The Beginning [Open]

Geopardmon slowly awoke from her slumber, her eyes unblinking as she observed her surroundings. It was dark, and the sky was illuminated by the immense amount of stars.
There was soft crying in the distance, the Geopardmon got up to her feet and looked around once more. "H- Hello? Is someone here?" She called, hoping to receive an answer. "Well.. there's me."
The rookie turned, to find a dark magenta colored digimon sitting on nothing. It looked like it had a beak, and its eyes were narrowed. "Are.. you the one crying?" Geopardmon asked the digimon. "Does it look like I'm crying? Regardless, no. I am not the one you seek." The bird replied

The Geopardmon walked away from the digimon, but stopped once he spoke once more. "Where are you going?"
"To find the one crying."
"You're going the wrong way." The magenta digimon got up, before gently making its way into the other direction. Geopardmon followed without a word.


In the distance, sat a purple colored human. It sat hunched over, palms covering its face.
"H-hey?" The Geopardmon walked up to it, placing her claw on its shoulder. The human looked up, tears in its eyes. "Why are you crying?" Geopardmon continued. "I- I don't know where I am.." The human sobbed as Geopardmon now wrapped her arms around the distressed creature. "And I'm all alone.."
The Geopardmon looked at the other digimon, who narrowed his eyes further but did not show any signs of compassion.
"It's okay, we're here. You don't need to be afraid anymore."
The human looked up, and finally smiled. "Wh-what are your names?"
Geopardmon looked at the bird, before looking down with a kind smile. "My name is Nyx." She didn't know how, or why, but that was the only thing that poppped up in her mind.
"I am Erebus." Spoke the bird digimon, who then sat down beside the human.
"My name.. my name is Eleanor."

Suddenly a white light engulfed the three characters, and as Nyx opened her eyes, she was surrounded by dark skies, tainted with red. Beside her, came a disgruntled noise. The digimon turned, only to see a little black Botamon staring right back at her.
"Oh." It spoke. "It's you."
"E-Erebus?" Nyx said, to which the black Botamon hummed. "Weren't you a bird?" She asked, and the Botamon's eyes narrowed. "Yes, and you were a cat. Now you're a Yukimi Botamon."

The two fresh digimon then turned to look at their surroundings. "Where are we?"
"Somewhere in the Digital World." Erebus replied, before turning back at the Yukimi Botamon that had emerged from the same egg as him. He had awoken a few seconds before Nyx had, the Botamon had then realized that he was now split in two. Why? He was probably punished by those awful humans that were the cause of this anyway.

"We.." Nyx began, catching the Botamon's attention. "we have to find.. Eleanor."
Erebus scoffed. "She's in the human world, how do you suggest we get there? Magically fly there?"
The Yukimi Botamon felt even tinier than she was. How were they going to find their tamer now?

Nyx felt a tad lost in where to look for an escape to the human world. They had to be united with their tamer, and Erebus wasn't really much of a help. This place. It looked empty, dark, and dead. Much how Erebus actually felt. Fragments of the past were coming back to him. The torture, faces of humans that were looking at him, enjoying his endless pain. However, Nyx interrupted his thoughts as she was delighted to see three figures appearing in her eyesight.
A human and two digimon. Erebus wanted to shudder in disgust, two digimon, probably shackled to this no-good of a creature. Forced to battle, to injure others and end up dying by his will.

Nyx looked up as the rather tall human bent through his knees to meet them at a lower level, it made the Yukimi Botamon feel slightly more at ease. Beats talking to someone large.
"I believe we just hatched." She told the human, her eyes darting over to the Guilmon and Veemon. They looked healthy, which pleased the fresh digimon. Sadly, her twin brother did not share the same opinion. He simply narrowed his eyes at the tall human. The vile creature then asked them if they needed help. Erebus turned to his sister, giving her a warning look. Nyx chose to ignore her rather rude brother.
"As a matter of fact, we are trying to find our way to the world of humans." Nyx told the three, her eyes shining with excitement. "You see, we are reborn as partner digimon." She added, not sure if she should tell the backstory behind that. She watched the human's twin digimon smile warmly at them, and as the human asked if they had names and/or memories, the white fresh digimon purred. "Oh yes, my name is Nyx." She paused, and then turned at her brother. "And this is my brother Erebus." Nyx turned back to the three strangers.

"We.. or better said, Erebus, was captured by humans in his previous life." She said, suddenly showing no emotion. "We.. he stole supplies from the rich to give to the poor. The humans did not take kindly to it, and chose to torture us. Him."
Erebus turned away, he did not want to hear this story. Albeit he did not really have a choice, the lack of paws to block his ears was annoying.
"So Erebus killed them all, including himself." It all felt too soon for the Yukimi Botamon, and she couldn't help but blink away a few tears. "The Gods were not pleased, punishing Erebus by splitting him in half and binding him with a human. Thus, I was created." She looked at the black Botamon, whose expression she could not see. Erebus was simply staring off in the distance, his eyes blank and dead.

The Yukimi Botamon then went back to the human, her eyes now full of curiosity at the sight of scars and wounds on the creatures chest. She was still busy examinating the human until he brought up two apples. Nyx was very delighted to see that, and jumped right into taking little bites out of the apple. Erebus, was not. He did not want to have any kind of conversation with a vile human.

"If you could take us to the human-*munch* world.. that would be so *chomp chomp* kind of you!" Nyx spoke between bites, making Erebus growl in annoyance. Sure she had received his compassionate side, but he saw she still lacked common courtesy.
