to be rather... used to the situation at hand. Tamer or Spirit Wielder I presume?" She would ask Zachary as she began to walk towards him, she glancing at the downed cop. Slightly nudging the law enforcer with her foot managed to get a slight cough out of him; proof that he was not deceased just yet. "He's alive. Good thing I suppose. Last thing I need is a body count."
The woman took a deep breath before sighing slightly, she staring at the tamer with cold eyes, clearly not happy with the circumstances at hand. She wanted answers, and fast. "Whose the moron who set up this field? I've taken GREAT length to have hid out here all this time. I would rather that it not be ruined." She would monotonously comment, glancing at the area around her, a tranquil fury in her eyes. "Answer me."

StigmataZachary was surprised by the level of enemies to appear. Several of them were in the air, swarming around the Times Square screens, having come through the monitors there. And it only would get potentially worse if more showed up. Zachary got out his digivice and analyzed them. " Demidevimon. Rookie level, nightmare soldiers. Special attack is Evil Whisper and Demi-Dart, which causes sedation. That's a relief," Zachary said. He then pulled the policeman behind one of the cars, trying to keep him safe. At that moment, something unexpected happened! Shotgun sounds went off, and a few of the Demidevimon went scattering into bits of data! It was then the MYSTERIOUS WOMAN appeared and covered Zachary for what time they could. She walked towards Zachary, asking who he was and demanding information from him. " I'm a tamer... and sadly, used to it and not by choice," Zachary said. "But yes, he is okay for now. I think those Demidevimon can only really put other humans to sleep with those darts. " he said. She was quick to complain about the digital field, about hiding out and how it was ruined cause of it-- as if Zachary had a hand in its appearance? " H-hey! Its not my fault! I live in New York City, and I am just as surprised as you are!" At that moment, another Demidevimon came overhead, spotting them as they were hiding out between the cars. "Aha! Gotcha, my pretty!" the Demidevimon snarled, preparing to throw another dart--- " SPIRAL FLAME!!" A jet of fire came flying out of nowhere and blasted the Demidevimon. The blast caused the winged bat creature to go spiraling off in the air, thrown off by the hit of the blast. Pounching over the cars came Panthermon. The black jungle cat digimon soon landed near the group, confused to see the lady nearby. " Who's the pretty lady?" Panthermon asked rather to the point. " I don't have a clue. Who are you anyway?" Zachary asked. Still, while questions were welcome, more Demidevimon were closing in on them from the air. Their snickering and aimed darts began to form-- getting ready to throw at them! " Look out!" Zachary warned, and got behind the nearby car. Panthermon darted out of the line of fire. As he did this, Zachary, from behind the car, got out one of his modify cards he had in his pocket. As the darts pelted against the metal of the car, he brought it to his digivice. " Digimodify!" he shouted slashing the card through. " HYPERSHIFT-- DOWNLOAD!" The energy of the card gave Panthermon a sudden surge of energy-- as if it was a B-12 shot. He literally became faster in his movements as the Demidevimon tried to hit him with the darts. Several of them shot to strike the cat...however, as they tried, Panthermon's movements were like that of a ghost. His natural speed, plus the enhansement of the card, literally caused afterimages of him where he was. Each time an enemy attacked him, they only hit his after-image as several moved about due to his rapid speed! "WHere that flea-bag go?!" one of them grumbled. However, that one didn't see Panthermon pounce upward, attempting to strike. " SHADOW CLAW!!" SLASH< Panthermon's fast strike struck the bat digimon from behind, dealing good damage and knocking it to the ground. As it hit, it shattered into bits of data. (Cards used 2/7-- Hypershift : 100% speed boost for 2 turns. )
