Both Remy and Renae could do nothing but watch in horror as the champion level digimon jumped over them and then lunged to maul their tamer and best friend to death. As the attack was close to connected, the champion digimon began to glow with brightness forcing the other digimon to look away. Though as this was happening, the two rookie level digimon could swear they heard a feminine voice coming from the broken digivice. Maybe their nerves were just shot but they did know that as they looked back towards their tamer, instead of him being dead, he was holding a..crying in training koichi! The twins quickly ran up to their tamer who had just dropped the broken digivice and now had his arms wrapped around Koichi tightly as if he were his own child and was crying his eyes out with both sadness and joy. When Koichi asked why his eyes were wet, Renae just sat on her knees and gave him a compassionate look as she stroked his cheek.
"They are wet because you are crying. You cry when you feel sad. You feel sad when something bad happens and it hurts you or someone you care about. Adam is crying because he was sad that you were in such pain and he could do nothing about it. He loves you and we were all afraid we were gonna lose you."
As his female digimon spoke, Adam just held Koichi tightly to him like he was afraid that the tiny digimon was gonna float away if he let him go. All he could think about was seeing the little digimon's tamer getting mauled and his egg damaged while he could do nothing to stop it. What kind of hero was he if he couldn't save a girl and her baby digimon? As Adam cried, his body began to shake making Remy worry a little. When Remy reached out to try and seperate the two, Renae just grabbed her brothers wrist and shook her head as a silent way to say to let them be and that crying together would help both of them heal. Remy just nodded and decided to sit down and wait for a bit in the grass. Renae just smiled at her new baby and her young tamer. Sometimes she forgot that the brave jungle boy who charged into battle to save others without a second thought was still a child himself and that even his emotions could get filled to the brim. Once a few minutes had passed, she reached out and patted both Koichi's head and Adam's.
"Why don't we go get something to eat huh?"
Adam looked up at Renae and nodded and then down at Koichi.
"I swear I'll never let you hurt like that again."
