I AM NOT A BAD MAN even though i do bad things
Leyton listened as the results of the Finals were broadcasted through the radio of his Motorbike, Rei had done it; not only winning the fight but doing so in dominant fashion. She ended her fight quickly, while Leyton had nearly died trying to earn a measly bronze medal. The white hair couldn’t help but imagine what it would have been like if his arm was raised at the end of the finals; people are cheering his name, championship in hand, and confetti raining from the sky as Triton city melted around him. Instead, he won a bronze medal and was cheered on for what seemed like seconds.
He wasn’t angry at Rei, but himself for not being anywhere as strong as he should have been for the tournament. What was he to do now? The euphoria of winning the Bronze medal had melted away leaving only the shell he was after his loss to Rei.
The petty words he said to Zach rang fresh in his mind, how he wasn’t a bad guy, how strong Zach was, and then stupidly chanting his name as he left. How asinine the entire experience was, Leyton should have crushed his opponents and laughed at their pleas for mercy as he absorbed the Panthermon’s data, instead he did show them mercy, he did let them walk away and for this weakness his pride was damaged.
Turning off the radio, he backed away from the bike back soon hitting one of the brick walls that enclosed the alley. He rummaged through the pocket of his jacket, retrieving his device. What was he to do? Who did he have? The hand concealing the device tightened its grip around the device, shaking with anger. Useless!” he threw the device out of the alleyway and into the road.

「 erase the voices of love 」 Monochrome skies stretched across the Triton City as rain threatened to fall any minute like tears of a heartbroken man. The air was humid, wet and heavy, while the phantom smell of petrichor lingered like perfume. The streets weren't as busy as it used to be, perhaps due to the after party of the tournament? Crow must be having fun with his little surprise. "So, what now?" The gazimon spoke, breaking the almost palpable silence. He kept his eyes on the ground, on the pebble he had been kicking to be specific. A simple question that was actually a good inquiry. Astoria, herself, hadn't polished her itinerary just quite yet but that didn't mean they would be just hanging around. Recently, she had been reading... researching about the group called Seven. However, aside from rumors and speculations, she had nothing in her hands. Something that definitely needed working.
As the female rummaged the back of her head in attempts to recall anything useful Plutomon or Crow had mentioned for her intentions, a sharp sound of metal crashing on the asphalt distracted her. Bright hues flicked towards the sound source only to find a digivice, a D-Tector so it seemed. "Is it me or is it starting to rain digivices?" Nox blinked, inspecting them item before picking it from the ground. The German was curious though wasn't as thrilled to see one being tossed like a worn-out toy. Her gaze shifted from the gazimon towards the open road; eyes narrowing towards the nearby alley. Shady."Who do you think it belongs to?" The rabbit blinked, checking every sides of the device. Funny that he asked; the Digital World is filled with tamers and spirit wielders and for she knew, it could belong to someone "We'll find out." With those words, she cautiously walked over to the cramped lane and was quite surprised to see who hid in the shadows. Leyton Thomson. This man who appeared unimportant to most was someone she had been keeping an eye on. A spirit wielder who had reached an incredible form, quite strong and seemingly easy to get along with. It was unfortunate that he had only placed third in the recent tournament. "My, my, you surely don't seem to be the person hanging around in such a depressing place," The clicking of her heels echoed loudly in a steady rhythm, her bright green eyes piercing through the darkness as she made her way towards the man. Nox followed closely behind, staying alert in case of an ambush attack "Hello there Leyton." She stopped steps away from the white-haired, a faint light that managed to penetrate the dark alley illuminated half of her face.

I AM NOT A BAD MAN even though i do bad things
Leyton would rest his back against the nearest wall of the alleyway, his mind a blank. The same questions would arise as usual; Where can I go? What can I do? Who do I have? The answer was always the same; he didn’t know. His mind was a battlefield plagued by doubt and self-pity. Would Andrea want a loser in her presence? Would Claire allow such a failure continually loiter in the ranks of Ringbound? Would anyone look at him the same way?
So many questions but little to no answers. Only time would tell of his fate, but for now, in the present, he was little more than a ball of self-loathing and underlying sadness. He tried so hard and gone so far, and in the end, it didn’t even matter.
The announcer on the Radio continually relayed the same message, “Hummingbird is decimating her opponent!.”, Further cementing the young man’s pain in a pit of despair. Rei had lost rather quickly. The girl he couldn’t even touch had lost in a matter of minutes. There was no doubt that she still had an edge over him, but for her to lose in what must have been minute was disheartening to the white hair. He lost to her; he was knocked unconscious, and thrown into a loop all because she was too high for him and for her to lose in such a way was unbelievable.
Whoever this Hummingbird was she was nothing to mess with, Kuro’s cries of anger and righteous fury could be heard. The dinosaurs righteousness made the anger in Leyton’s stomach pool and diluted into a pond of disbelief; the same little raptor that put him on edge was having the fight of his life. “That could have been me!” he punched the hard concrete floor of the alley.
"My, my, you surely don't seem to be the person hanging around in such a depressing place,"
A voice caught his attention, one that filled him with comfort and surprise, “Astoria?” he questioned, looking into the darkened alley, the click of hills made his heart pound; it was her. He didn’t know much about her; she had a partner named Nox, she was dangerous in battle, and was in the Ringbound. Maybe she could help him find his way… No, who could he kid? She wouldn’t waste her time with someone so low, From what he could see Miss Zenker cloaked herself with pride and kindness, over a coat of sadism. Perhaps she was here to end his misery.
The brunette greeted him, her face becoming partially illuminated from the little bit of light in the alleyway. Her piercing green eyes, shot him like fresh daggers, stabbing into his presence. He wasn’t worthy to be in the same alley. “I-I’m not?” he quietly mumbled in retort to her initial greeting, “After the way I lost, I’d think I deserve to rot in this alley.” he looked at the ground.
“I’m sorry, how rude of me. How do you fair Miss Zenker?” he couldn’t stare her in her eyes, and wouldn’t dare utter her first name, she was his better and he, a broken mess, didn’t deserve to be on a first name basis with someone so powerful.

「 erase the voices of love 」 Words drenched in self-doubt left the white-haired's lips like an elegy; a funural song to a dream painfully drifting away to a place he could never reach. It was almost a saddening sight if Astoria wasn't too numb to feel other people's misfortune. In her eyes, what was in front him was a pathetic man grieving over a terrible lie. And what a fool he was to say those words: should be left in this alley to die and rot? Hah, too dramatic. But no, she wouldn't let rot away that easily."Is that so?" She said in a quiet voice, smirk receding but not disappearing. The man seemed to have realized his own remark, immediately apologizing for it and quickly changing the topic. The effort was commendable but she wasn't staying there- in that alley reeking of the smell of garbage and failure- to merely have an exchange of pleasantries. Not anymore.Astoria chuckled under her breath as she crossed one arm across her body, the other supporting her cheek as she propped it on her palm "Shouldn't I be asking you that question?" She tilted her head slightly as she lowered her lashes at the white-haired "Tell me, does it hurt? Does it hurt to fall?" From what she could see, Leyton strongly desired to win. He struggled his way up and when he was at the top, almost at the highest, he fell flat on the floor not once but twice."Yes, I've seen your battles against Reikiko and that boy who wielded a kitty," It was a waste of time, if she had to be honest. She was hoping for an all out war from Leyton but it seemed that he chose the path of the weak. She was expecting that he'd be a scum in the battlefield and would show no mercy to his enemies, though it turned out that he just wasn't that person. No matter, it could be easily fixed "It would have been such a satisfying round if... you weren't so weak," Easing her arms back down to her sides, she took a step closer to him, her eyes not leaving his figure "... hearted, that is." A common mistake that amateurs usually commit. I AM NOT A BAD MAN even though i do bad things
Sorrow was filling his presence with the passing moment, he couldn’t help but wonder what she had in store for the sorry excuse for a fighter in front of her before. Would it be quick? Or maybe she’d have Nox transform and devour the white’s hair’s spirit leaving a crumpled mess behind to rot in the alley to be picked apart by whatever being sees him lootable.
Leyton would shut his eyes fearing the worst, he hated this feeling, the feeling of being useless, the feeling of being a lesser in this world, no purpose whatsoever but to wallow in his own misery.
Astoria’s retort caught him off guard, she didn’t berate him or dismantle his ego, she offered questions. If it hurt him to fall from grace. From what he remembered he had seen the mountain’s peak. He had drank from the chalice of success, he felt invincible but one slip up later, he had been laid face down in the dirt of defeat. “It does hurt…” he mumbled eyes closing, the pain was heavy, his heart had already sunk into the pit of his chest no one to blame but himself.
The words that she uttered next caught his full attention, a word that he dreaded to hear from anyone let alone her, he was foolish to think she’d offer him any pence of comfort. “Weak?” was all he could give in reply, his eyes looking up at the dark woman who had taken another step towards him. “Weak hearted? But… I…” she was right…
“I am not weak.” he stood up, from his crumpled heap, that word stung his ears, “I-I… Guess you’re right.” he fell to his knees not able to continue on.
