SKILLS FLAWS ● simplistic; many consider this to be a product of his personality, or due to his old age. some, if not all, problems are given a soft approach by audric. even ones in which someone may lose something are never placed under pressure. ● ex-metalsmith; granted that a good sword or a solid hatchet are now considered relics in comparison to all kinds of trigger weapons, audric has spent years of his life working with a hot anvil and forge. he still gets the urge to craft, but there really isn't anybody to appreciate this lost art. ● cold-resistant; the fur and bulk aren't just for show. audric has grown up in the coldest of regions and, thus, has gained a resistance to frozen winds and snowfall. he isn't immune to catching a common cold, however... he claims he's working on that. ● chef; yes, he actually is quite handy in the kitchen. he mostly cooks up soups and stews, though he has worked with fresh slabs of beef and pork over a smoker. he avoids bird meat at all costs... ● intimidating; audric's bulk, height, and lack of any facial expression can often cause foes to flee. he doesn't like this aspect but, it does help in some situations. ● silent; audric has a habit of not speaking his thoughts, especially when he has a lot to say. this leads people to believe he's a mute. ● nostalgic; audric doesn't like change. he doesn't like that the world is becoming more technological and he hates seeing people with guns in their hands. to be fair though, there are some things that just shouldn't change. ● pyrophobia; working with a forge is one thing, and cooking over a flame is another. but seeing an open flame without anything to keep it from moving is absolutely terrifying. ● chicken allergy; put simply, audric was hospitalized after eating a perfectly cooked chicken tender. he will never approach any bird-meat whatsoever. this happened when he was young. ● intimidating; the reason he doesn't like this is because he fears he will scare a potential friend. INVENTORY ○ handmade armor - the helmet, fur-lined leather suit, and pauldrons were crafted by audric a few years after becoming a smith. they provide a boost in his natural defense, but can't stand heat or weapons made to penetrate such armor. the suit is given a name; audric calls her anastasia. while once popular in russia, the name is greek and means "resurrection". audric only removes this when it needs polishing or before bedtime. ○ polar bear bone warhorn - though not commonly seen, audric's warhorn is a family heirloom. handed down from his mother's side, the horn is only to be blown when entering a war. the last time this article was used was far back in the early 1980s. funnily enough, it was blown by accident at the time. ○ cooking utensils - soups and stews just need a range, a pot, and a ladle. settle these into a handmade leather bag full of other stuff and they're good to go. of course, there's also a cutting board, knife and spoon kit to aid in the preparation stage. ○ d-tector - a standard d-tector device with re-inforced layering. it is colored white and blue with a gray middle button. audric has been wondering if he can install a translator to it, despite knowing some english.
