Yusuke was doing a better job at entertaining the little ones than he was at actually building - due to a lack or opportunity really - but then this job was just as important, so much that Gabby didn't even mind him being distracted, instead chuckling at the sight of a natural caretaker. Yusuke could easily do her job one day if he really wanted to, that much was obvious. Besides, she had enough helpers among the remaining tamers and digimon. Solo Digimon, tamers, spirit wielders... There were plenty of different types of people there, all ready to help out. Not all of them seemed to have a talent for consturction... The candlemon in particular suffered from an incredible stroke of bad luck, stepping on a shovel and breaking some of the logs before he actually started nailing them in place, "Be careful over there! This is a construction site!", admonished Gabby, half worried for the Candlemon's safety, the other half worried about the construction itself. But much to his credit, Eddy managed to wrap his head around the new kind of work, eventually pulling his weight and helping out with building the wall. The Spirit wielder on the other hand, was terrible with children, even if he did the right thing in the taking the hammer away from one of the babies before it got hurt, "You're not really good with kids huh...? Sure, you can dig some holes over there for a playground!", Gabby pointed to a nearby empty plot of land right next to where the daycare was being built. Soon it was time to get started on the ceiling. The tamer with the Doramon actually beat Gabby to it and armor digivolved his partner into something that could fly, only to be joined by Ari who helped Jetdramon, "Hold it steady...", she spoke; unable to fly Ari fully depended on Jetdramon to hold the beams steady so she could nail them in place. In the meantime, Yana was still playing with the newborn Oceanis and the remaining babies, and seemed quite good at it too, "Anybody who can fly; help those two with the roof!", asked Gabby, as she got started on the indoor walls. The reborn Oceanis nodded as the tamer, Yana, explained everything to him. So they were building a daycare huh? At her suggestion for him to play with the other kids and keep them distracted, the little digimon nodded, bouncing out of her hands and making his way over to the group of fresh digimon. Thankfully, Oceanis was smart for his 'age' (most likely because was really older) and soon had rounded up the infant digimon in several games of tag and hide and seek, making sure to keep them away from the construction going on. It was almost strange. The little digimon had just hatched not too long ago, and already he was practically becoming their leader. Thank goodness they knew he was purified of the virus, otherwise this might be a bit of an unnerving trait. Still, it was heartwarming to see the little digimon playing, even when they were busy with construction.

Crystal turned to the strange spirit wielder in it's canine like form, and answered the question with another question "Shouldn't you? I was just ready to start flying things up to the roof." she then saw Yusuke trip over a stick and start laughing as he got "trampled" by the young ones, which turned into them tickling him. "I never thought he'd be good with kids..." thought the Patamon as she flew up to help the two with the roof.

Meanwhile, Yusuke, after that barrage of little ones, couldn't help but continue playing with them, and a new one came towards the mix from over in Yana's direction... "I guess I should introduce myself, huh? I'm Yusuke, it's nice to meet ya'." he smiles in a friendly way... "Strange how I always end up taking care of the children... At family gatherings or otherwise." he thinks before readying himself to the challenge of keeping the young ones out of trouble...

Degas shrugged and ran off digging more holes where the Gabumon indicated. Once he was done he looked around. It didn't look like any more holes needed to be dug. A bummer since he wasn't one for heavy lifting.

You don't even know how to build things. his inner demon mocked. I will learn. How hard could it be. A simple sandbox first right? A bottom and four walls easy enough.

I'm going to enjoy this. He scoffed at himself.

He reverted and tossed his red hair back. He really did prefer being a beautiful human. As beautiful as a mutt with two lame legs. He sighed and grabbed a hammer and nails. He went over and picked up a couple of boards.

He began looking at the nails compared to the boards thickness. They were too short. So he spent some time sorting through the nails organizing them by size. After all they needed to be able to find what they needed. In fact....

He started going around the construction site collecting the scraps and straightening up. His thoughts of building a sandbox forgotten. The work place had to remain clean so no one would trip over anything.

As Oceanis and Yusuke played around with the youngsters, they could both tell how eager the little ones were to play with the sandbox the Gazimon was building, long before he had actually finished. It might be more accurate to say they were curious even before one could realize what he might be building, It would take a good bit of effort from the two of them to keep the babies from wandering too close, but with a little skill and/or luck they might just pull that off. All the babies seemed quite taken to them, thus leaving their curiosity as the only obstacle. Dekas would indeed find just about all the raw materials he might need to build different sorts of playground attractions. Spare metal beams, wooden logs and slabs, nails. The only challenge would be how to go about converting all of those materials into something safe for babies to play with. But he would occasionally have to contend with an overly curious botamon or Punimon wandering too close to his work space, that was, unless Yusuke and Oceanis didn't find a way to keep an eye on them all. Up the roof, Yana had gone to help Crystal, Dora and Ari, handing them nails, tools and the like from the ground so they didn't have to climb down everytime, "Nana-chan, bring up that toolbox!", she called out, and Yana struggled to do what her partner wanted. But she wasn't that tall... Struggling on her tiptoes, the ballerina tried to raise the toolbox as high as she could, but she just wasn't tall enough. Gabby was also busy indoors, moving things around and trying to build some walls, leaving space to put up doors too... Construction posts: 12

Zachary was pleased to see Yana there as she welcomed them.Despite them being late, they were more than welcomed. Pantermon still felt a bit out of place among all the baby digimon around though. However, many of the babies were also getting in the way of the other tamers. Seeing this, Zachary turned to Panthermon. "Panthermon, why don't you keep the babies company while I help with the work. That way they don't get hurt in the construction?" he suggested.

Panthermon turned to Zachary, a somewhat blank expression on his face. "What?" he asked.

"Um... you got something against little digimon kids?" Zachary asked, seeing the unnerved expression on his partner's face.

"N-no of course not. Its just, they seem unusually friendly to me," he said, seeing a few more bounce their way over to him. "Besides, what am I to do with them?"

Panthermon seemed nervous around them, and it made Zachary want to laugh a bit-- but he contained himself so as to not anger the black cat. "Just play with them ? Keep them company and out of trouble. Don't worry. Cat's have great protective instincts." Zachary smiled and went to work.

Panthermon frowned at Zachary, denying the last part, but couldn't voice any complaint as a botomon hopped up on his back, jumping up and down. "pigge-back" it squeaked, wanting to ride about.

"I'm a panther, not a pig..." Panthermon grumbled as he began to walk around, other digimon following him like a pied piper.

As Zachary laughed at the 'admirers' Panthermon obtained, Zachary helped with the cementing of the building. Putting on the same gloves Yana had, he helped keep the cemeent wet inside the machine and as they poured it, he kept it steady. "Alright, ill level off one side, and you the other?" he suggested.

While he hoped to help build the playground too, this was just as important. As he looked around, things were slowly coming up nicely.

[Eddy]

After sometime of nailing the walls, Eddy stopped and whipped the wax sweat off his candlebrow. The wall in question was finished, despite the Candlemon's short comings. Nonetheless, Eddy felt rather pleased with himself. He knew he was going to be paid handsomely for his work....at least that's what he thought, that is. Nonetheless, finished with the job, he stretched out....only to remember that he was a on a ladder. Thus the Candlemon fell, creating a loud thud as he hit the ground. Letting out a loud curse, he brought himself back up. Rubbing his back, he listened as the Gabumon called out for assistance on the roof. Having just had his own little adventure with that ladder, Eddy grumbled and simply laid back against the building, hoping he could remain unnoticed until the Gabumon needed help with something on the ground.

As awkward as he might have felt, Panthermon did a pretty good job at keeping the kids entertained. He would find that it didn't really take much, just being there was about enough for the small fresh level digimon to try silly things such as hopping onto his back, with others following suit. For a digimon of his level, the babies would feel all but weightless even after a few more followed their friends and tried to hop onto Panthermon's back as well. In the meantime, a few others were doing a really good job at distracting the Gazimon from working on the playground, maybe Panthermon would be able to do something about that? In the meantime, Zach and Yana tried to work on the walls inside, with the girl nodding at his suggestion, grabbing the necessary tools to help keep the cement surface flat: "Alright...!", she flashed a tired smile, running her forearm across her forehead. Indeed asking a ballerina to graduate into contruction work might have been a bit much, but she was clearly doing her best to hang in there and do her part. She had managed to pass the toolbox to Ari with a bit of effort, and they were doing a pretty good job with the roof up there. Before long, Gabby had to turn on working lights for them to be able to keep working on things indoors, as the roof as now complete, at least enough to block out the sun. As for the Candlemon, he didn't have to wait long. The moment Gabby saw a pair of idle hands indoors, she immediately urged Eddy over to her, pointing to a pile of wooden boards she was working with, "Help me set down these floor boards!", she asked, placing one down and trying to adjust it. "Step right up and ride the kitty!" Oceanis laughed out as he was perched on the reluctant panthermon's head. The little guy had practically become leader of the group of baby Digimon in such a short amount of time, and now he had a mount to prove it. Granted, the panthermon's might object to that, but who was going to hurt something so cute? Besides, it was a majority vote, with many of the fresh Digimon riding on his back.

Oceanis laughed again. For some reason he felt so good being back to normal, even if he couldn't remember his time as Gepetto. Just to feel so light hearted and free again! He bounced lightly on the panthermon's head, before suddenly a bright glow engulfed him. The infant Digimon watched in amazement as Oceanis shifted and changed, the light fading to reveal he had digivolved back into Gummymon. If he wasn't popular with the kids before, he certainly was now, as they began to cheer for him. Oceanis smiled brightly, bouncing on panthermon's head before realizing he now weighed a bit more than usual. "Hehe, sorry," he said sheepishly.

Degas shooed away the baby digimon multiple times then opted for ignoring them completely. If they wanted to get in the way and get hurt that as their business. He hated children for a reason. The bubbles was one of them. The foaming spit covering them....it was a disgusting sight. 

You probably sired a few wee ones yourself. his inner demon said laughing. It wouldn't surprise him but he honestly didn't care. Man, woman or otherwise he could almost guarantee he'd done every type....except digimon. That had to be checked off his list. Gross... He laughed at his inner demon.

His hands went to working on a play house. With slides, steps and cubby holes. He'd have added monkey bars and a rope ladder...but they didn't have appendages so he doubted they could do such things.

These things were worse than children now that he thought about it. If you had to compare the two at least babies couldn't run around for a few years. Honestly you can't compare. You have raised either. his inner demon said making him sigh.

He wiped his head after a few hours work. He was sweaty and that made him sexy. Not sure about that. Well he's never smelled a hot guy sweating then. Degas scoffed and continued his inner monolog turning as it normally did. The one thing he never stopped thinking of he could guess.

Crystal had helped with the finishing touches of the roof as she helped lay shingles and people hand nailed them on... by the time she was done the sun had started to set, turning the light to a slight golden tint. "Alright, what's next?" asked the Patamon, who still had a nail in her mouth "I'm ready to help whoever needs it!"

Meanwhile, Yusuke had his "job" taken from him by a panther like Digimon that he could have sworn grumbled about it. Since his job was taken, he decided to help Gabby. He walks up to the Candelmon and the Gabumon "You need any help?" he offers as he waits for his response.

Working with Yana was a nice change of things. It was strange they were tamers around the same time, but to him, she seemed like someone with far more experience than he had. Even with a powerful digimon, one's strength as a tamer revolved around how well you guided and treated your digimon. As they finished the cementing, Zachary looked to Yana. "So Yara, how did you meet Gatomon?" Zachary asked, curious how she became a tamer as well.

Meanwhile, Panthermon was playing babysitter to many of the little baby digimon. Several of them were jumping around and chirping at him. The cat however was sitting down, keeping an eye on them. However, a few of them found him to be like a giant play-jungle gym. Two little digimon were on top of his back, jumping up and down while he was laying there. Another one chased after his tail, which was somewhat swishing about irritably. Occasionally, Zachary looked to his partner from afar.

The cat seemed rather content, but he would glance about at the other babies. Often if one got too rambunctious near him, he would put a paw on him as if he was a cat catching a ball. It was enough to calm them down, as he also batted them around gently to 'play' with them. It was almost 'adorably pathetic' to see the cat pouting like that.

It was then they were asked to help with the floor boards to one of the houses. Zachary finished the last bit of what he was doing and turned to her. "No problem! I'll help!" Zachary said and ran towards the next activity.

It was relatively easy as they laid each narrow plank down to the groove in the room. It was nailing it in that was the real labor. Hopefully they had a nail gun or something aside a regular hammer and nail. Still, each board, one at a time, went in easily to the right spot.

The wombo combo of Panthermon and Oceanis finally proved effective enough to provide the construction workers with the distraction they so desperately needed. Babies laughed and bounced around the Panthermon's back and the ground around him, focused almost entirely on the two elder digimon. Even though Oceanis was elder in age only, being otherwise indestinguishable from his kin. Yet that was all about to change. Out of nowhere, Oceanis was glowing, his form shifting in a dazzling light show that had every infant's eyes on him. And when it ended, he was back in one of his more familiar forms, Gummymon. Together with Panthermon, they were more than capable of keeping the babies entertained long enough for the other tamers to finish their job with construction. "Hmmm, we just ran into each other when I first entered the Digital World...", Yana answered with an apologetic smile, clearly worried about disappointing Zach with such an underwhelming story. Thus she was pretty quick to shoot the question back to him, "How about you and Panthermon?" They had enough conversation topics as they put down the floorboards, and as they did, Crystal and Ari finally put the finishing touches on the roof. The Daycare center was now livable and ready to take in children, with Gabby having been busy setting up the doors while the tamers finished laying down the floor boards. By the time they were finished, it was late in the afternoon, and Gabby wiped the sweat off her head as she looked down at the completed work, "Wow... This really came along nicely! Thank you; I couldn't have done this without all of you!!" It seemed like the job was all but done, at least Gabby considered it so and likely wouldn't ask anyone for extra work. But Degas was still working on the playground, and even as Gabby handed each one of them a fair sum of bits, "However, whoever helps me finish the playground will be welcome to a bonus~!", she grinned as she headed over to the would be playground, just as Degas finished his playhouse. "Makes sense, the kids won't always have Panthermon around~", Ari teased, heading over to check on him before helping with the playground. Construction posts: 18 (2 more for perfect finish!!)

Degas looked behind him at the finished Daycare. Now they just needed double locked doors and to shove all the babies inside. Cruel much. He could care less but he really disliked children.

He noticed the others coming over to help finish the playground. Let them do the rest he thought and looked over to the big Panther. So big black a regal. He also seemed annoyed by the little ones.

Degas approached Panthermon. He sat down beside him but not close enough to be in the way of the children and stared. He was watching for the perfect opportunity to huggle him.

Huggle? Seriously? What? He was handsome and looked all cute and fluffy. He just wanted to hug him, and squeeze him, and love him. I'm not sure how to respond to that.... Stumped again ha.

Degas smiled and when the children slid down his back before they could get back on; he pounced. He wrapped his arms around Panthermons neck and rubbed his face in it slightly.

"Soft." he murred in delight. He began idly petting him. "My big ol' panther." He teased the kids. They made an array of sounds and a few even said nu'uh. They jumped back on in retaliation and he would gently slide them off. It quickly became a game. Of keep the panther clean of babies.

You are seriously enjoying this of all things. He had something soft to huggle. The kids were a minor disturbance he thought. Weird to the third degree.

"You know such a big and handsome pather as yourself. Really should have a tigeress beside you." He whispered to Panthermon as he slid another kid off. "I'm willing to fill that role...and you wouldn't have to worry about kids."

Good god you have no boundries. his inner demon said. He chuckled.

The boards were done soon enough as Zachary laid out the rest of them with Yana, and hearing the need to help with the playground, Zachary was thrilled to help. "Sure! Let's make the slide first. I used to love the slide growing up," Zachary said as he help get the metal and plastic parts for it. "Let's try to use as smooth a surface as possible for them to easily go down it."

Zachary then answered Yana about how he and Panthermon met. "It's an odd story. I just moved to New York City, and i went to the card store to buy some digimon cards. After I found this strange blue card, he sort of appeared in the park. I didn't know it then but he kind of 'prowled' around trying to find me till he pretty much hunted me down at my parent's apartment. It was a bit odd to see a giant jungle cat in the middle of New York City. I had no clue digimon were REAL before then. Let alone the fact the digimon I dreamed up came to life," Zachary said, pretty much revealing how he more or less created Panthermon that they now saw.

As Zachary worked, Panthermon was still feeling out of place as the baby digimon played upon him. Hearing Gatomon called out to him, he grew a vein on his head. He turned up to look at her. "You wanna switch, Gatomon?" Panthermon said with a touch of annoyance in his voice.

However, while he was dealing with the kids, one of the human helpers decided to do something rather rude and stupid. He pretty much jumped in near Panthermon and attempted to snuggle him. His words were rather... odd and almost overly friendly to the clearly large jungle cat. While he was already irritated by the little digimon jumping on him like their playground, he did nothing cause they were kids and had a soft spot for them as well. This guy was just one man child who was a bit TOO Friendly and crossed the boundery. A growl escaped Panthermon as Degas said they should snuggle in a far more intimate way.

Seeing this, Zachary grew a very disturbed sweat as he saw what was going on. It looked almost homo... well you know. Zachary could tell Panthermon was NOT liking that kind of contact. "Uh-- Hey you! I wouldn't do that if I were--!"

GRRROWLROW!!!" Panthermon snarled, too late to be warned.

Panthermon violently turned and proceeded to maul the stranger, biting his arm and scratching the hell out of him, the two of them now tumbling around in a vicious feral fight. (OOC: NOt lethal but its gonna sting)

Zachary sighed as he glanced at Yana and her Gatomon. That guy was INCREDIBLY stupid to think you could just walk up and start smothering a digimon based on a WILD JUNGLE CAT. The feral look in his eye was a dead give away to back off but that guy just really crossed Panthermon's boundaries.

Ironically, the baby digimon merely laughed as the cat attacked the man, and Zachary looked on shocked.

It soon ended and Panthermon grumpily walked away from Degas, leaving his clothing torn and a few scratches visible on his body. Still, the babies followed the jungle cat, but now the man knew not to mess with a cat like that.

"Eh... I guess it's true what they say," Zachary said as he was slightly startled by Panthermon's violent action. "You can take the cat out of the jungle, but not the jungle out of the cat."
