Matthew is one of my most complex characters, and is dominant in Pokemon-based RP. I have used him in a Digimon-based RP and he was well-liked. His original line did include those mentioned in his application, and I am keen on keeping that set-up, bar one stage.

Matthew loves to speak in metaphors and often nothing else. He can be direct and blunt and honest, but his mannerisms allude to a sophisticated gentleman. It is not impossible to befriend him, but he will make no verbal confirmation of such a thing. If he meets you again, then you can guarantee he has an interest in you.

The same can be said for his enemies, however. Again, there is no verbal confirmation unless he feels like saying it.

I could go on and on about how his mind works, but where's the fun in that? Your best bet is to just have a thread with him. Honestly, I don't see the point in a plotter because of this.

This is not limited to practical application, and is more than likely to show up when cast into the fray. Being jumped by an enemy and attacking is one thing, but catching them off-guard to escape is vital when necessary.[break][break]
» MUSIC AFICIONADO -- Who doesn't love music? Matthew's tastes are somewhat heavy, but he focuses on the lyrical aspect for decision-making. While the classical melodies and heavy metal riffs are empowering, it's what lies beyond the words that matter most. Don't expect him to head-bang.[break][break]
